Good Morning Girls Resources {Exodus 11-15}

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here is the information you need for the Book of Exodus. #Biblestudy #exodus #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

It’s time to begin Week 3 in Exodus!  Hooray!

This is when the going gets tough and the tough get going.

It’s always exciting at the start of a new year to begin a fresh Bible study.  With excitement we open God’s Word and He speaks and it is so very good.  But  then real life and busy schedules can begin to crowd out the excitement we once had.  This is when discipline and not giving up – even if you are behind – begins.

If you are in a GMG group – do not stop checking in with your group.  They want to hear from you – even if you weren’t able to read that day’s reading – chime in and let them know you are behind. They will pray for you, cheer for you and keep you accountable…this is why we have the groups.  Because together we are stronger than when we are alone. 😉

Are you new here?  All are welcome to join us anytime – so if you have not begun Exodus – no worries – just jump on in and try to catch up on the weekends!

Every morning at 7:45am(EST) on the Good Morning Girls Facebook Page we discuss the Bible reading for the day – don’t miss out! The fellowship has been awesome!

Also, use the hashtag #GoodMorningGirls on Twitter and Instagram to find our community through out the week.

This week’s Monday Meditation {and Memorization}

Print the passage and put a copy by your computer, in your kitchen, in your bathroom, your purse, your pocket, in your car, beside your bed or anywhere else you spend time.  Meditate and SOAK in the word of God day and night!

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

Here is the complete passage we will be meditating on during our 8 weeks in Exodus:

Memory Work Psalm 77- 11-20

 This week’s Meditation Verses:

Memory Work Psalm 7715

Print just 1 copy (pictured above) or print 6 copies (pictured below)
of the same verse so you can put it in different places for review.

  1. I love the program an i am try to catch up bit i love bible journalimg just need a little more understanding about the journal and the e books thanks.

  2. Right now I’m just reading along with the readings for the day… I haven’t been able to start using the color coding yet but hopefully will get to soon… even though I didn’t join a group I feel that I am being held accountable for keeping up with my reading… if something comes up that I miss a day I make sure to catch up as soon as I can… I like have a “schedule” of reading so that I CAN make myself get into the habit of reading God’s word for more than a sentence or two a day.

    1. Wonderful! I’m so glad you are keeping up with the reading Ronda. Do not feel any pressure to do the extras (color coding or SOAKing). Those are just tools to help us along if we need them. The goal is just getting into God’s word daily.

      Keep it up!!
      Courtney 🙂

  3. Yay! The 3rd week! I miss reading Exodus on Sunday and Monday (I’m in Australia so our days are a bit ahead of yours). I’ve been still reading my Bible on those two days (just reading Psalms and I’ve also been reading 1 Peter as well), but I might have to start journalling them because I’m loving the in depth study of Exodus. I wake up extra early (5:30am!) so I get a good half hour of quiet time before my children start to wake up and my day begins fully. It’s the best way to start the day.

Thankyou for all the work you do running these studies for us. I’m so grateful.

  4. I’m confused about something. I follow women living well and good morning girls on my blog reader, feedly. All of the sudden, the love god greatly posts are showing up in my good morning girls feed. last week, your posts were showing up in that feed. make sense? i thought good morning girls was your site and all of that had been resolved?

    1. I was just made aware that this is happening on BlogLovin’ but this is happening on Feedly as well?

I own Good Morning Girls and no one else’s blog should come through my feed. I wonder what changed to cause this to start happening? I will look into this and try to correct it by contacting their support.

Thank you for making me aware – I appreciate it.

      Love,
      Courtney

  5. Thanks to all for serving the Lord by setting up this study…. it is helping me to reestablish a regular Bible time. Question: I would love to be able to print out the discussion questions each week. Is there any they could be put into printable format? Or suggestions for how to do that?

  6. I am loving this program and the journey. I have read Exodus a few times before but I am learning so much more this time through. I like the way we are studying His word and love the messages, lessons and seeing His love. I always saw anger before, this time, I am seeing love. God is good. All the time!

  7. Hello, I just woke up in Sydney Australia and decided I needed help with my morning bible study and came across you on the web. I have read through your page and I am very excited to get started. Thank you for helping me with direction on my walk with Christ.

  8. Hi, enjoying the study so far! Just wondering as someone else already commented, would it be possible to have a printable version of the study questions ahead of time? Thanks!

  9. BTW, I don’t see today’s discussion question, Exodus 12, above…am I missing it somewhere? It is pretty early for me, so maybe the brain is just not fully engaged yet… 🙂

    1. Hi Paula – I’ll try to create a printable of the discussion questions for next week and the Exodus 12 question is on the right – in the top row of questions.

      🙂
      Courtney

  10. How can I join a group? Is it too late? I am following on fb and the blog but would love to join a group. Thanks!

    1. Jenna, I would really like to be in a small group (as in like 4-6 ladies) as well. If there is not a way to join a group right now, as I saw that the forums are closed, maybe you and I can be a “group”?

  11. I’m sorry… I’m feeling really stupid. I’m new to this and the color key is really confusing me as I read. I can’t seem to understand what to highlight. If I were to highlight what I thought was correct I would probably highlight almost everything purple:(. I’m really confused. I copied a few off of instagram and the yellow specifically confuses me more than anything.. especially highlighting “doctrine”.. if someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. I really am struggling and feeling more stupid by the minute as I read the bible. 🙁 🙁 🙁

    1. KAnn,

Do not feel badly at all – there is no right or wrong way to do this. You go with your gut and if the entire thing is purple – because God is speaking…then make it purple. That is how you see it. If God is speaking and showing his mighty power or miracles – then perhaps make it yellow…if God is speaking and giving instructions maybe make it blue. If God is speaking and He is making a promise or covenant – then it could be orange.

So you can make it all purple OR blue or orange or…whatever color makes sense to you because it’s not about the color but about you slowing down and reading the passage closely. It’s just a tool.

So don’t be too hard on yourself and if it makes you feel any better – I tend to use multiple colors on some verses – I’ll color it all in yellow and then outline that section in purple. Or if God is giving Moses specific commands – I make it blue for instructions but then outline it in purple because God was speaking.

      Hope this helps.
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  12. Hello, I enjoyed this weeks lessons, although I’m just starting them.
I have a ? about how to get the previous two weeks lessons. I’d like to copy them down.
    Thank you
    Angela Lyons

  13. Hello, I just found your Exodus bible study, so I’m a little behind but I am enjoying them.
I have 2 questions about how to get the previous study questions to print out from all the lessons. And are all the previous lessons archived in an Exodus file?

Thank you so much for all you do.

    Karen

  14. I’m just joining and would like to know, should i start at this point with the group? or Should I start from Exodus 1?

    1. Welcome Wendy! I would start right where we are at and use your weekends to catch up your reading of the first half. We begin the book of Matthew on March 2nd. So you’ll get a clean slate then. 😉

So glad you are joining us!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  15. Hi Courtney,
I am just joining the group, any suggestions on starting out?
I’m currently reading your book “Women Living Well” and doing the study along with it.
Looking forward to a Bible study.
    Thank you,
    Michele
