The Verses of the Day:

This printable includes all 5 “Verses of the Day” — for the entire week.  Print and cut them out and put them in the bathroom, kitchen, beside your bed and computer and use them for meditation throughout the week.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

  1. Hi Courtney,

I’ve been following you for a while now and I appreciate your steadfastness and how much you’ve blessed my walk with Christ.
I have a question: After the Book of Acts I will take a short break, but I was wondering if you have a list somewhere of the books we’ve gone through. I haven’t missed a book and but I haven’t been consistent marking my coloring chart either so I can’t go by that:) I guess I’m wondering how I will know which books to pick back up in when I come back. I know the book of Numbers is next but I won’t remember that a month from now 🙂 Any suggestions?

    1. Good Morning Lakeisha!

You can find all of the past Bible Study links and resources on the Good Morning Girls Resources page here: https://womenlivingwell.org/good-morning-girls-resources/

Also, maybe you could print out this chart and mark off the chapters you have completed and not completed – so you can see at a glance which ones you still need to complete: https://womenlivingwell.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Reading-Plan1.pdf

So glad you are joining us!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  2. Hi Courtney,

I started a GMG group on the Eastern Shore of MD/DE when we started this series. It has grown to 18 people and they are spread throughout the country. Every morning I send out an email to everyone and they respond throughout the day. I continually have more and more interest so I started putting my posts in a weekly blog post on my La Mere Diaries blog.

Do I need to sign up under you guys? I don’t mind having a large group, especially since it’s made such a huge impact.

I don’t know how else to contact you so I am sorry for the comment.

Please let me know. Thank you!

    1. Hi Jessica,

Your group sounds wonderful! How exciting!

We do not have sign-ups or enrollments but we do have a facebook group for leaders where we have a free leaders manual and daily encouragement. You can find the link to the leaders group by going here and entering the password “leader” https://womenlivingwell.org/gmg-leaders/

So glad to hear what God is doing in MD/DE!!!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  3. Hello Courtney,

Thank you for this ministry! I love it and you are so inspiring and I get so excited about living near God everytime I read your posts!

I have a question about the holy spirit. I’m raised in a Pentecostal church, and in a Christian home . I have heard teaching about the holy spirit a lot, and some say you need to speak in other tongues to know you are filled with the spirit. But I do not speak in tongues, but still feel God is near and guiding me. But then I get unsure if I am filled when I think of the people in Acts who spoke in tongues..

    What do you think?

    1. Heidi,

This can be a difficult and somewhat controversial topic at times amongst believers…so I’ll just answer with this…I am filled with the Holy Spirit and I do not speak in tongues. 😉 Hope that helps!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  4. Courtney
Just wanted to let you know the doctor said I had a very small cyst and we would check it again next year. Thank you for your prayers! I’m really enjoying this study of Acts!
    God bless you!!!

  5. Hi Courtney, I’ve been researching bible studies online and keep coming across your blog! I’ve never read through the Bible before but am excited to get started. I’m wondering if you recommend starting with you here, where you are at present in Acts (or maybe at the beginning of this book), or starting somewhere else in a previous study. I think your SOAK method looks great and would like to use it and follow along with you, I’m just not sure where to start.
Thanks so much for any advice, I’m a total newbie!

    1. Welcome Diane – I’m so glad you are here!

I recommend jumping in right where we are so you can having the daily encouragement and interaction the GMG’s provide. This really helps with accountability. Then use your weekends and our breaks (at the end of every book we have 1-3 week break) to read past studies we have already completed if you are interested in those.

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney
