  1. I have really enjoyed the Bible readings and I am learning so much. No matter how long you study the Bible you continue to learn. I am very disappointed that there will be no Bible readings on the weekends. I understand many people work but it seems like they would have more time to study on the weekends. To me it seems like by not having Bible readings on the weekends we are saying we don’t need God on the weekends. Sorry this is just my thoughts. I will continue to study my Bible on the weekend but I hate having to change my train of thought from the scriptures we are reading. Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion.

    1. Nelda, it was never Courtney’s intention for us to not read the bible on weekends. If you look at the reading plan, there are readings for the weekend. The break is from feeling pressured to post our SOAPs. Many of us do not get to spend time on the internet on weekends because of our commitment to our families…especially on Sundays when we may visit with relatives after church services. Courtney still puts up the daily reading on the Facebook page and there are some people who will have the time and they post there.

I,personally, am very grateful to Courtney for taking the time out of her busy weekend to continue to do this. I know how hard it is to carve out time on weekends so I am one of those who are glad for the break. God bless you Courtney…hope this helps you Nelda.

    2. I also think some of us are doing church bible studies or book studies and the weekend helps us focus our time on that scripture. That is the case for me anyway. 🙂

  2. Thanks for posting November, I have a question however.
It says we start reading Psalms on # 3 are we not reading 1 & 2 or is that just a typo?

    1. Hi Peggy!

Since Psalms is a book of the Bible that does not have to be read sequentially – we will be visiting it from time to time in between long book studies.

We already began Psalms at the end of September…here is the post covering the start.

When we finish Genesis we will be in Psalms for the end of November and all of December. In January we will break from Psalms and start a new book.

We’ll revisit Psalms again later in 2015. 😉

Good question – thanks for asking!
      Courtney

  3. Just wanted to thank you for allowing God to use you. You have been such an encouragement. Sometimes it seems you speak the right words just when they need to be heard. Keep
    up the good work!

  4. What a great message today in these scriptures. I think all women struggle with this which is why God gave us two strong female biblical examples here in Genesis. I do sometimes try to rush things because I am soooo impatient…LOL! Thanks for the video on this today it gave me some great guidance of how i need to wait on God to work things out!
