Good Morning Girls Resources for the Book of James

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here are the resources you need to study the Book of James. #Biblestudy #James #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Welcome to Good Morning Girls!  We are a community of like-minded women here to cheer you on in your study of God’s Word and to keep you accountable and encourage you on weary days.  We are here to serve you! I hope you will commit to reading through the Book of James with us. I know you will be blessed.

The book of James is considered one of the most practical books of the New Testament. Much like the book of Proverbs in the Old Testament, it focuses on wise Christian living transformed by faith.

We begin our study in the book of James on Monday, August 1st!
We will read 1/2 chapter of James a day.
This 2-week study will run from August 1st-August 12th

The James Journal is available now exclusively on Amazon!

James-Girls-SPINE

This is important to NOTE!

The James journal is not like the Ecclesiastes Bible Study.  It is a JOURNAL not an in-depth Bible Study. It is short and it is identical to all of the other GMG Journals.

James-Guys-SPINE

We also have a Good Morning Guys James Journal
for your sons ages 10 and up.

Both journals have an identical interior. My hope is that we will not only get into the Word ourselves but also get our sons and daughters into the Word as well.  Let’s disciple the next generation!

Inside the journals you will find:

*An Introduction to the Book of James
*An explanation of how to use the signature S.O.A.K. method of the GMG’s
*The GMG Coloring Chart
* The Verse of the Day each day
*A Reflection Question for each day
* Blank space for SOAKing each chapter of the Book of James

This companion Journal is NOT required to join us.

  1. Hello All. Wow six weeks went by way to fast. This was an awesome study. I am so excited for August 1st. I wanted to ask a question for those of you participating in the FB Groups. My group experience has not been what I was hoping for. I am looking to join a group (hopefully stay with that group throughout the various studies), that is active; meaning people, including the group leader, actually post, share, and encourage one another. Unfortunately I do not have a local group of friends to study with, so I am hoping to connect with others who truly want to study the word of God and who might even want to develop christian friendships. If there is a group that has that type of environment would you consider adding me? I’d really appreciate it. Please know that I do not want to offend those who are in groups and do not post, as it is not a requirement, some people are shy and we all have busy lives. I just know that it helps me to be accountable and encouraged when I can interact with others. Thanks in advance for all who respond. -In Christian Love, Nascent Morrison

    1. I would be interested in starting a group with you or if you find a group please let me know. I work long hours, so meeting up with people after hours is tough. But I would love to have someone I am accountable to, so I don’t stay behind like last time. LOL
      Thank you
      Brandie Hendricks

      1. Well, I have a discussion board group, so not FaceBook but an online forum. It seems the last session my group just really went MIA. However, t I do keep up with my post daily. So, if you two join there would at least be three of us.

If you are interested just register for a user name at http://womenintheword.boardhost.com/

    2. Ladies I would be interested in a group as well. I know the study starts tomorrow but could I still join. Your Sister in Christ
      Nicole

  2. I’m in!!! Looking forward to some practical applications for living as we grow deeper with the Lord. It’s GREAT to share in a community of “kindred spirits”. THANKS Courtney, Mandy, Rosilind, Bridget & Misty for ALL YOU DO!

  3. Hi there. I took a look in my bible at James and it has already been done. Are we doing it again? I’m sure I can learn more from it. Thanks.

    1. Hi Jane,

The Good Morning Girls read the book of James together 5 years ago in 2011. That was a long time ago and we were not reading through the Bible at the time. So we are doing it again. 🙂

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  4. Is the journal available in Canada?
I notice all your other journals are available on amazon.ca, except the James one! Lol!
    Thanks so much,
    ~ Jen

  5. Thanks for all that you do Cortney. I am a long time follower of your Youtube channel, originally looking for homeschool content, but have since evolved to the bible study community.

Again, thanks for all that you do Courtney.

  6. So exciting! I am joining in this study, before I begin mine for my blog. I just finished Ephesians, and will be studying Sermon on the Mount next. Looking forward to studying James in between the two.

  7. So looking forward to continuing this journey through the Bible. Ive been following along for 14 months now. It has been fantastic!!
Can you please post all the reflection/discussion questions for all of James? I’ll be offline the second week as I volunteer at church camp with my kids.
Thanks for all you do. It’s been a blessing to me and so many others.

    Wendy

  8. When we stand before God at judgement do we give account for our entire life or just after we were saved? Will God turn us out for our past sins? . Thank you for answering my questions

    Sue

    1. Sue,
The Bible assures us of the answer to your question. I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” All of it!

If we stand at the throne of God having carried our own sin and having been dependent on our own merit to save us, then, surely, we will be condemned. When, by His grace, God gives us faith to believe in the perfect, saving work of His Son, the gift of salvation is ours. We need not worry that God’s forgiveness might be withheld. We can rest fully in our peace with God. It does seem impossible to think that He would forgive us, but, on the merit of Jesus Christ, He has!

God can never be pleased with us.

      That is true.

But, He is pleased with His Son. If I desire to be at peace with God, to escape His wrath, to please Him, then my only hope is to be (as the Apostle Paul puts it) in Christ. Jesus’ death on the cross fully appeased God’s wrath. He is faithful and unfailing to His promises. May you find rest for your soul.

Read Psalm 103. It is a psalm of praise for God’s mercy. It will truly encourage your heart.

      1. Dawn, Thank you so much! The preacher at our church had me so confused.
He said at judgement all our sins would be set before us and God would judge us on them, so we would be lost.
Once again thank you very much
        Sue

  9. I loved the previous study and am ready to absorb the book of James. I bought a copy for myself and my daughter who lives about an hour away so we could read this together. Thanks for having a heart for Christ! Suzan

  10. I’m excited to study James with you! I am new to your Bible Studies but love God’s Word and spending time in it. I am looking forward to some great times with Him and all of you this month in James!
    Carol
