Janelle from Comfy in the Kitchen is back with the perfect party punch!

Janelle writes:

There is something about “party punch” that makes me happy…is it the foaming sherbet floating on top? Is it the beautiful pastel color? Is it the sweet and tangy flavor? Perhaps it is a mix of all three descriptions that make party punch such a crowd pleaser. This recipe is simple….you will remember it always..and I can bet you’ll make it often! Enjoy, my sweet friends…

(You can use whatever color sherbet you like depending on the festivities- this was my little girl’s 2nd birthday- Orange would work beautifully for Thanksgiving- Lime for Christmas, etc)

  1. This is a recipe similar to what my family has used for numerous bridal and baby showers. Instead of Sunny Delight, we use Hawaiian Punch. We’ve also changed things up and made an orange/peach punch with peach soda, orange sherbert and orange Hawaiian punch. It’s really simple to make. We don’t use ice though in our recipe. Usually the punch and soda are cold and the frozen punch helps keep things cool.

  2. I am wondering how I can alter this recipe so that we can use it in our home. We have a son that reacts to things with red dye. So, anything orange or red, and even some sodas that have the red dye in it, he cannot drink. I wonder if, instead of punch if I could use a fruit juice? He is okay with orange juice. Or the V8 Fusion drinks… Hmmm…. Anyone tried this recipe with something different than a red/orange drink?

  3. If you freeze some of the punch or soft drink as ice cubes or ice ring and use them in place of ice it keeps your punch from getting watered down

  4. you can also freeze the fruit punch or orange juice in the jello ring to prevent the punch from getting watered down as the ice thaws. it also adds a little extra flavor. i will be trying this recipe this summer for a church function!!

  5. OH MY GOSH I am having a surprise graduation party for my 7 year old tomorrow I am SO DOING this I LOVE YOU! THANK YOU!

  6. Oh for the dye lady. There’s pineapple sherbert, and sprite or 7 up or whatever. Would it taste good with white cranberry juice??? OH MAN is that juice good! Can you tell that I am super excited about this post lol.

  7. Yes, I would like to know this too: What size bottle of fruit punch and what size container of sherbet? Thanks.

  8. The great thing about punch is it can be altered to your taste of 1 part Juice to 2 parts pop or ginger ale and for the adults who want to have an adult party you can add your choice of alcohol to your punch. I always freeze the juice to prevent the punch from becoming watered down, at halloween freeze your juice in a clean powder free nitrile glove (I am allergic to latex). Give an extra creepy look to the punch.

    I hope this helps.

  9. Used the recipe for our post Christmas (aka end of year) party with neighbors. It was a hit! And making this for Super Bowl #49 party by request.
