My 4th of July wreathe is up!
The annual making of the Dirt Cake is done ā Lexi chopped all the oreos for me ā the kitchen is a mess but itās done š .
The slip and slide is ready!
Ā
In the morning, Iāll be spray painting a twister board like this forĀ all the cousins (and maybe some adults too!)Ā to play a HUGE game of twister on.
Ā
Soon Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents will stream through the door! And the fun will begin.Ā The night will end with viewing fireworks that display over a local lake from our backyard!Ā LOVE that!Ā
If it rains and itās cancelled ā thatās okay ā we already saw fireworks this past Saturday at a Carnival ā hereās a few pics from the carnival:

Oh it seems like it will be a blast tomorrow for you! We are far from family so I am feeling blessed that we have found a few friends to spend the holiday with and at the beach no less! Thanks so much for the link up, it is such a great idea! Iāve already stopped by a few listed and you are right, there are many great bloggers that link up! Iām looking forward to reading and connecting with other fellow christian bloggers! Happy 4th! <3
Hi Courtney!
My name is Emily, Iām 16, and I just came to the Lord last summer It was an amazing experience! After months, if not years, of being wishy-washy and not really sure if religion was right for me, and thinking and talking to friends about faith and readingā¦Just as I was sticking my toes into the waters, Jesus pushed me in and said āI got you now! Itās gonna be okay, because I love you and I made you and I will always love you and Iām so glad you came back to me!ā
Fast forward to last week, when I ran across one of your videos and fell in love with your enthusiasm and spirit. I found wlw tonight, and found the proverbs 31 videos. Iām only 16, and at first thought āWhat am I doing here? This is aimed towards women at least fifteen years older than meā¦people my parentsā age!ā
But Iām beginning to realize that even though Iām still in high school I CAN be that Proverbs 31 woman and I need to be. I honestly think these videos and this train of thought that Iāve been working through is God knocking on my door and saying āHey! You know how youāve been failing tests, and anxious all the time, and panicked you wonāt have a future? This is how weāre gonna fix it.ā Iāve struggled a lot with guilt, anxiety and sadness for the last 9-12 months, and I think of this verse is a hope, a goal, and a light at the end of the tunnel. (Donāt worry, those feelings have been among some happy times too!)
I just finished all of it posted so far, and Iām crying because I realize what Angela said is trueāthis woman has confidence and hope for a bright future (things I both lack) not because of whether sheās a sinner or a saint, but because God loves her for who she is. That really, really speaks to me.
So thank you both SO much for these videos and for indirectly leading me to see all of this. If you have any other ideas of how I can apply Proverbs 31 or any of Godās wisdom to my life as a teen Iād love to hear it. Sorry Iāve rambled so much. Hope you and your family had a great 4th!
God bless!
~Emily
This post I just wrote is very short, but I think powerful enough to sum up what I need to say: http://emmyofrel.tumblr.com/post/26474854585/see-the-half-finished-guitar-look-at-it-its-just Thanks! š
I love your story and can you believe how lucky we are to be a part of this ministry??!!
One thing that I must say is that you are so lucky you have this opportunity to learn about the Proverbs 31 women before you enter into marriage because I am learning after the fact. After being married for 10 years and with four small kiddos !!!
What a blessing keep sharing your heart!!
Blessings to you!
I am loving the spray paint twister! š Thank you for letting us share our posts each wed! God Bless and Happy 4th of July!
So happy to link up again today. Thanks so much for hosting. As a 1st-time mama, Iām really excited to share my baby girlās birth story today.
Didnāt your daughter knock some teeth out a while back?! They look beautifully perfect!! Amazing!
Yes ā she did knock them out ā the top picture and the dirt cake picture are both from last year ā Iāll take new ones tonight š You might be able to see in the carnival pics that she is missing one tooth still and one came in š
Awesome 4th of July pictures! Enjoy the moments of this day!!
Happy 4th July.
Iām away now to check out the links. Didnāt have time before work this am but I have a spare 30 mins or so š
Courtney, I love the wreath on your front door. What is it made out of? Flowers? Can you post a close-up of the wreath? Hapy 4th of July everyone! God bless this wonderful country we have been blessed to live in.
I donāt have a close up picture but itās made of shiny tinsel ā I got it at Pacatanās ā I love how it looks like a firework ā all shiny when the sun is on it š
Thank you for being obedient to our Father. Lives are changed when we respond to His calling. I was talking with my husband about your testimonyā¦ or what I know of itā¦ and I am encouraged to pursue Godās best and not settle for less. Have a great 4th.
āNicole Howes
