Speakers at Relevant 2011
For the past two years, I have attended and spoken at The Relevant Conference (it’s a conference for Christian Women Bloggers). It has been an honor and joy to attend and speak there! This year I am not speaking – but I will be attending :) ! Sarah Mae has asked some of us to help her get the word out that the conference has been renamed!
The new name is – {drum roll please}…
Allume (pronounced ah-loom which is french for light)
Allume (formerly Relevant) is a new community that is all about Christ invading our souls and us reflecting His light out to the world, via the online space and in our spheres of influence – home and beyond. At Allume you’ll find articles, podcasts, videos, and all kinds of goodness to encourage you in the Light
Allume social is the Christian women’s social media conference that focuses on ministering to the woman, the blogger, the story teller. We want to love well, encourage, and spur women on to shine the Light that lives within them via the online space.
Allume Social will have the same core values, same conference, just a new name (found at allume.com/social). Allume is on Facebook here and Allume Twitter is here: twitter.com/allume The new twitter hashtag is #allume and there will be a Twitter party and Q & A and prizes on Tuesday night at 9pm EST – hashtag #allume!
So if you are a blogger, I hope you will join us. The conference is October 25th-27th in Harrisburg, PA and I will be there!

Come closer to TX! I would love to attend but a plan ticket, conference pass, hotel and spending money is way out of our budget.

This looks like such an amazing conference! We’ll see what the fall brings, but I would love to attend!
As a pastoral counselor, life coach, and VERY avid blogger, I look forward to adding the ALLUME blog to my favorites! I can’t plan on attending the conference, but I CAN plan on enjoying this new interaction with my sisters in Christ!
I would love to come, that’s a beautiful part of the country and sounds like a wonderful event. However, I’m sure I’ll be home with the babies…that’s a busy time for us.
“Allume” actually means “to light” or “to illuminate”. or” to ignite” from the verb” allumer”.
“La lumière” is the noun for “light”
