WLW Wednesday Link-Up Party and My Top 5

1.  The video above came from a new blog I just discovered ~ ModelingChrist.com  I love Rachel’s thoughts on modesty and hope you will take 3 minutes to watch her video. She just came out with a new book titled “Fashioned by Faith“.

2.  This Sally Clarkson post was a favorite this week ~ If You Want Your Child To Love God, Don’t Follow the Rules

3. I found this free printable on Nancy Leigh Demoss’s site titled: 31 Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Chidlren

4. This goes along with next week’s Media Monday’s theme on Parenting and Media.  Teaching Children to Use Computers, Internet and TV Wisely – by Doorposts.

5.While reading through the Media Mondays Link-Ups I found this quote on Lori Alexander’s Blog that I loved:

“It astonishes me how many Christians watch the same banal, empty, silly, trivial, titillating, suggestive, immodest TV shows that most unbelievers watch – and then wonder why their spiritual lives are weak and their worship experience is shallow with no intensity. If you really want to hear the Word of God the way He means to be heard in truth and joy and power, turn off the television on Saturday night and read something true and great and beautiful and pure and honorable and excellent and worthy of praise (see Philippians 4:8). Then watch your heart unshrivel and begin to hunger for the Word of God.” ~ John Piper

  1. Thank you for helping to inspire me to be still and listen after prayers. I was able to finally find my voice and begin to be so much more proud and loud about my love of my faith and the person I am inside and want people to know. I hope if you have time you will stop by and check out my site as I have followed your blog silently and finally decided to speak up! god Bless and have a wonderful day.

  2. This is right up my alley. I am so glad you posted it. It’s easy to compromise modesty when you’re in the fashion industry, but this is such a fantastic reminder why we stand and in what we stand for. It’s challenging me to take a more un-compromised stand, very cool. clothedwithlilies.blogspot.com

  3. Thank you so much for this post and the links! My ministry also is an advocate for modesty, self confidence and building the faith of young women. My new tween devotional- Beautiful in His eyes- has a special chapter on modesty and dressing. I have you site marked so I can visit very often and thanks again for the post today.

    God Bless!

  4. Thanks for letting us link up.! I’m hoping to make some new friends and find some helpful blogs to follow. I do enjoy yours! I checked out Fashioned by Faith. Looks like a good book! I’m recommending it to my preacher-hubby to pass on the the lady who works with our teen girls (though we all need it – girls, teens and adults)!
