In Loving Memory…

My Aunt Lori lost her battle with cancer this weekend.

So this is in loving memory of her…
(this picture was just taken 6 weeks ago as she sat across the table from me at my Grandmother’s 90th Birthday party).

 Wayne and Lori

And here she is at Christmas with my uncle and cousin – such a beautiful family inside and out!

Aunt Lori was a faithful wife, loving mother and never had an unkind word to speak.  I was always so glad when she walked in the door.  I enjoyed our long talks – she was a tender and caring listener.  She always made me feel loved.

I love her and already miss her.  Please keep my uncle and cousin in your prayers this week – my heart is breaking for them. And please remember her family and my family as we grieve together.

Losing a loved one is sobering, so I will not be blogging this week.

 Walk with the King,

  27. Dear Courtney,
I’m so sorry about your aunt but I’m so glad you will see her again. My 84 year old dad passed away after a brief and unexpected illness on April 3rd and now we are caring for my 83 year old mom in our home because her health is not so great. We are blessed, too, to know that we will see my father again and my mom is wishing that the Lord would take her home. We are also cheered by our daughter giving birth to our 2nd granddaughter on April 7th. A blessing that was not due until mid April. I am so thankful to be in God’s care! May you rest in His arms in the days and weeks ahead.
    With love and prayers, Charity

I am so sorry for your families loss and your loss. It is always so hard when we lose someone we love. But be encouraged in that “but we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who arr asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep.” May God comfort, bless and keep you and your family this week.
