Info for GMG Leaders, Open Groups & The Book of Job

Here at Good Morning Girls – You belong.  God’s word says in Romans 12:5:

In Christ, we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Do you feel connected to the body of Christ?

A new year is about to begin and it’s a great time to connect.

I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and lead!

Start a group for moms, singles, new wives, divorced women, homeschool moms, preschool moms, empty nesters or widows!  Take the initiative.

Here at Good Morning Girls we provide all the resources you need to lead a Women’s Bible Study Group!

You can start a Good Morning Girls group that meets for coffee in real life every week or you can start a group that meets daily on-line.  You can use Facebook Groups, email, text messaging and more to connect!

You belong!  We are here to sharpen each other.

Proverbs 2717 iron sharpens iron

We regroup here at GMG 3 times a year – summer, fall and winter.

You DO NOT have to have a group, to join our on-line Bible study.

I can be your accountability partner every Monday and Friday here on the blog if you’d rather not be in a group.

There are no sign-ups, enrollments or subscriptions required to join us.  No hoops!

  1. I would like to lead a group here in our neighbourhood (rural Western Newfoundland). I have five ladies and three homeschooled children who want to participate. Unfortunately none of us have facebook. Can you direct me on getting set-up. Thanks, Lili

    1. Hi Lili,

If you don’t have facebook then we recommend you all use email. The way it would work is one of the women in the group sends an email to the group in the morning saying “Good Morning Girls – here’s what I learned in my Bible study this morning.” Then the other girls respond to the entire group and share what they are learning.

If you need a copy of the leader’s manual – please email me at courtney@womenlivingwell.org and I’ll send it to you!

Thank you so much for leading!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

        1. Thanks H! We are going to talk daily and meet weekly at the ski hill – combining the Word with enjoying His Creation.

  2. Hi Courtney! My group and I are SO excited to start Job on Monday, and we’re excited to have some new ladies join us as well!

I didn’t see the list of discussion questions in this post. Will those be posted later this week?

    1. Hi Melissa,

I’m so excited to begin too!!! Every Monday (usually it’s up late Sunday night), I post the 5 verses of the day and the discussion questions for the week. So those will be available here on a weekly basis starting January 4th!

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  3. Do I have to do anything specific to set up a new FaceBook group? Or is it as simple as starting a group and inviting people to join?

    1. Hi LaWann,

It’s as simple as clicking on “create a group” along the side bar of facebook – naming it and then inviting your friends!

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  4. Thank you, Courtney, to you and your team for all you are doing to organize this so well! Looking forward to January 4th and the book of Job!!!

  5. I recently took myself off of facebook, and do not wish to get back on but would like to access the resources that you off gmg leaders. Is there any way to do that?

  6. I’d love to lead a moms group via email if you still need leaders. If so, please let me know now to sign up. Thanks!!

    1. Hi Angela,

This is wonderful! If you do facebook – come join our GMG Leader’s group and there you’ll find a place to leave your info so you can be added to our list of open groups. If you do not have a facebook account – you are welcome to leave your address right here in the comment section.

      Thank you!
      Courtney

  7. Hi Courtney! I’ve been doing GMG for a few years now and I’m feeling like I’m ready to start leading a group. I started a group on Facebook, open to all, called Good Morning Girls for Young Wives and Mothers. I was wondering how I go about including the group on your group listing to recruit some members? (Link is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/210418602624853/ )

    Blessings,
    Dolly

  8. I have a blog that I would like to use for blogging through the Bible with GMG and I’d also like to start a group. I’ve clicked to join the leader’s facebook group so I can get the leader’s manual. Is there anything else I need to do at this point?

    1. Hi Christy!

I’m so excited to hear you are both blogging and starting a group! Scroll down and click through the files to find all the resources you need to lead in the facebook group.

Every Monday you will find resources for the week here on the blog as well. I think that is all you need!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  9. Hello! I am super stoked to be doing this study! I have one question, though. I was wondering if there was any way that I could get the verse of the day downloaded with the study guide? I saw that it wasn’t included with the study guide, but I would like to have them. Thank you. 🙂

    1. Welcome Misty!

Every Monday I will provide all of the “Verses of the Day” for the entire week – in a free printable form here on the blog. So those are coming soon.

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  10. This is wonderful news! I was recently reading the Book of Job in my personal study of the Bible and when struggling to draw full meaning from the verses I checked to see if GMG had done a Job study and at that point there wasn’t one. Now today (just a few days later) I’m so pleased to see this announcement! It’s a real blessing and gift 🙂 I’m so excited to start my first ever study with you!

  11. I was just directed to your site and your studies. I LOVE the book of JOB. It is my favorite in all of the Bible. Do I have to join an already created group, or can I start a group of mom friends on my own? Is the journal the only thing I need to buy? What about the color coding? As far as the reading, how do we find out how this works each day/week? Thanks for all of the help in getting started!

    1. Welcome Stacy,

It would be WONDERFUL if you started your own group! Thank you for taking the initiative!

The journal and color coding are optional. I LOVE using them! If you choose to use them, you’ll need to purchase the journal and some colored pencils or the hi-gliders that I linked to in this post above.

Every Monday here on the blog I will provide you with daily group discussion questions and daily verses…here’s a look at what a Monday post typically looks like from our last study in the book of Numbers: https://womenlivingwell.org/2015/12/good-morning-girls-resources-numbers-31-36/ I’ll also have a blog post here for you on Fridays to review our weekly reading and fellowship together.

      I can’t wait to begin!
      Courtney

    1. Hi Shannon,

I do not have any Bible Studies available for teens but the journals are able to be completed by kids ages 10 and up.

      Hope that helps,
      Courtney

  12. Hello!
“Stumbled” across this opportunity and now I am trying to process it all before Monday. 🙂
You stated if we didn’t want to join a group… “I can be your accountability partner every Monday and Friday here on the blog if you’d rather not be in a group.” So in that case, do we just come back to this page?
I am inviting my daughters to join, so we thought we’d hang out with you and then find a group next time.

Thanks for encouraging women to be in the word!

    1. Welcome Elena! I’m so excited to hear that you stumbled here!

You are correct. Just come here to the blog every Monday for the weekly free resources and Friday for the wrap-up devotional. If you want to be sure not to miss a thing, you can subscribe to my blog – via email – on the sidebar of my blog. If you are on a phone scroll down below this comment section to find the subscription button.

I love that you are doing it with your daughters – you do not need to join a group and can just be your own group with your daughters if you’d like. I think that is perfect!

Looking forward to Monday’s journey with you all,
      Courtney

  13. I have some girl friends who would love this idea ! How do we start a local good Morning girls group ? We all have FACEBOOK so could continue like this but wasn’t sure how to get started leading a group 🙂
Thanks so much for letting me join a group

    1. Barbie,

Wonderful! I’m so excited for your group!

Follow this link to the GMG Leaders page here on the blog: https://womenlivingwell.org/gmg-leaders/ the password is “leader”. There you will find a link to the GMG Facebook Group for the leaders. This facebook group offers leaders tons of resources, support and a Leader’s Manual in the file section.

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  14. This may sound a little odd… But I’m a recovering drug addict and I am doing well! But I violated my probation by driving to work one night, my licence are suspended 🙁 That is a violation. To be honest I got scared and we’ll long story short, I have to go turn myself in to get this time or if the way. I recently found gmg and live it. It was just what i was looking for.
Wondering, is there maybe a simple print out of past studies with the daily reflection and questions that I could print and take with me. I’ve found somethings in archive but it’s hard to try to transfer into word on my tablet, to print.

  15. I wanted to study the bible but didn’t want to do it alone. I asked my daughter, my sister-in-law and the daughter of friends I met in the Air Force.if they would join me and they said yes. Three of us live in the same town in Pa. and one in South Carolina, we are doing this over the computer to keep in touch with the one in S.C. I was asked by her why Job didn’t use his free will to resist instead of letting God put him through so much agony. How would YOU answer that question.
Ps, I think I will be adding another member to my little group.
