  1. Snowball makes an appearance! I love me some doggies!! I’m spending this quiet day at home catching up on this study!

  2. I just received my Ecclesiastes workbook and want to start the study. Are the previous week’s videos still available? If so, how can I access them? If not, is there another site I can go to in order to view them as I work through this study?

  3. It warms my heart to see all the people who participate here and are eager to follow and serve the Lord; however II Timothy 2:15 calls Christians to rightly divide the word of truth. What that means is if we see error we should speak up, in love. Today in the journal reading there was a wonderful point made; however it was not complete according to the scriptures. I John 1:9 was shared, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” and it was stated, “If you have done this, then you can know that you will live for eternity in the presence of the Lord. “ While confession is a requirement for Salvation, it is not the only step we must take in order to be added to the body of Christ. I believe the Bible is God’s word and the ONLY authority for salvation. In reading the bible (Acts in particularly) it is made clear that it will take more than confession to become a Christian. In fact, in Acts 15:7 we are told we must hear the gospel, Acts 8:12 we must believe in Jesus, Acts 3:19 we must repent of our sins, Acts 8:37 we must confess Christ, Acts 22:16 we must be baptized in water for remission of sins and remain faithful to God according to Acts 2:42. If you have not taken these steps you are not yet a Christian. We must remember that to have God we must do things His way. Listen to your bible and go and read these scriptures for yourselves. If you have not done entirely what God has required, you can right now.
We live in a world where there is a lot of false doctrine which is why each of us must read the bible for ourselves and like the early Christians, we should “examine the scriptures daily to see if what is being said is so” (Acts 17:11). The word cautions, in Proverbs 14:12, that there is a way that seems right that leads to death. Jesus himself stated in Matthew 7:22-23 that “On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” We must remember that there are lots of “good” people who love the Lord, but they too must do what God has said in order to receive the gift of salvation. An example of this can be found in the bible with the story of Cornelius. Cornelius was a devote man but he wasn’t saved until he obeyed the gospel according to Acts 10.
It is my sincere prayer that each of you will review this truth for yourself and make any necessary corrections. I want to thank Courtney and the entire Good Morning Girls/Women Living Well team, together, with the bible; we can all share the Good News. –In Christian Love, Nascent.

    1. Hi Nascent –

Here at WLW we believe that salvation rests solely on the work of God’s grace for us and in us. We are justified by grace through faith alone. Christ’s death is the only payment for sin that God will accept. Additionally, the righteousness of Christ is transferred to us by faith and is the only merit or righteousness that God will accept—we possess the righteousness of Christ in the sight of God (Romans 3:23-26, 4:1-3). All who truly believe in Christ are born again and become the children of God (John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:8-9). All true believers, once saved, are kept by God’s power, not our own, and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38-39).

      Much Love,
      Courtney

      1. Amen. Thank you for speaking truth through the Word of God. I’m a couple weeks back in this study, but I whole-heartedly appreciate the hard work you put into this. He is doing a great work in you, Courtney, and in so many others through this blog. Thank you!

    2. Nascent, what do you do with the thief on the cross? He was not baptized. Luke 23:43 “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
