Coming this Wednesday –
I will introduce TWO new things for the fall!

I can’t wait to share this with you!

Make sure to return this Wednesday!

What is coming is SO needed!

Here is this week’s Bible Reading Plan:

August10

Here are this week’s Group Discussion Questions

These questions are based on the allegorical reading of this text.  We will leave it to the group to decide if you’d like to discuss this on a personal level.

{A special thank you to my leadership team who created these for us: Mandy, Rosilind, Bridget and Misty.  If you do not have a group, use these for a personal time of reflection.}:

Here are some questions you could ask in your group if you want to discuss the literal interpretation:

What did you learn from today’s reading that you might apply to your marriage?

What can you learn from today’s reading that helps you better understand yourself, your mate (if you are single your future mate), the importance of intimacy and purity?

Here is this week’s Meditation & Memorization verse!

of the same verse so you can put it in different places for review.

  2. Courtney,
I’m really wanting to “stick with” doing a daily Bible reading I’ve enjoyed it south since beginning in Proverbs. Is there a particular book of the bible that you’ve already done that would fit in the break time for me to do? Thanks

    1. Hi Laura –

I’m so excited to read your hunger and thirst for God’s Word – yay!

Please visit the Good Morning Girls Resources page during our break and see which book we have covered fits your calendar. We have studied Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Esther, Psalms 1-23, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, Matthew, 1 & 2 Peter, 1,2, & 3 John and Jude.

All of the resources and links to my blog posts are here: https://womenlivingwell.org/good-morning-girls-resources/

  3. MEDITATION FOR TODAY IN SONG OF SOLOMON 6
S – “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine, He who pastures his flock among the lilies.” (NASB) “I am my beloved’s [garden] and my beloved is mine! He feeds among the lilies [which grow there].” (AMP) Vs. 3
O – Walking with Jesus, I am HIS and HE is mine …. One in the Spirit!
A – It’s up to me! I have the choice to hear His words of love and life. I have the choice to walk with HIM – to surrender, submit, obey as HE leads. Jesus, my Lord will love me forever,
From Him no pow’r of evil can sever,
    He gave His life to ransom my soul;
Now I belong to Him; Chorus
    Now I belong to Jesus,
    Jesus belongs to me,
Not for the years of time alone,
    But for eternity.
Once I was lost in sin’s degradation,
Jesus came down to bring me salvation,
Lifted me up from sorrow and shame,
Now I belong to Him; Chorus
    Now I belong to Jesus,
    Jesus belongs to me,
Not for the years of time alone,
    But for eternity.
Joy floods my soul for Jesus has saved me,
Freed me from sin that long had enslaved me
His precious blood, He came to redeem,
Now I belong to Him; Chorus
    Now I belong to Jesus,
    Jesus belongs to me,
Not for the years of time alone,
    But for eternity.
    (Norman Clayton, 1903 – 1992)
K – LORD JESUS, thank YOU for loving me, for giving Yourself for me. Thank YOU, that I belong to YOU! In Love. Amen.

  4. I’m sad this is finishing, it’s been so nice to do every day! But the break will give me time to catch up on past studies before the new ones start 🙂
Thanks so much for this website, it has been such a big blessing in my life. It has really changed the way I read the Bible and has made my faith so much stronger.

  5. Thank you so much Courtney for this study! I am getting so much out of reading the Bible regularly, something that I have always struggled with.

  6. It’s Tuesday morning already here in Australia so I’m up and into Ch. 7! Reading John 15:1 + 2 and dwelling on theTrue Vine in conjunction with SOS 7:10-13 has helped me draw so much meaning from the text. I wasn’t getting far with it before that!

  7. Please ladies pray for my coworker Donna!! Her cousin, 5 years old has Brain cancer and she is very worried.

  8. Hi Courtney,
So a question, maybe someone else would reply if Courtney happens to not get to it? The plan to read through the entire Bible…is that including the Bible reading plans on WLW plus the good morning girls? Or if I just stick with the WLW reading plan will that cover it? I like the GMG reading plans too but just wondered if I can focus my efforts one place or another for now! Thank you Courtney for everything you do, you are such an inspiration to me and I always look forward to the posts!
    Emily
