10 Things I’m Thankful For & WLWW Link-up!

I could make a list of 100 things I’m thankful for but I don’t want to bore you – so here’s my top 10.
1. God’s Word – the Bible.
Daily I come to this living well, to drink a tall glass of living water and it is from this Living Well that Women Living Well was born.

2. My Husband – our fearless leader.

3. Two beautiful gifts I get to homeschool!

4. A godly heritage. (my dad, mom and grandmother.)

5. Sisters who challenge and inspire me (even when I didn’t get the “purple and black” memo for Easter lol!)

.
My sister’s husbands who love the Lord and love our children.

6. Cousins who live close by and who my children can look up to as role models.
Even if 2 of the more ‘mature’ cousins steal my camera in the middle of a family get together and take 20 photos of themselves in my bathroom! lol!
{Gotcha guys – I bet you didn’t think these pics would make the ‘blog’ hehe!}
7.  Godly friends
And my real life Good Morning Girls group that emails each other everyday –
L to R: Kimmy, Janelle (ComfyInTheKitchen), Kara, Me,
Aimee – who coined the phrase “Walk with the King“, Kristy, and Kelly.

 And my real life friend and one of my favorite bloggers – Clare – Miss Peak 313 Fitness – {who currently has a 21 Day Holiday Challenge beginning – check it out!}
8. An abundance of laundry that says we have an abundance of clothes.
9. Dirty dishes that say our tummies are full.
10. Crumbs on the floor as evidence of our daily bread God has provided.

And if I could take a picture of all of you – I’d put it right here! I am SO thankful for all of my on-line friends and sisters in Christ. You, dear readers, have changed my life. I give thanks to God for all of you.

Have a FANTASTIC Turkey Day!

Walk with the King!

  1. Thank you for sharing your beautiful list of things you’re grateful for! And thank you for setting up this link-up so we could share our lives and journey of faith through blogging.

  2. What a fun post! I love all the pictures, what a beautiful family you have. I am also glad to see the laundry and dirty dishes and to know that I’m not the ONLY one who takes those kinds of pictures, lol! (I took pictures of burnt rolls for tomorrow’s blog post, lol!) Thanks for hosting!

  3. Thanks for sharing, Courtney. The pictures were a great touch. In particular, I like the last few things you mentioned being thankful for. I’ve never looked at loads of laundry, piles of dishes and crumbs like that before! Thanks for the help. 🙂

  4. I loved this post! I found myself chuckling and smiling through every item. What wonderful blessings to have a family who loves God (and lives close by! I live overseas, so my family is quite far, but near at heart), and I loved how you showed that cleaning and laundering should be seen as blessings!
And I loved your nephews and their picture prank – the spice of life! Happy Thanksgiving.

By the way, I’m not from the US, but I do admire the Thanksgiving holiday and would happily participate if I lived in the States. I don’t understand how other countries have already adopted Halloween, but not Thanksgiving. If you’re going to adopt something from another culture/ country, adopt the good stuff, hey!

  5. This was a wonderful post! I loved the way you portrayed each item to be thankful for in such simple yet profound terms… I am thankful for inspiring women of God such as yourself. I know that you are not perfect, but you have been such a blessing to me, and clearly to so many others!

Keep on keeping on, for the Glory of our Lord!

  6. Thank you for this post – it so beautifully done with pictures! Even though we don’t celebrate thanksgiving as a holiday (being British!!) I am really learning to be truly thankful each and every day. Have a wonderful holiday!

  7. As always I loved your blog-always good to be reminded that sometimes the jobs that we wish we did not have to do are really because we are blessed and have so much-similar sentiment to the Discontent Americans blog-that really hit home with me as we are living in the Philippines right now with husband’s job assignment and have seen so many who have SO much less than what we take for granted. Also had a question about one of your pictures-with your friend Clare, where did you get your adorable short sleeved blue jean jacket/shirt?
    Thanks,
    Susan

  8. What a great way to look at the dishes and the laundry! From a person who doesn’t own a dishwasher, your post as opened my eyes to see the dirty dishes as a blessing. Thank you Courtney!

  9. Great post! We always think of the usual, spouse, family and friend. You have given a whole new outlook on laundy and crumbs on the floor. God bless you and your family!

  15. Happy Thanksgiving Courtney & Family! 🙂
I’m thankful that I came across your blog at His appointed time, as you’re a real blessing. God’s light shines from you, in everything you say and do. You’re a good example, a vessel for His honor. I’m also thankful for the links to other special ladies you give us, as I’ve learnt much. Even from your favorite author list, I’ve only now discovered Elizabeth Elliott (was I under a rock before?), so thank you!
May you continue to shine for His glory.
    Blessings!

  16. I’m so thankful for a multitude of things – in this day and time, most all of us have so much to be thankful for, and often don’t even realize it. I love the way you took the everyday (the laundry, the dishes, the crumbs) and showed us how we have more than we need, in most cases! Thank you for taking you time to post for all of us. I am thankful for YOU, too, Courtney!

  17. This is a beautiful list! We all have so much to be grateful for this season and throughout the year. It’s lovely to share with others what we are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!
