Join us EVERY weekday morning at 7:45am on Facebook to discuss the day’s reading assignment.  This is such great accountability!

Also, join me and the #GoodMorningGirls community on Instagram. I post the verse of the day, every day and pictures of my Bible color coded and lots of other GMGs do to!

Accountability works in reaching our goals – whether it’s losing weight, becoming more organized, or getting into God’s word daily – the encouragement of others keeps us going on days when we’d rather quit!

I encourage you to invite your friends and start your own Good Morning Girls group.  You can keep each other accountable using email, text messaging or creating a Facebook group.

Not sure who to ask and you want to be in a group?

Check back here on the blog on Monday, August 31st.  There will be links to open groups here –  ready to welcome you in!

Are you a GMG Leader?  On Monday, August 31st, there will be a link for you to join our Facebook Group for GMG Leaders – we will have a manual available for you there as well as daily encouragement and a place for you to connect with other leaders.

Invite your sons and daughters!  Just like us – our children NEED to be in God’s Word daily.  Children over the age of ten are capable of reading a chapter a day and SOAKing what they have read. I encourage you to introduce this method of style to your children.  Teach them how to drink from the living well of God’s word and soak in all the spiritual nourishment they can!

You do not have to have a group to join us – I can be your accountability partner right here on the blog! Be sure to subscribe on the sidebar so you don’t miss a post!  There are no sign-ups – all are welcome to join us anytime!

I am so looking forward to the start of this study! Until then…

Walk with the King,

Courtney

  1. I’m so thankful to be in God’s Word with the Good Morning Girls! I pray that our time in Acts will be very fruitful for each one of us.

    Thanks, Courtney, for leading us!

    Love,
    Laurie

  2. So thankful for your encouragement and leadership. I started a group after finding GMG and it has blessed me immensely, giving me what i needed to be more diligent in going to the Lord regularly, not just in prayer. Thank you God for sending us Courtney! I pray for her, her continued leadership, balance, focus and all the things she craves from you. In Jesus name i pray, Amen.

  3. Hi I’m new to your blog . Using my friends computer for now get mine back Friday. I will do my study at night because I leave for work at 4 am. so excited about reading and studying the Bible one chapter a day and for the feedback for you and the ladies. 1. Ann –

Doing it in the evening is great! You have to do what works best for you. You are a GNG – a Good Night Girl!!! Love it!

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  4. Looking forward to studying the Book of Acts and sharing together. I ordered my journal (the Proverbs journal was such a blessing) and have everything ready, willing and waiting (including my heart). Thank you, Courtney, for ALL YOU DO!

  5. I love the new additions to the journal! I’m so glad you’re making these available for us to purchase, because they’re a wonderful keepsake.

I can’t wait until September 7th and am so looking forward to the fall studies!!! 🙂

  6. My daughter introduced me to the good morning girls website. I started with the book of Proverbs using a blank notebook, but using the Soak method and coloring my bible. And during the break I’ve been going back to past chapters to catch up.
My daughter this past weekend surprised me with the workbook for Acts. She bought one for herself and thought she would get me one too. I’m so blessed that we are working through the bible at the same time.

    1. Bridgett,

What a sweet daughter God has given you (you raised her right mama!)!!! That’s so wonderful you can both do this together and I feel blessed to get to do it alongside you both too!

      Can’t wait to begin,
      Courtney

  7. Does this site do anything but the Good Morning Girls Bible studies? I remember when different topics were discussed and the site was more interesting. If not, why not just rename it Good Morning Girls?

    1. Hi Laura,

A few months ago, a comment like this would have sent me into a prayer meeting with Jesus. Lol! I have really struggled over how to balance the two ministries here – WLW and GMG. The people pleaser in me hates disappointing you.

But after much prayer and wrestling, God has shown me to step back from my typical blogging at WLW. There will be fewer personal posts just for fun and recipes and marriage series as we strive to read through the Bible cover to cover together. This series is LONG! Lol! But it will come to an end eventually and then we’ll see what God has for me next – perhaps more on family. I may sprinkle some of that in through out the years – for example the 6th Annual “Making Your Home a Haven” series will be back this October and I can’t wait! It will run alongside the Acts and Numbers Bible Study.

I am focused and take great joy in the honor of leading on-line Bible Studies. This has been my first passion since I was a little girl and the reason I went to Bible college and started the ministry of WLW.

I believe marriages and our parenting and our outreach in the community will be stronger when we are in God’s Word daily. So that is our focus here. BUT what makes WLW ministries unique is it is family based. I will always be writing from the view of a wife and mom and how we can apply it first in our homes and then in our community.

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  8. Courtney,
A few months ago I found your website and loved everything I read. When you started the Proverbs study, I felt overwhelmed at the time and was waiting for your next study. I wake up at 4:45 every morning to spend my quiet time. I love it now.

Do I need to print out the journal if I am already using my notebook following the SOAK method? I realize there are reflection questions too? Are they similar to the ones you will post on the website?

Thank you so much. You are an inspiration to many.

    1. Hi Jodi,

The reflection questions are not in the printable journal but they are in the paperback journal. They are the same ones that will be posted here every Monday. 😉

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  9. Hi Courtney,

I’m excited about the Acts study. I came across GMG after reading your book, which was right before the Proverbs study. I’ve been blessed by God’s word and the community on Facebook. My desire to dig deep in God’s word has been rekindled.
I’ve been waiting anxiously for the Acts ejournal, I’ll be printing it out and having it wired bound like I did with Proverbs journal. While scrolling through the material I noticed that from Acts 8 and forward the ejournal does have the verse of the day and reflection question.
I don’t know if GMG team noticed this or not, but I’m just gonna be happy about it 😀

Thanks again for being a blessing to me through your ministry.

Blessings and greetings from Curaçao, Dutch Antilles!

    1. Kimberly –

There’s a bonus for those who downloaded it on the first day it was available! Lol! Sorry if it took up too much paper and ink – that makes it really long!

I fixed the link and I’m so glad you are joining us!!!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

      1. I didn’t get the chance to print it out yet. But it wouldn’t have been an issue with extra paper. You can always skip pages in your printer settings. And for the record, I really do love bonuses, haha!

        Thx again!

  10. I am just starting a Facebook page for a new GMG group in Utah! I am so excited to begin our study in Acts! For the time being I have been studying the book of Proverbs because I missed out on a lot of the reading that you did earlier this summer. Thank you for all you do for the cause of Christ, our Lord and King!

    1. Hi Stacey,

Thank you so much for starting a group in Utah – how wonderful! I am so glad to hear you are joining us!!!

Can’t wait to begin Acts soon with you,
      Courtney

  11. My sister showed me this site!!! So far I love it, I ordered my books, highlighters and study guides…can’t wait to start!

  12. hi! I ordered the journal for the last study and really found it useful in the study! I dont have the extra money to buy the journal for Acts, so i was wondering if you will be providing the intro to Acts, the daily reflection questions and the verse of the day, that you have in the journal? I know for me, it will be a huge help if you did! 🙂 I have enjoyed your studies and your site!
    thank you
    Kathy

    1. Hi Kathy,

Yes, everything inside the journal is eventually shared right here on the blog on Mondays as we take it week by week. 😉

      Much Love,
      Courtney

  13. Also, is there anyway you can print out what color each verse should be with your color code system? Its hard to see the colors on computer, my eyes aren’t the greatest and i really want to learn the coding system but dont want to do it wrong.

    Kathy

  14. I am so glad I found this bible study. I have been struggling with my quiet time in the word. I have a hard time staying focused. And I have done boom bible studies. But I would rather study the actual Bible. I am excited to begin this study. And feel like i will actually continue to do this.

    1. Welcome Amber!

I’m excited that you are joining us – we love studying God’s Word here and I’ll do everything I can to encourage you on your journey. So glad we can do this together!
      Courtney

  15. Hi Courtney,

I have been following GMG for a few years and was unaware of the controversy that occurred last year. Now that I know, I’ll be following here, as I’ve always loved your blogs. I am a single mum, so the “husband” thoughts are not applicable to my life, but even so I love your heart.

I’m excited about this study! I do have one question: Is there a way to get the links to blogs via email? I’m not sure if I’m missing this somewhere, but I don’t see how to subscribe.

    1. Hi Nicola..if you’re using your mobile device the subscription button is in a tiny place between the Acts journal for boys and the Women Living Well book as you scroll to the end of the page.

      1. Thanks for your help, Lisa Marie. I did find it, but I can’t seem to subscribe from either my mobile or laptop. I keep getting the following message:

Not allowed. Contact support@feedblitz.com to join this list [id:3].

I’ve tried on both Safari and Firefox. I’ve contacted the support address, so I’ll see what happens.

        1. Hi Nicola – I just entered your email address (that was left with your comment) and it worked for me! Yay – all you have to do is confirm your subscription when that email comes in and you are subscribed! So sorry about this and be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your regular email folder.

          Much Love,
          Courtney

  16. This is my very first bible study via social media. I am a little confused, I go to this website on Monday at 7:45am (central, mountain, eastern) or facebook at 7:45am. I did get my colored pencils and print outs, all ready. looking forward to it.
