Sweet Janelle from Comfy in the Kitchen has the perfect easy Peanut Butter Fudge recipe for us! Hooray!

Janelle writes:

I found it! The PERFECT fudge!!!! It’s EASY, has only 4 ingredients, doesn’t require constant stirring…or a candy thermometer…. or even a stove! That’s right ladies!!! It’s rich, creamy and delicious too. My official “go to” fudge is made in the microwave? Why yes….it is.

{I know some of you prefer not to use microwaves, that’s ok!}

Microwave butter and peanut butter in a medium bowl for 2 mins.

Stir- it’s melted at this point but put it back into the microwave for 2 more mins- this gives it a “brown butter” taste and gets it to the right temperature.

Add in vanilla and powdered sugar and stir well- fudge will have a chalky texture.

Place parchment paper into an 8×8 dish and -butter the parchment paper.

Pour fudge into pan.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set and firm. Cut into squares.

Mmmm…..delicious and SO EASY!

I made these for gifts…I added some chopped Reese’s PB cups to the top. The little dishes came from Michael’s craft store- $1 a piece! Adorable!

I wrapped the tops like so…

Placed them into matching plastic bags…they were also $1 for 20.

Wrapped them up with a bow and a plastic butter knife…

Ready to give!

This recipe sure did give me fudge making confidence…I’ve done it too ladies, made fudge that didn’t quite set. It happens! But this recipe is mistake proof- follow the instructions and you will get perfect fudge every time.

  2. Love this easy recipe for a gift! Thank you so much, Janelle. Do you think you could melt chocolate chips and pour over the top?

  3. Wow, this looks YUMMY, but, it so happens, I am one of those NO microwave girls, EVEN when it comes to candy. You said it was ok, leading me to think you would provide optional instructions? Maybe I misunderstood that. If you have those, you would thrill my pounding heart by posting the tweaks to take–otherwise, I understand. Thank you for all the helpful tips on making the finished product gift-able! Great post!

  4. Hey there. How many cups would 2 sticks of butter be? Also can you give me a different measurement for the one pound of sugar please?

    1. 2 sticks of butter would equal 1 cup (each stick is 1/2 cup). A pound of powdered/confectioner’s sugar is 3 3/4 cups. Hope this helps!

  5. Quick question…. Did you use a different recipe (amounts) for making the gift pans or did you just cut the fudge and place it in the cute pans from Michael’s? I’m asking because the above recipe states to place in a 8 x 8 pan. Thanks for such a quick recipe!

  6. I added a cup of chocolate chips and it came out great! I’m going to be sharing your link on my Facebook page (Tammy Mixon Wright) & my blog at thewrightroute.blogspot.com
Thank you for sharing this! It is yummy!!! 🙂

  7. does this have to be with butter or can you use margarine as my grandson can not have butter and looks easy enough that even I can make it LOL

  8. Fatty (the unhealthy fat) and loaded with sugar (especially if non-natural peanut butter is used and the Reese’s Cups are used). No thank you.

    1. Why people feel the need to pass on their “purist” judgement I will never understand. A wise little bunny named Thumper once said, “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.”

      1. Annette I agree. “Live and Let Live”. Be less concerned w/ editing the actions of others as you continue to edit your own.
I personally am grateful that this post gives a quit option to a sweet treat.

    2. Jane, thanks for your concerns, but if you have not have something nice to say than please don’t say anything at all.

  9. For this ‘by the book’ kinda gal, how long would it take to do this on the stove? Thanks for your help. Looks great!

  10. I just made these for the first time for neighbor Christmas gifts. I can’t wait to give them today. Thank you so much for all of your recipes. They have blessed me. Have a very Merry Christmas!

  11. Made this recipe last night and it came out perfect! I am completely amazed and impressed that a microwave recipe turned out so perfect. I used less than a lb of powdered sugar (400g) and the consistency was perfect so if any of ya’ll want to be easy on the sugar. 😛

  12. I just made this, when I went to put it in the pan I had various pools of melted butter on top, followed the recipe. Did not turn out. Won’t be making this again, a waste of time & money 🙁

  13. this recipe is very easy and taste great.my stepmom thought it was the old-fashion recipe.thanks and i will be sure to pass on. one question does it matter if butter salted or not?
