Chop fresh garlic – it’s gotta be fresh for this recipe {I know, I know- I don’t like the smell of it on my hands for days either…. but it’s worth it for this one}.

chicken 3

In a small/medium pan add olive oil and sauté garlic on medium heat until tender. Be very careful with your stovetop setting-garlic can burn quickly!

chicken 4

Add brown sugar to the olive oil and garlic- stir until it makes a paste.

Place thawed chicken breasts in a 9×13 pan, cover with paste and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake uncovered at 400 for approximately 20 mins. I placed mine on a cookie sheet, but when I make this again, I’ll use a 9×13.

*I am a huge fan of smaller, organic chicken breasts. If your chicken is larger than shown below, make sure to pound it. This will help it cook evenly!

  4. I made this on Sunday and I loved it. I’ll use less garlic the next time, it didn’t affect the taste but I’m not a fan of the after effects of garlic.
