My Fitness Instructor

If the healthy living posts this week have struck a chord with you – then I want to recommend one final resource to you – my fitness instructor!

During the first year of Women Living Well, I featured a personal friend of mine regularly. She is my fitness instructor named Clare. Clare was a friend of mine for a few years before I attended her first fitness class. I was shocked the evening after her first class – I felt like I had been hit by a semi-truck…I was SO sore – I could not move!!!

My respect for her and her ability to talk through high cardio intensity lol! and her physical strength has nothing but grown since then. At 32 weeks pregnant with her second child, she was still leading her classes. Honestly, by about 12 weeks, I would have used the excuse that I was pregnant to bow out of all challenging workout routines – but not Clare! I have officially labeled her the “bionic woman”.

Clare is not only physically fit but spiritually this girl blows me away. She is kind, always ready to help anyone who asks, a great listener, wise, hungry for God’s truth, and not shy in sharing her faith.

For over 2 years I have told her, “you must start a blog“. This girl is filled with amazing fun facts mixed with a spiritual maturity that is contagious! I am so excited to share her brand new blog that just launched late last night!!! In the early stages of her choosing her name and the other details, I invited Clare and Janelle to my home for bloggy talk – here’s some pics…

Since that night, she has worked diligently to build an on-line ministry to reach ladies who need encouragement from the inside out.

I invite you to visit her and give her a warm welcome here!

Clare – I feel like a big sister who is so proud of her little sister today!!!

  3. Oh, YAY! I wondered whatever happened to Clare, when you got a "facelift" to your blog, Courtney, the message board, etc. to the fitness section (that Clare maintained) disappeared. (Although I realize that God was directing you in a different direction–it's tough to address ALL areas of our lives!) It was SO helpful to have that accountability for exercise last winter when you and Clare gave us that 12 week challenge! So excited for this new blog. Way to go Clare and Courtney! And Praises to God for each one of your specialized giftings!
