  1. Thank you for being an accountability partner in reading! I’m looking forward to Mark! I wonder if I’ll ever have time to go back and do the books you have already done or it I’ll have to do them after I’m done with the rest of the Bible. Time will tell!

  2. Thank you, Courtney, for being my “virtual Bible study assistant”. I have been with you since the beginning of this adventure. Your insights and those of others on Facebook has kept me going and helped me to see so much more than I would have on my own. Looking forward to starting Mark.

  3. I’m in (again). I have a friend joining me for the Mark study. I can’t wait. Reading one chapter per day and only Mon-Fri allows me to digest and reflect on what I read. Thanks Courtney. And for all the encouraging women and comments on your site. Let’s journey into Easter together. 🙂

  4. I’m in and have been since the beginning! I’ve got my study journal waiting and can’t wait to dive into the book of Mark with you all!!:-)

  5. Thank you Courtney for helping to keep me accountable on this journey through the Bible. I can’t wait to start the book of Mark!

  6. I’m excited to be in on this one also. It’s my second study with GMG! I would like to get into a small group this time. How do I do that? Thanks 🙂

  7. I love your resources. Thank you for your ministry and energy. I have been looking for something to hold me accountable and we will be starting a small group in my local church using your resources. I am excited to get started and know it will be a blessing to the young women of our group.

  8. Hi Courtney !

I am just joining in . I was wondering which book you began the study with and if I am somehow able to go back to the beginning to read your posts. Have you always had study journals for all of the books you have done in the Bible study series?

I am sort of lost, lol. However, I am really excited to dive into God’s Word in such a new and fresh way!
    Thank you,
    Nichole

    1. Hi Missy – if you want to see the inside of my journals – please visit me on instagram here: http://www.instagram.com/womenlivingwell – scroll down to see pictures of my journaling. Hope that helps,
      Courtney 🙂

      1. I ordered mine a couple of days ago, but I’ve been reading Mark since the new year…thank you for so many free resources, & for your faithfulness & leadership. Praying for you as you make sacrifices to encourage other women in God’s study.

  9. Courtney As I was waiting for the furnace man to arrive at 12:00pm. in Ohio where it is 27*. I thought I would kill some time we’ll come to find out G_D had a plan. I found you on Pinterest and I read the conclusion of Job. I want to start you Bible study in Mark. Can’t wait

  10. Courtney, I so enjoy your dedication and drive to keep this going. I have recommended this study to several of my friends that want a place to “start” – often over again – their Bible study program. The resources and daily feedback from participants keeps it interesting and exciting. Reading the comments helps identify nuggets of wisdom that we may not have seen during our own individual study, but that really speak into our lives.

My one question, though, is whether these resources are available to seekers that – for whatever reason – do not have or do not wish to get a Facebook account. I didn’t know if it is possible to read the materials and posts without an account, but do not want to insist friends get an account if they have objections to it. Any ideas? Thanks 🙂

    1. Hi Kathy,

Thank you so much for your encouragement!

Email is the best way for women who do not have facebook to keep a group together and interact. That is how the very first GMG group that ever began was ran. I just emailed my friends every morning and said “good morning – this is what I learned in my quiet time together.” And then my friend emailed everyone back with what they were learning.

If your friends want to participate on Facebook they do need an account. I”m sorry that the GMG facebook discussions are not available anywhere but on facebook but if they want to see the Instagram discussions without an account – I think that can be done from my sidebar here. (I’m not sure on this – but I think so.)

      Hope that helps,
      Courtney 🙂

  11. I’ve been reading along from the start of your reading through the Bible series. I love it! I haven’t joined a group, but I’m still getting a lot out of the study. I enjoy the questions and especially enjoy the extra devotionals that you or a member of your leadership team write each week. Thanks so much for doing this!

    1. Elizabeth – wow!! That’s so amazing that you have been here from the start! We have come a long way! Keep on going – thank you for commenting!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  12. Hi Courtney! My name is levette and I just happen to run across GMG as I was lookin through the plans on my phone. I read everyday the bible on om phone at work and also do many if the plans so glad I decided to stroll thru and saw GMG. Can’t wait to join so excited it sounds very interesting! !!!

  13. I came across this blog after I ordered my Book of Mark journal and did some research. I’m excited to start Mark.

    Thank you.

  14. Courtney…I’ve just found GMG after finishing a bible reading on YouVersion. The book of Mark will be my first study with GMG and I’m looking forward to it. I believe the accountability piece will do me good.

      1. Thank you so much. I love these studies and appreciate all the hard word you and your team do to make them available. God bless all of you!!!

  15. I will be following along with the book of Mark reading plan this month. This is my first time to participate in a GMG Bible study. I’m excited, but also worried about sticking with it. I’m a super busy working mom and often times I’m not as consistent as I should be in my Bible study. In fact if I’m honest, I haven’t been consistent in quite some time. I ordered the journal this morning and it will be here Tuesday. I’m looking forward to getting started. 🙂

    1. Welcome Caitlin- I am so glad you are here! This is the best part of Good Morning Girls – accountability. I’ll be here for you every step of the way and if you fall behind – no worries. Our reading plan is just Mondays through Fridays so you can catch up on the weekends.

I’m looking forward to this journey with you!
      Courtney

  16. Hi Courtney,

I have the Journal for Mark and am really looking forward to the study. However, I am very concerned that I will not stick to it. I have tried many times in the past to do a Bible study and always fail. I’m afraid that if I try to do “too much” by doing the SOAK method and the color coding I will fail again. I am hoping that if I do the SOAK portion and follow along on the blog until I can develop a habit of Bible study that I will begin to grow in my faith. I would appreciate prayer in this area and am really looking forward to being successful. Thank you for all that you do.

    1. Hi Sue,

Thank you so much for sharing this. You are not alone.

Try to read the chapter of the day. If that is all you can do – that is fine. If you are able to answer the reflection question or get to the SOAKing – even better. And if you get to the color coding- that’s just a cherry on top. The truly important thing is that you spend time with your Almighty God and creator who loves you so. He just wants a few minutes with you each day to love on you, counsel you, direct you, correct you and bless you.

Keep walking with the King – we are in it together!
      Courtney 🙂

      1. Thank you for replying at this late hour and for your encouragement. I am looking forward to tomorrow and even though I probably won’t be doing my study until evening I am looking forward to reading others insights and connecting on facebook.

        Sue

    2. Sue,

I am not sure I am up for the color coding at this point- and honestly I think it might be more distracting for me than helpful. I find myself focusing more on getting it “right” than focusing on the word and what God is saying to me through it. I encourage you to try the SOAK method as it really does help to internalize what you’ve read and realize how you can apply it specifically to your current circumstances but don’t be overwhelmed trying to do it all! Just be in the word girl 😉

  17. I didn’t get my journal ordered in time so THANK YOU for the freebie printable one here! I’m all ready to start Mark tomorrow morning and I’m hoping I can fill in the previously read chapters on the weekends…eventually getting caught up with y’all 😉
    Courtney

  18. Hello!
I was wondering if you were going to put up the discussion questions for Mark like you had for Job. It was really helpful. Thank you so much!
    ~Georgia
