Living Loyal to God…to the Finish

When trials press in and spiritual battles rage on, doubt can start creeping in. Here's how to continue live loyal to God to the finish. #Biblestudy #James #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Christians are called to faithfulness.

Faith is the foundation of our salvation.

Faithfulness is remaining loyal to God…to the finish.

When trials press in and spiritual battles rage on – when we are tired and frustrated and weary…doubt can creep in.  Our trust of God can begin to be abandoned and a lack of faith can invade our hearts.  Then the world’s voice can begin to be louder and stronger than God’s and slowly our faith fades and it is replaced with worldly pursuits.

If you are struggling with weariness in your faith today – this is for you.  Join me on this video as we take a closer look at James chapter 4 and Living Loyal to God…To the Finish!

{if you are reading this in an email or feed – click here to view the video}

Jesus warns us of His enemy – who He has named the “father of lies” (John 8:44).  He seeks to lure us away from our faithfulness with every lie possible.

He knows our weak spots.

He will use every tactic and scheme – every false notion, idea, and opinion he can to draw us – and our loved ones – away from the Lord.

Do not be deceived.

Remain faithful to your Savior, Jesus!

To the finish!

He loves you so.

Walk with the King,

Courtney

  1. This video was soo. POWERFUL!? thank you it really ministered to me. I need to examine myself and life?

  2. Is there a transcript of the video available for our hearing impaired friends? I’m doing this study with a friend who is hearing impaired. I know they would appreciate the video message but they can’t hear it. Thanks…

    1. Hi Lisa,

I do not have transcripts available at this time but when you press play on the video you will see on the right hand corner the letters “CC” – click on these letters – closed captioning will pop up on the video and they can read the words as I speak them.

      Hope this helps! ?

  3. Hi Courtney,

James is my second online study.First one is Ecclesiastes.

Really its a blessing to study the Bible with you all.

God gave me a thought to start a Whatsapp group to join other girls to this study. So I started a group where girls are joining and studying James.

There I shared the reading plan and they study and share their thoughts.

Is there any other thing that I must follow as a group leader to guide them? Please let me know.

Thank you very much for all your efforts and guidance.

      1. Hi Courtney,

Interestingly, I also felt led to start a Whatsapp group with some of the fellow mamas of our church mom and me group. I love the book of James and wanted to be able to study with my friends. I also went through the above links to the leader group and the Facebook group says it’s ‘pending approval’ for me to join. I really enjoyed this study because James is such a practical book, and it was perfect for my fellow mamas, as the readings were fairly short. This was my first GMG study, and am looking forward to the book of Joshua in September. This study has been a blessing, thanks so much!

        1. I too have been loving this study on James. I have done a few online studies on my own. Have been praying about starting a small group. So excited to report He helped me to find GMG, choose the right friends, and get going. I created a group with a few friends. I set up a private FB page where we can share and discuss. I would like to join the leader group to see what other ways we can connect and study. Will go to the above and see what happens. Thank you for sharing we are all excited to see what’s next.

      1. I don’t know why that is happening – it is working for me so I’m not sure how to fix it. Are you logged into Facebook? Try copying and pasting the url in once you are logged in – I hope it works!

  5. Courtney,
Thank you so much for the heart you have for others and the desire you have to share it with all of us. I love so much that you have the same struggles that I do and that you march forward each day to serve God. It gives me hope. I think you are doing a wonderful job!! Keep up the good work. ?

  6. I really needed this today. My husband is currently unemployed and this is the 3rd time in about 7 years. Not because of anything he has done but due to contracts ending and businesses closing. I am frustrated that this keeps happening and see other men who are in jobs for decades and wonder why this keeps happening. Each time it happens he gets another job that is better paying than the one before but I would really like for him to get a job that I don’t have the thought, “this could end at any moment”. He’s had one interview that led nowhere and keeps putting in applications but nothing yet. Needles to say it has been very easy to let my mind wander and worry. This has helped get my mind off our current situation and back onto God.

  7. I really enjoyed this video very powerful message. I also really liked what you said about riding the fence. It really gave me a lot to think about. God Bless!

  8. I am so glad that I “clicked” back to your study! God knew exactly what I need to be studying right now. I am a Worship Leader at my church and sometimes the struggles are just overwhelming. This just reminds me that Satan knows my weakness. I need acknowledge that he is using them against me and FIGHT ON! He is worth fighting for. Thank you for sharing.

  9. Hello,

I really appreciated your video. You are not alone with this struggle. Glad to see we can encourage one another. Praying for GMG and WLW and all the ladies it touches. May we all grow spiritually and bear godly fruit for the kingdom.

    In Christian Love,
    Nascent

  10. This was so timely to get in my inbox. I have been suffering terribly lately with fear and doubt (as many others likely have also). I need my faith built up again.

  11. POWERFUL video. It really convicted my heart and made me examine a few things that are in my life…that have slowly and sneakily crept into my life…that I need to get rid of.~~~~I’m excited about the Joshua study and can’t wait to see what new thing you will be revealing soon! I’ve been reading the Bible with you since you began this whole concept. Your words have blessed my life because they have come straight from God. Thank you for your ministry! It has touched my life in a profound way and I pray that it touches many more lives in the days and years to come!

  12. Thank you so very much for that. I am convicted as well. Brought tears to my eyes just thinking about how selfish of a people we are. I want to live that way as well. Will be praying for you. Thank you.

  13. Hi Courtney,
I haven’t commented in SO long (my kids are getting older and life is feeling not only busier, but FASTER, which brings so many emotions with it, -the seasons shifting). However, I continue to adore you and your ministry, and your very convicting messages. God has so gifted you for teaching.
This one is a hard one for me. I found it to be so profound, so convicting. At the same time, I thought, “But here is where the rubber meets the road.” We *know* this passage to be the truth, and your insight makes it “layman’s terms” clear. BUT……what will we DO with this clarity? What will YOU do? Me? Others? I think you could have a video part B, Courtney, -insight into REAL ways we need to *apply* this scripture, NOW, in our lives. How do we practically “clean house” on some of the things in our lives that violate this scripture? I find THAT (identify, plan, implement, WALK with God) to be…..somewhat overwhelming? Yes, because it means that I have to get REAL and face my failures where my faith and walk are concerned.
Love you, Courtney. You have been a bright light in my life since the day I discovered you on the internet, and I’m so glad I did.
    Blessings,
    Toni
p.s. we did 3 years of CC, before choosing to step away (still love CC and miss aspects of it). Still homeschooling my youngest 3, and my oldest is now in a private Christian high school. We resumed on Tuesday. Off and running, lol.

  14. Hey Courtney,
I have been following you for about a year now and love this ministry so much. I am wanting to become a leader for a small group of family and friends. Where do I begin?

    1. Hi Angela,

I’m so glad you are joining us and are willing to be a leader!

Go to this page here and enter the password: leader

      https://womenlivingwell.org/gmg-leaders/

From there you will find a link to our facebook leaders group where you will find many more resources and support for our leaders including a Free Manual.

      Hope to see you there!
      Courtney ?

  15. Thanks Courtney for that powerful video! “Cheating on God”, I would have never thought that the endless hours I put into playing video games could be adulterous. I use it as a form of relaxation but sometimes I go overboard. I know that I could use most of that time with my God, reading/studying His Word, praying, and just resting and enjoying His Presence. And I know it is a choice because He doesn’t force us to come to Him. We must choose.

    Thanks once again!
