We Are Family

Through the sales of Good Morning Girls journals, Women Living Well Ministries has been able to donate to multiple global organizations.

I am so excited to share with you about how my friend Holly has used some of the funds to minister to our sisters in Christ, in the Ukraine.  These ladies are students, graduates and wives of pastors at the Kyiv Theological Seminary.

Holly and I met in high school and she discipled me on a weekly basis, as we did a one on one Bible Study together, for 2 years.  After high school, we attended the Moody Bible Institute together and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding.

Here’s Holly’s family in the Urkaine now:

Holly writes:

We are so thankful for the ministry of Women Living Well and your participation in Kyiv Theological Seminary’s Women’s Conference this past fall.

Through your generous giving, sixty women – who are current students, graduates, or wives of students – gathered on the seminary’s campus for a two-day get away.

These women traveled from all over Ukraine to attend this conference, themed, “Fulfilled Women: God’s Beloved Daughter, Rooted in Jesus, Growing Spiritually and Cultivating Gratitude.”

The retreat provided an opportunity to serve women who are normally the ones serving on the “front lines.”

It was a time for these precious ladies to pull away from family and ministry responsibilities in order to connect with likeminded sisters in Christ, refuel through Bible study, worship, and relax through crafts, games and even a cooking class.

Oksana shared that this was her first Women’s Conference, and upon her arrival in Kyiv she was very nervous and unsure.  Her husband is a pastoral student at the seminary and they are church planting in a small village in Western Ukraine.

By the second day, Oksana’s fears had turned to joy as she was soaking in the good Bible teaching and fellowship times. She left the conference ready to return to her ministry, having connected with several women who will continue to pray for and support one another.

Masha shared that she was deeply encouragement by her time at the conference and she was leaving with renewed hope. Masha is a church planter/pastor’s wife and a mother of four kids, whose family has faced great difficulty over the past few years.

The costs for attending the conference was subsidized through Women Living Well, so each attendee paid a small fraction of the actual cost and several women received complete scholarships.

Through your generosity, we were able to “spoil” the women through a special craft time,

a coffee house with specialty drinks,

and on top of this, each woman was gifted the book, “The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotion”.

Thank you for partnering with ministry women, around the globe, for the advancement of the gospel!

There’s our sisters in Christ!

Aren’t they beautiful?

The church is not a building – it’s the people!

We are family.

Will you pray for these ladies today as God uses them as ministry leaders?

Thank you for praying and thank you for supporting the Women Living Well Ministry!
