Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

This is one of my FAVORITE recipes to cook in my crock pot! It’s easy and so much better than one from a box. It’s so good!  Enjoy!

Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese:

8 oz. dry elbow macaroni, cooked
3-4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
13 oz. can evaporated milk
1 ½ cups milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
Chopped onion to taste

Combine all ingredients except 1 cup cheese, in greased slow cooker. Sprinkle reserved cup of cheese over top.

Cover. Cook on low 3-4 hours. Do not remove the lid or stir until the mixture has finished cooking.

  1. My oven is broken (I think actually DEAD!) so I will definitely try this – it's COLD here in Northern VA too so this sounds perfect! Thanks, Courtney!
Have a blessed day, Jenny C.

  2. This sounds delicious, and I love using my crockpot. I'm always in search of great M&C recipes. Please send a little bit of your snow to Tennessee. 🙂

  3. Yummy! Mac and cheese is a favorite with the kids so they will be thanking you tonight! Have a great day!

  4. I've tried mac & cheese in the crockpot before without much luck. This looks like a better recipe. Think I will give it a try! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Oh my!!! I think I have all those ingredients. Yea me!! We still have 12 inches of snow on the ground from over a week ago. It's remained so cold, nothing has melted. We are getting a couple more inches this week. So, I completely understand wanting something warm, cozy, and comforting. Thank!

  6. I made this for dinner tonight along with steamed broccoli (let the dip it in ranch dressing), orange segments and grapes. We all loved it. My 2 girls asked for seconds. My husband had to work late but he commented that the mac-n-cheese was really good. I'm going to try the Hawaiian meatloaf next.

  7. It sounds fabulous and I'm going to try it tonight. My husband is intolerant to onions, so we'll leave those out… anyone have suggestions what else can be added?

    1. I realize this is a pretty old post but I thought I would offer a suggestion. My husband does not like onions in his food also. I buy onion juice in the spice section of the store. You might try that depending on your husband’s level of intolerance.

  8. Just found your blog thru Kelly's Korner…
Yummy! I've been looking for a good mac & cheese recipe and this one looks delicious.

  9. Cannot wait to give this recipe a try! Would you believe I have actually never used our Crockpot?? I do most of the cooking, but my husband usually handles the Crockpot cooking!

  10. Hey, quick question….I’ve made this about three times..delish…but does anybody else get the very crusty bottom and sides? I like crusty…but it’s almost too crusty to eat..am I doing something wrong? Or cooking too long? Thank you!
