Good Morning Girls Resources {Exodus 26-30}

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here is the information you need for the Book of Exodus. #Biblestudy #exodus #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Welcome back to week 6 in the book of Exodus!

Are you wondering what’s next?

It’s the Book of Matthew!

It lines up perfectly for us to be reading about Christ – headed to the cross – on Good Friday.

{I’ll post more details soon but here’s a few.  There will be no break between our study in Exodus and Matthew – we will finish Exodus on Friday, February 27th and begin Matthew on Monday, March 2nd.  We will finish Matthew on April 8th and then take a spring break.}

This week’s reading is in Exodus 26-30. We’ll be looking at the building of the tabernacle. It is not easy reading.  It is detailed and finding application will not be easy and that is OKAY!  Remember, we are learning so much about our God as we watch Him give instructions, for how He is to be worshipped.

These two verses continue to come to mind as we study God’s word:

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” ~ Isaiah 55:9

 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

This week’s Monday Meditation {or Memorization}

Print the passage and put a copy by your computer, in your kitchen, in your bathroom, your purse, your pocket, in your car, beside your bed or anywhere else you spend time.  Meditate and SOAK in the word of God day and night!

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

Here is the complete passage we will be meditating on during our 8 weeks in Exodus:

  1. These “hard” chapters are WONDERFUL for those of us who have ever wondered if or why the great God of the universe would bother paying attention to our little details of day to day living. Well, He does!

    He can view and orchestrate events that will have profound effects years and years into the future, and still care about the color of thread to use on His tabernacle! If you feel like you are being bored to tears reading through this section, just remember that God knows and cares about EVERY detail of EVERY person who has ever been (or will be) born. He doesn’t struggle with that, it really matters to Him. YOU matter to him.

    So read these chapters with joy, reverence, and interest because all the details were so very important to God that He had them recorded in His book for all of us to read. They matter to Him, so they should matter to us as well, yes?

    1. I love this Emmie! Thank you for sharing. I was bored reading all the little details but I look at it anew after reading your comments.

  2. I’m really enjoying this study. I find that I get a lot out of it using the SOAP(K) method. It helps me stay focused. I haven’t been highlighting in my Bible because I’ve already used a yellow highlighter in my Bible. Courtney, do you use a different Bible for church than for your daily study? I just don’t want it to be confusing when I look back over it.

    Thanks and keep up the good work. You’re a blessing.

  3. How g will spring break be? I’d like to keep in the word, what book were you guys in before Exodus? I didn’t start following this until you began the book of Exodus. Maybe I could use that time to go backward and catch up some. Thanks!

    1. Hi Erin,

      The break will be short – it will be 1 1/2 weeks long. So we will break on Wednesday, April 8th and begin back on Monday, April 20th.

      So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney
