Welcome back to Week 2 in the Book of Mark!

I have enjoyed reading all of your reflections from your daily reading out on Instagram and Facebook.  What an awesome community we have here!

If you are looking for guidance in the color coding and daily insight into the reading – please visit me on Instagram and visit the hashtag #GoodMorningGirls – there are lots of women posting their pictures of their color coded Bibles and their reflections on our reading.  We are also discussing our reading daily on the GMG Facebook page.  If you haven’t checked that out yet – do that this week!

If you are new – jump in right where we are and catch up on the weekends.  All are welcome to join anytime – there are no enrollments or sign-ups!

Here is this week’s Bible Reading Plan:
WeekTwo

This week we will look at:

Chapter 6: Jesus is rejected at Nazareth, feeds 5,000, and walks on water.

Chapter 7: Jesus deals with the issue of defilement, the Syrophoenician woman’s faith and heals a deaf man.

Chapter 8:  Jesus feeds 4,000, Jesus heals a man at Bethsaida, and Jesus foretells His death and resurrection.

Chapter 9:  The transfiguration of Christ, a discussion about who is the greatest and how to handle temptations to sin.

Chapter 10: Jesus teaches about divorce, the difficulty of the rich entering heaven, His death and becoming a servant.

Here are this week’s Group Discussion Questions

{If you do not have a group, use these for a personal time of reflection.}:

The Verses of the Day:

I encourage you to choose which verse you’d like to memorize or meditate on.  The printable below includes all 5 verses of the day — for the entire week!  Print and cut them out and put them in the bathroom, kitchen, beside your bed and computer and use them for meditation throughout the week.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

  1. I really want to say thank you sooooo much dearest Courtney and team on Good morning Girls n Women living well. My Name is Marion Arot and I live in Uganda which is my home country. I live in Kampala, which is the capital of uganda. I must admit to yu that I am benefiting massively from the sharing on GMG daily. I found your website by chance as i was going through the net sometime in 2015 around June And i have never remained the same again! I tried to form a GMG group but its not easy having pipo commit to studying the word of God so most often i do it alone and 1 or 2 pipo may ask how it is going…. its sometimes disappointing but i am determined to keep moving with your online sharing as o stidy with yu galz. Thank you once again. I want to write so much but i have to go. May God bless you abundantly. Love…Marion.

    1. God Bless you Marion, I am praying that God will send you sisters in Christ the share the word with! Sending love from America to Uganda 🙂
      ~Katherine

      1. Marion, We are your sisters in Christ and will do this Bible study with you. You are in our hearts and our prayers. Continue in your walk with the Lord. You are an amazing woman of God to share this with us and to continue on your journey though it feels like you are walking it alone. You are not alone. We love you and encourage you sister

  2. I am enjoying reading the book of Mark. I’m trying to catch up with posting my reflections on each chapter on Instagram. I love the color coding idea, but I don’t want to color my Bible. I only highlight the verses that speak to me. BUT I kinda want to buy a new Bible for the sole purpose of coloring along as I study.
