My friend Janelle from Comfy In the Kitchen - showed her readers how she “cooks” her hair with hot rollers (I LOVE hot rollers!) and her video ended up featured on Conair’s Facebook page – fun! Check out her lovely locks and it only takes 3 minutes to put in (10 minutes to cook :) ) - amazing!

Vlog ~ An Object Lesson & Prayer For Our Children

Ezekial 11:19 & 20 says:

“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.”

I made this video this past summer but never posted it…but it goes with the Gentleness Challenge. Often times our frustrations with our children come because we are tired, exhausted and irritable…but sometimes it is because they have hard hearts and they need a mama who is willing to get on her knees and plead in her child’s behalf before the throne of God.  Ezekial 11:19,20 is my prayer.

(If you can’t see this video click here.)

Let’s pray that God gives our children undivided hearts.  That they would be born again with God’s Spirit within them and that their hearts would not be hardened by sin but soft and tender.  Pray that they would be careful to keep God’s laws and follow hard after Jesus!

Day 6 – My Advice to a New Bride & Wedding Pictures from our Weekend

This weekend God blessed me with a new sister-in-law!

My husband’s brother got married to a woman I love.  Together they make a blended family of 8.

I have not blogged much about my in-laws because we do not see them very often.  But I was so glad to get this picture of 3 generations.  This is my mother-in-law.

The kids had a lot of  fun getting their caricatures done by Kari!

They do things just a little bit differently in my husband’s family…for example…the way they WALK down the aisle at a wedding…warning – the music is over the top loud – turn your speakers down before you hit play. (My husband is the one in the dark sunglasses).

The reception was gorgeous!

The photo booth turned into a kissing booth! lol!

And going to a wedding (predictably! lol!) inspired me to make a video!  Here’s my advice to a new bride.
