Introducing the Book of Judges

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here is all the information you need to study the Book of Judges. #Biblestudy #Judges #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

It’s that time again!  It’s time to announce our next Bible Study – beginning on Monday, October 17th – it’s one chapter a day, through the book of Judges!

This is not going to be an easy read. Parts of this book are very dark. The people of Israel repeatedly fell into a cycle of doing what was right in their own eyes, then calling out to God for help, then God would raise up judges to deliver them, but then they would go astray once again.

There is violence and sin and disobedience scattered throughout this book but there is also grace and mercy and the mighty hand of God’s deliverance, laid out for us all to see.  I hope you will join us!

The Judges Journal is available now exclusively on Amazon!

We also have a Good Morning Guys Judges Journal
for your sons ages 10 and up.

Both journals have an identical interior. My hope is that we will not only get into the Word ourselves but also get our sons and daughters into the Word as well.  Let’s disciple the next generation!

Inside the journals you will find:

*An Introduction to the Book of Judges
*An explanation of how to use the signature S.O.A.K. method of the GMG’s
*The GMG Coloring Chart
* The Verse of the Day each day
*A Reflection Question for each day
* Blank space for SOAKing each chapter of the Book of Judges

This companion Journal is NOT required to join us.

Invite your sons and daughters!  We have a brand new site for guys ages 10 and up at GoodMorningGuys.org.  Just like us – our children NEED to be in God’s Word daily.  Children over the age of ten are capable of reading a chapter a day and SOAKing what they have read. I encourage you to introduce this method of style to your children.  Teach them how to drink from the living well of God’s word and soak in all the spiritual nourishment they can!

This is a wonderful method that slows us down and helps us soak in every single word.

Here’s what it looks like in my Bible (and some of yours).

Still not sure how this all works? Here is a video explaining it further.

Here are the highlighters, pens and pencils I mentioned in the video:

I use the ESV Inductive Study Bible as my personal study Bible.

  1. Hi Courtney,

I am so inspired by you and all the incredible knowledge you have and ALL the work you’ve put into this amazing style of Bible study! Thank you doesn’t seem adequate. You are truly helping a myriad of people read & understand God’s Word. I have struggled to learn the inductive style of Bible study and to me personally, your SOAK method is so much easier and more significant.

I do have a question. I am not on social media, but I would love to read the encouragement you’re posting on Instagram. Is this information anywhere else for those of us who are not on these venues- if there even is anyone besides me?

    Thank you so much,

    Karrie

    1. Hi Janet,

If you have a “Good Morning Girls” group then use these questions each day for discussion with your group either via email or in a facebook private group. If you do not have a GMG group – I encourage you to start one. If starting one is not something you are able to do at this time or you want to do this on your own instead, then use it for your own personal reflection.

So they can be used for discussion or personal reflection questions.

      Hope that helps,
      Courtney 🙂

  2. Can anyone start their own GMG group? Like can I gather a bunch of girls and get together at my house and use your reflection questions to discuss and the gatherings? I too do not have Social media.

    1. Hi Amanda,

Yes, anyone can start a group! That is wonderful! I pray the Lord blesses the group that He brings together in your home.

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney 🙂

  3. I am SO behind! I had no idea you had finished all of those books! I just started in Joshua. Do I study those on my own ir do you ever start this study over? Thank you for all you do for this group & I LOVE your videos!

    Dawn

    1. Welcome Dawn! I’m so glad you joined us for the book of Joshua. I am blogging through the entire Bible, so it will be a long while before I’m complete. So I encourage you on the weekends or on breaks between studies to go back and cover some of the books you may have missed.

      Thanks for the encouragement,
      Courtney 🙂
