I’m Going on a Bloggy Break & it’s WLWW Link-Up Time!

2011 Spring Vacation

Last spring our family went on vacation here with three other families!  We had a ball and I took a blogging break.

This spring, I’m taking a blogging break BUT I’m not going back here:

Nope!  Instead we are doing this!

We are spring cleaning!

I took this picture when we first moved into our home.  I keep a bucket under every bathroom sink with all the cleaning supplies in it that I need to clean that bathroom.

During my week off from blogging, the kids and I are going to be busting out the red buckets and filling them all with Murphy Oil soap and cleaning all the wood work, window sills, blinds, doors, counters, book shelves, and floors in the house – AND we’ll be moving furniture and vaccuming under it all – I think a scary creature could be living under our couch so pray for me!  It could be large because my children’s crumbs have been plentiful!

To be honest, the kids are less than excited about “spring cleaning” but mommy is SO looking forward to a shiny clean home!

So while we’re busy scrubbing – enjoy visiting the amazing bloggers who link up below and I’ll be back next Wednesday!!!  I will sincerely miss you all…but I’m not gone and I do plan to hop on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest in the early mornings and late nights – so I’ll see you over there.

  1. That beach looks alot like the one I was at last week! Oh so nice for this Northern girl to get away to the south!

  2. Enjoy your break momma and I hope you love the results of your spring cleaning!! I have been doing 15 minutes at a time which is KILLING me but it seems to be more effective lol! Many blessings!

  3. Hi Courtney!!
I just found your blogs and websites and I am pouring over them!!! I love them!!! I have a huge heart for Jesus and all children…which is why I feel compelled to comment about your spring cleaning…I saw some of the products in your buckets and my heart is worried!! There are some nasty chemicals in those products, I know I used to use them!! I then found a manufacturing company that sells direct to consumers (I don’t sell anything, I just buy for my family and spread the word). I’d love to share with you what I found. I feel much more at ease letting my little ones clean with me (6, 4 and 2-all boys!) now that I have eliminated toxins from my home!! May God bless your home and family.
I am soooo excited to see that you have found CC!! I direct a community here in IL and my boys and I love it!! I hope your first year has been awesome!! God is great and I love to see how he brings people together!! We have been homeschooling from the start and we love it too!! I loved your video on your daily schedule, it fits ours pretty well so that was reassuring!! I could go on for ever but my boys are ready for the day to start (yes, we usually before 7am!!!) and I am late!! Have blessed, blessed day and I look forward to talking with you!!!

    1. Courtney we will miss you. Assuming those toxic Scrubbing Bubbles don’t take your young lives over the break, we’ll see you soon.

  4. Thanks so much for this linky. Following you through feedburner. I’m so excited to have found this great linky with so many other inspiring women.

  5. Have fun cleaning!! Will miss you while you’re on Spring Break! Am looking forward to your next series on Self-Discipline. I know I struggle in that area! See ya in a week!!

  6. I love your cleaning bucket set up, I am itching to get started spring cleaning myself. I love to get everything sparkly clean for spring. Thanks for hosting WLW link up, I always enjoy reading all the interesting posts. 🙂

  7. Hi, I came across your videos because I was looking for some homeschooling advice. We started homeschooling our children about two months ago. Your advice did help me and I LOVE your energy! Your bible knowledge impressed me. We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses & we know the importance of using the bible everyday as a guidebook in your life.
I am going to go have coffee before the kids wake up and then I can put your great homeschooling advice to work. Thank you.

  8. Do you ever just stop and think, geez, I’m talking to an imaginary friend in the sky?

    No, didn’t think so.

  9. Thanks for sharing about how you’re taking time to clean. I always grew up thinking that because I was going to be a “career woman,” I didn’t need to worry about home-making, cooking, cleaning etc. Your blog has really helped me to be more balanced and embrace my role as the woman of the house. I hope that you are having a good time on your bloggy break. 🙂 http://lholmes79.wordpress.com/

  10. Courtney:

I don’t know where else to ask you a question, so I put it here. I do Classical Conversations, and am writing some unit studies to go along with some of the science we memorize (you can see what some of them cover at my website)

Do you do your own graphics, ebooks, and pdf’s? And, if so, what publishing program do you use? (It seems like a lot to learn and not sure if I should learn it or pay to have it done)

  11. I’ll be honest. I’m a little confused about the WLWW link up. Most of the time it happens on Tuesday. Can someone enlighten me on the schedule for this link up?

    1. Jennifer – I apologize for the confusion. This post you commented on went up on March 6th and then I went on a bloggy break…so usually a Tuesday post would be sitting on the blog homepage – but this week I’ve been off – you are commenting on last Wednesday’s link up – a new one will go up tonight.

I typically post the Women Living Well’s Wednesday link around 10pm on Tuesday evenings. The reason is because I don’t use automatic posting…I like to manually put it up and then go to bed…then I have no pressure in the morning to wake early and post my post. 🙂

      Thanks for asking!
      Courtney
