The Verses of the Day:

This printable includes all 3 “Verses of the Day” — for the entire week.  Print and cut them out and put them in the bathroom, kitchen, beside your bed and computer and use them for meditation (or memorization of your favorite) throughout the week.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

  1. Hi Courtney! My name is Lauren Sledge and I am a fellow Christian blogger. I LOVE reading your posts –especially this last study of Acts. My blog has a very similar idea as yours, but I am just getting started. I would love to have your support of my blog–even if it is just your advise 🙂 Here is my site

    ineveryfacet.wordpress.com

Hope to hear from you soon!

    1. I just visited your blog Lauren – what a wonderful start!! It looks great and has great writing!!!

Keep on going and shining! It’s wonderful to have another faithful voice on-line.
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  2. Hi!!!!!

Would it be a download version of the numbers book??

    Please and thanks!
P.s. I love this bible study and I love your book!!

    1. Hi Regina – I’m so glad you are joining us!!!

The Numbers Journal available on Amazon includes: An introduction and background to the book of Numbers, the daily reflection question, the Verse of the Day, the Coloring Chart, an explanation of the SOAK Method and blank pages for journaling daily. Here’s the link to this journal: http://amzn.to/1Lf6yzO

There will be a free printable short version of the Numbers Journal available on Friday here at the blog. This is not the same as the Amazon Journal – this eJournal has been created for low-cost printing on a home printer and does not include the Introduction to Acts, Verses of the Day or Reflection questions.

      Hope that helps!
      Courtney

  3. Just curious as to why you choose Numbers next instead of Deuteronomy? I know there’s not right or wrong, just curious.

      1. Lol!!! No problem Kayla – I love hearing you are pregnant – congratulations!!!

We’re doing them in order so Deuteronomy will come in the new year. 🙂

        Lots of Love,
        Courtney

  4. Well, this is a bit off-topic but I just watched God’s Not Dead last night. WOW! What a great movie with a wonderful testimony about telling people about Jesus! Well I guess that KIND of has to do with The Book of Acts. 😉 And the writers of that movie have one opening on Friday starring Sean Astin of The Lord of the Rings trilogy/Rudy fame called Woodland…it’s a true story about a high school football team. I just might have to take my son to see it on Friday for a Mother/Son date 🙂

What I was excited about though was that I KNEW the answers to a couple of questions posed in the movie….from being a follower of your Blog Courtney and the teachings of Ray Comfort. I thought hey, I know more about Jesus/God, etc than I thought I did and that made me happy!!!

As not to spoil it for anyone, I finished watching God’s Not Dead at around 12:30am. I don’t think anyone would’ve appreciated me very much if I’d have done what they asked you to do at the end of the movie at 12:30am. LOL

  5. I was in a Bible study recently where the title of the study for the day was acts chapter 29, 30, 31…. I was confused until I realized that what the teacher was saying was we are the continuation of the book of Acts and we are to write our own acts on the pages of our lives. We make our own mark on the world in the lives of those around us by sharing His love, His Spirit, and His healing power. Just wanted to share that thought as we finish up the recorded book of Acts.

    1. Donna,

I LOVE this- yes! We follow in the footsteps of those who came before us in Acts – a continuation of the church and the spreading of the gospel!

Thank you for sharing this and for joining us for this study!
      Courtney

  6. I feel like what I’ve taken from Acts is that no matter where you come from, you can always turn your life around and use that to spread God’s word. I’ve felt like because of my past, I’m not a good example of what Christianity can be and so I’ve been scared to share my faith. But Acts shows that the fear I feel isn’t necessary. If anything, my past makes God’s power more visible! He has changed me so much and it’s time I let everyone know 🙂

    1. Lara – amen – beautiful takeaway!

God’s power is displayed in your testimony – share it – the world needs to hear it!

      Keep shining,
      Courtney

  7. This book has been absolutely impactful regarding trusting God even in those tough times. I have actually been going through a tough time lately and I felt every emotion I could imagine but I leaned more on God and he blessed me to find WLW/GMG. I have my blog Fruitful Nurturing and I have to admit it has been hard to write. Having feelings of not being worthy in this season because of my occasional doubt and fears. But this study has helped me to pray more and trust more, and has helped me to be able to still provide helpful material to my followers. I know that right now “I am going through” and I will not stay in this place. But it has helped me to be more disciplined using the SOAK method. Thank you for everything you do, you are such a blessing! <3 <3 <– Those are supposed to be hearts! 🙂

    1. Renee – thank you so much for sharing this. I’m sorry you are have been struggling lately and am so glad to hear how studying Acts has blessed you.

      Thanks for the hearts. <3

      🙂 Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  8. Hi Courtney,

This has been a great study! I’d like to support you by buying a book this time, but I don’t see it on the Amazon Canada site. The Acts journal is there, but not the Numbers one. I can order it on Amazon US, but it’s a lot more expensive for me with the exchange and shipping. Do you know if it will be for sale on the Canadian site?

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Nicola,

Originally, Amazon Canada would not accept any of my journals – but just this week I received an email that they are all accepted but it could take up to 30 days for them to appear. I’m so glad to hear that the Acts Journal has appeared there! The Numbers one should be available there soon as well…but it’s out of my hands as to when. It could be 1 week or 3-4 – ugh!!! I’m saying a prayer tonight that it happens quickly!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

      1. Thanks for getting back to me, Courtney. The Acts one was already up when the study started.

        I’ll keep checking! 🙂

        Lots of love back!
        Nicola xo

  9. I realize you are terribly busy… and I only found this website when you started Proverbs…. I’m trying to catch-up on the weekends and breaks. Is there somewhere on the site where I can find all the discussion questions per book? It’s much harder to stay focused when I am on my own. Thanks for your guidance and dedication to helping others study the bible.

  10. Acts has been an awesome journey. opening my eyes to things i have read before, but never completely took to heart. Reading about Paul and all he had gone through for God, I pray that if I am ever tested, Gods light will shine forth, and I will not back down. The resent shootings helped to really bring the message home. Thank you for this study. Can’t say I am excited about the book of Numbers, but I know doing it with WLW will be eye opening.

  11. I was looking for the going deeper portions for everything for Acts after Chapter 10 but cant seem to locate it can someone help me? Thanks!

    1. Hi Amanda,

I’m sorry but in the middle of writing I changed course and started posting the Making Your Home a Haven Series on Wednesdays – so there are no more Going Deeper posts.

      Much Love,
      Courtney

  12. I came in towards the end but what stood out to me how unafraid Paul was to die and it seems so applicable as we have courage for our brothers and sisters around the world still facing death in many places.
