Hope For Single Moms

Hope for Single Moms

Are you a single mom?

Angela Thomas was a single mom for 7 1/2 years.  Her story and the hope she offers in this video below is simply beautiful.  I pray you will find comfort, wisdom and encouragement from her here.

  1. I am not a single mother, but I pray that God will give all single mothers hope and strength and to remind then that He is their first love, first friend and also their first husband.

    Peace to all.

  2. My oldest daughter, who is 30, is a single mom and has a 16 month old little girl. The father of the child has remarried and has another family. He does take part in my granddaughter’s life, since he lives just down the road in another condo complex. My daughter and the father of Analiese attend the same church and so does his wife and her kids. It’s very complex, but my daughter has moved forward in so many ways since just last year. My husband and I are praying for God to send her a Godly man whose priority is his relationship with Christ. She is not looking, but I know she gets lonely like Angela stated. She gets tired, since she is the major care provider. We never expected this to happen to our family – my daughter being an unwed mother. I am praying for God to continue to provide, protect and send to my daughter what she needs. He has taken care of her this far and I know will continue to do so. God is faithful and we are waiting.

  3. I was a single mom because of a teen pregnancy before I knew Christ . What she says is so true. I suffered for a lot of years, but years later here I am, happily married, and my son is grown up and just graduated from college .He also has a job and his own place.

  4. My husband passed away last year and now I am a single mom to two little ones (3 and 9 months). The statistics scare me too because I am black and we have all heard the stats about black boys. I always wanted my son to have his father. In fact, that was the first thing I said to the nurse at the hospital when the pronounced my husband dead, “I have to raise a black boy win no Daddy.” My daughter is another story. My husband died before she was born. He never met her. There is a great sense of loneliness, frustration when my energy is spent, and brokenness from all of our dreams crashing down. But I hope and pray God will be with me and my children to empower me and to cover them. It isn’t an easy walk at all and I’m only in year one.

    1. I’m praying for you Lauren. Be encouraged be encouraged be encouraged. God renews all things. Your time is coming.

  5. I have just found out that I am going to be a single mom. Although I professed faith in Jesus a number of years ago, I have been walking my own path recently and got involved in a lifestyle I should not have. God has shown me that I need to repent and I am praying that, in his strength, I will be able to put that all behind me and resume my walk with him. Thank you for such an encouraging message x
