WLW Conference Announcement & Link-Up Party!

For those who have purchased tickets to the Women Living Well Conference –– there has been a change in our speaker keynotes. Joy from GraceFullMama.com writes:

It is with a sad and heavy heart that I let Courtney know that I am not going to be able to come and speak this year at the WLW conference. It was something I have been looking forward to, but God has been doing a lot in our lives recently. Our family is leaving Indonesia after 8 great years of living and serving there, and we are moving to Uganda!

We are continuing to serve with MAF, just now in Africa! With all of these plan changes {continent changes!}, our itinerary for training and furlough has changed, and sadly, now bumps into the weekend for the conference. I know you all will have a wonderful time, and I will be praying for you that weekend! Blessings to you all!

Joy Forney

Joy will be GREATLY missed but I am so encouraged by the life that Joy leads.  It is one of true sacrifice and surrender for God’s glory.  I encourage you to follow Joy on her blog or her husband at his blog ( I find her husband’s blog fascinating!!!  Seriously –I double dog dare you to spend 5 minutes there and not be inspired to follow Jesus more wholeheartedly 🙂 ).

So that was the bad news 🙁 .

But the good news is, God has provided a wonderful speaker to take her place.  It is my dear friend from the Proverbs 31 Ministries, Karen Ehman.

  1. It sounds SO amazing! I was going to see if it was possible to plan our trip up to Ohio around the same time so I could go! We live in Texas now, but we’re planning to drive up to Northwest Ohio where my family is. When I saw it was in Akron I was already thinking I could stay in the Quaker hotel for the weekend! I LOVE that hotel! haha I went to college at the University of Akron, so I’d love to just visit the area, too! But then I realized it’s the same weekend as The Declare Conference down here in Texas for which I already have tickets and hotel reservations. I pray it goes well and is a huge blessing to all!

  2. I would have loved to meet Joy (I am inspired by her and her family) but completely understand and am so happy for her.

Thanks for letting us know about the change. I’m really looking forward to the conference!

  3. Hi Courtney, I entered my email wrong when I ordered the tickets the night they opened. Are you able to use the email above to send me a receipt?
    Thank you! Excited!!

    1. Leah – I just sent it to you!!! Thank you so much for your patience –I know you have been waiting for this. Cannot WAIT to see you there!!!!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  5. I’d LOVE to come and even thought about making the drive to OH & staying with my friend just north of you but our family reunion goes until August 9th, just can’t make it work. Next year??

  6. Hi Courtney! I just sent you an e-mail but thought I better send you a comment on here as well just in case you don’t see my e-mail.

I had purchased two tickets to the conference in August, but unfortunately I don’t think I will feel up to coming now. I will be almost 8 months pregnant with my first. When I purchased the tickets I had just recently found out and thought I could do it, but now realize I just don’t think I can make the drive. Would it be possible to get a refund?

Thank you so much and I really wish I could make it! You ladies are such an encouragement to me and I have so much to learn from you, especially becoming a mommy for the first time!

  7. So sorry to hear Joy won’t be able to attend but thrilled to see Karen Ehman take her place! Can’t wait for the conference!!
