This book is perfect as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday.

This is a wonderful method that slows us down and helps us soak in every single word.

Here’s what it looks like in my Bible (and some of yours).

  1. I’m in! It is going to be GREAT walking with the Lord as we journey together through the book of Mark. Job has been tough at times, but a blessing as we see the coming encounter with the Almighty One. Thank You, Courtney & Staff for ALL YOU DO!!!

  2. Wow, I can’t believe how many books we have already read. I think we started Sept 2014? Is that right? If so, we are about at the the half way point of the 3-year reading plan.

I can’t believe that happened so fast. I thought, 3 years, that is a long commitment, but the time has just flown by and I am getting more than I ever had out of the study of God’s word.

I am so grateful God put this idea on your heart and appreciate you being faithful to continue to put the time and commitment into this.

    1. TBG,

I am so thankful for all of your wise input through out this series!

You are correct – we began in Sept. 2014 – time is flying! I thought back then it’d take 3 years but I did not figure in the breaks in between…so I think it’s going to take longer. Just wanted to forewarn you. 😉

So glad you are joining us again!
      Courtney

  3. I ve been looking for something like this so I’m so glad the Lord has sent this to me. Looking forward to beginning the March reading.

  4. I am loving this study method. My OCD is kicking in. 😉 can you let me know how long of a break until the study after Mark (if also the book)? I use weekends and breaks to catch up and i still have exodus and leviticus to study.

I find i like the colored sections of my bible so helpful even in church on sundays. I can clearly see the catagory of the verse while the pastor talks. It gives a new dimension to sunda mornings. So awesom working through the bible this way!

    1. Hi Gwen –

We will finish the book of Job this Friday Februrary 26th and then be on break for one week – until Monday, March 7th when we begin the book of Mark. Then there will be about a 2 week break until we start the next book on April 11th.

      Hope that helps!
      Courtney 🙂

        1. Hi Wendy – I have not revealed the next book yet – I will on the blog in about 2 weeks – but I’ll tell you here since you asked. 😉 We have completed – Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers – so next up is Deuteronomy! Summer is a big surprise – I have something special planned! Yay!

          Love,
          Courtney

  5. Hi, if I am new and just going to start with the Book of Mark, does that make sense for me as a new believer? Or should I go back to the beginning where you started? If I do just start now how do you suggest I go about doing what I missed? At the end? Or? Thank you for your help. This looks amazing.
    Debbie

      1. Yes I probably will be doing it by myself. I know so little and just am not sure if maybe I should just start at the 1st study on here and work my way forward. I know it says you can just jump in but is that the “best” way to do this?

        1. Hi Debbie!
If you decide you would like to study with a group, I have an email group and I would love for you to join us! Or, I could be your study buddy if you would like it just 1-on-1. Welcome to Good Morning Girls! This is a great community!! rtblbunch@yahoo.com

          1. Hi Teresa
I have been doing the book of Job Bible study
Got in to late to join a group but want to ask if your email group
is open?? I will start the book of Mark with GMG
I’ve been following on facebook but have not been sharing my soak
since they have been 2-4pages long , but love reading other girls insight

        2. I think the gospel of Mark is great place for a new believer to start. It let’s you examine Jesus’s ministry and teachings and leads into the resurrection story – the crux of our faith.

Welcome to the family. So blessed and inspired to see new believers with a desire to study the Word.

  6. Hi! Just found this and am excited to start this reading plan. Looks interesting. Been really needing something like this.

  7. hello will there be discussing questions for Mark? If so when will they come out? I am trying to set up my notebook for the study.

    1. Hi Sharon,

Yes, there will be daily discussion questions and verses of the day posted here every Sunday night for the upcoming week.

So the first set will go up Sunday evening, March 6th. 😉

  10. Dear Courtney,

How do I join a group for the study of Mark? Last time I missed it for Job so I just want to make sure I sign up on time this time. Thank you!

    1. KC, you are welcome to contact me and join in with our group for this upcoming study of the book of Mark. We welcome all sisters in Christ to study with us.

      1. Hi Sheila I am looking for a email or accountability group. I am looking for a group where I can share on the prescribed chapter or share whatever I am reading in the Bible. My email is mangomumma@yahoo.ca
        Thanks

  11. I began to read my Bible daily last October. I had tried before to go straight through, but Leviticus is not a cliffhanger, folks. I did my research on how to go about studying properly. I found your color guide as start. Love. It. Being the detailed person that I am, and the 16 pack of twistable colored pencils I got for this endeavor, I have expanded the color code a bit. But that’s how I learn. I am excited that Mark is next on your list! I just started it myself! But I want to follow with you this time, rather than tag along @ instagram. Headed to Amazon!

      1. My Mark journal will be here Monday! WooHoo! My birthday is Friday and I believe that I will have a brand spanking new study Bible (never had one before) to go along with Mark study.

  12. I have been following you for awhile, but Job was the first study I have done. I am so grateful I found you girls, such an inspiration and blessing! I am so excited for the book of Mark!

  13. Hi, I’m a first timer with GMG, I learned about this site while reading Women Living Well. I am looking forward to the Mark Study and hope to find a group to join in with.

  14. I would also like to join in on reading Mark together. I do not have Facebook, instagram, or any other social media. Is there a way to subscribe to a blog or participate in a way without using social media?
    Thank you!
    Amy

    1. Hi Amy,

I’ll be here on the blog every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So just join us right here. You can subscribe to this blog – via email – along the sidebar of the blog.

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney

  15. I live overseas and would like to know if you could make a pdf downloadable version of the journal? I would like to purchase but don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting it shipped through Amazon. It would be nice to offer online purchase and instant download. I live in Abu Dhabi, UAE and a few ladies and I participated faithfully in a few studies last year. We would to continue and it would nice to have these journals for our sessions. Thanks for your wonderful work.

  16. I am so excited, Mark will be my first Chapter with GMG!! I’m ready! And Courtney, I just purchased your book and started reading, I LOVE it!!! I hope you will consider writing another!

  17. Courtney I just want to say that the Lord has blessed you with a beautiful gift that you have shared with us all. A place online to learn and share and be blessed by the Lord. I never thought that a online study could work. It sure does! I have been a part of GMG for quite a few years and for the most part have been so blessed. Some of the groups I was in no longer exist, and some of the ladies I am still in touch with, from all over the world. What a beautiful blessing this group is. Thank You. God bless you abundantly in all that you do, may He lead you and guide you in all that you do. And I really love that you have opened up the daily studies to a full chapter. It gives each person the opportunity to share whatever jumps out at them from a whole chapter. It allows the Lord more freedom to lead me individually. Just wondering, is it your policy that only the prescribed daily chapter be shared in the email group setting? I have been in groups where it was very welcomed to share whatever God was putting on the hearts of the ladies from scripture. The last group I was in, it was only ok to share in the main feed the specific chapter study, it was very sad for me, to the point that I left that group. I just wanted you to know. However I haven’t given up, I am still here searching for Gods best for me.
    Thanks again
    Ingrid
    Blessings
    Ingrid

    1. Hi Ingrid,

Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. I’m sorry that your last group was not a good fit.

I leave it up to the leaders of the groups to decide what is best for their group but usually it works best if everyone is sharing about the same passage of scripture. Some leaders are more flexible than others and some groups are bigger or smaller and what works in one does not work in another. If you aren’t able to find a group that is a good fit – I encourage you to start your own group. I know that would be a blessing to others. 🙂

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  18. I’m ready! Thanks to my girlfriend, Janice, for thinking of me. At the beginning of the year I decided to read my bible consistently everyday; I started with the book of Acts. I wasn’t consistent with “everyday”,but I did complete it. I am now reading Romans. This, I feel, will be much better, because I am now accountable. Again, thanks for a great idea in doing this.

    1. Welcome Wenda,

I’m so glad to hear you are joining us and that’s great that you have been reading in Acts and Romans – I love those books of the Bible.

See you back here on Monday!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney
