I Came Unglued at Church #Facepalm & a NEW Unglued Giveaway!
Some might remember, last August I flew to North Carolina to be a part of Lysa Terkeurst’s live Webcast for her newly released book Unglued. (I’m at around minute 29) Well since then, the book Unglued has hit the New York Times Best Seller list and has stayed there for weeks on end!!! Hooray! And now Lysa has a new devotional coming out titled Unglued Devotional: 60 Days of Imperfect Progress.
Not long ago – I came unglued at church. #Facepalm Oh yes, yes I did. And it was not pretty. You see my kids are in a Sunday evening program where they earn stickers for memory verses and service projects. And one evening we messed up and turned in a service project that did not “qualify”. Being the rule followers that we are lol!, we apologized and went home and did another service project. Then we went back and turned the new one in. And again – it did not “qualify”…and that’s when it all went down hill…I became unglued.
Oh friends, if only I could turn back time and keep my mouth shut. I went from talking to one leader to being passed off to the leader of the leaders – a dear friend of 10 years. And forget that she and I were friends…I was on a mission to get my kid his sticker!!! There we stood in a hallway with about 15 other people around, having a heated discussion about the definition of “service”.
Oh seriously – really? – at church? – two sisters in Christ who honestly love each other — who have stood shoulder to shoulder “serving”. We’ve made 30 meals in one day for the meal ministry, just me and her and one other friend. We’ve “served” for over 5 years together in the nursery. I sat and watched her baby while she threw up with morning sickness in her shower, she showed up at my door with a meal my first week home with my newborn baby, we’ve studied the Bible together, and have watched our children play and grow up together…and I’m haggling over a sticker in the hallway of our church! #facepalm
Well, I got my sticker…but I acted like a fool!
The following Sunday, I walked into the worship service and sat down. The Pastor announced we would be taking communion that morning. We stood to sing and this friend came to the end of the pew and motioned for me to come with her to the hallway. Ummmmm can you say awkward?
She went right to the point and shared how she couldn’t take communion without coming to me and making things right. Then she proceeded to apologize {dagger to the heart}. Not only did I act like a fool but now here she was making things right – while I had not even considered apologizing. I assumed that since we knew each other so well, our heated discussion was not personal…but who was I kidding? I owed her an apology- goodness, I came unglued on her over a silly sticker! My heart melted – I apologized too. We hugged.
And then we took communion…
And as I looked down at the cup of red drink and the bread in my hand – shame washed over me – shame for my failures. And then as I took and ate it in remembrance of Christ blood shed for me on the cross – I found grace. Grace through my friend’s forgiveness and grace through Christ’s blood that covers it all. I am so thankful for God’s grace that stands in the gaps of friendships that have been hurt through unglued emotions.
Have your unglued emotions hurt family relationships or meaningful friendships? You are not alone… Go to the cross – go to your friend and make it right.
“Do not comform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”~Romans 12:2
We won’t develop new responses until we develop new thoughts.~Lysa Terkeurst
I love Lysa’s new Unglued Devotional: 60 Days of Imperfect Progress. It is a follow-up devotional to her best-selling book Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions. It is such a comforting, encouraging, inspiring and convicting devotional. Lysa is honest and wise as she walks her reader through the imperfect progress we all need to make with our emotions.

Would LOVE to win this. Our ladies are going through the study in March and I can’t wait!
Thank you so much for always being real and encouraging. So thankful I stumbled across your blog, I love reading it and so glad you are back. Keep up the hard work.
Thank you for sharing the Truth to all of us “glued up girls.” It is good to become unglued so that our Lord can make us right with Him, and therefore with one another. Love is all that is left standing.
Thank you so much for being honest. We are so many times not honest with yourselves, God, and the people we hurt. I have always wanted to read Unglued. I have heard some ladies from my church read it and really have enjoyed it. It’s time to me to get alone with God and grow. I have four kids – littlest one is 2 1/2 — no alone time. 🙂 Thank you for your blog. In Him…
I can’t figure out how to leave a comment! Lol. Only a reply…. I hate it when I come unglued. Wish there was an off switch. I know it takes discipline and of course the help of our God in heaven.
Sara

Love the blog! I would love to win the book
I would love to win this! I’m in this study now but how cool to have an extra copy to give to a friend I know that could use it.
I pinned it and tweeted and facebooked this give-a-way 🙂
I am entering for the giveaway, but I also want to share something with you. I have been following you for a few years now and find comfort in almost every post you write. It’s amazing how we can all be so different, yet still the same. We women are from various backgrounds, but our hearts for God and the commonality in our failures let us know that we are not alone. Thank you, thank you, thank you….for sharing your stories, being so candid about your thoughts and emotions, and encouraging us Christian women who are struggling everyday to grow into the kind of people He wants us to be! 🙂
Krystal, you are so right. I have learned to appreciate my sisters-in-Christ who share their hearts so openly. What an encouragement to the rest of us and it teaches us to keep going!
I love reading your blog. Thank you.
Thank you for telling us your “unglued” story. I have been in the same place as you and came unglued at Church. And I know it is not easy to admit we were wrong. I have to do it all the time. Why do we do these things? Because we are human, but that isn’t an excuse. I appreciate all you do for Christ. You are truly a blessing. Thank you
tweeted, shared on facebook and pinned it too

I have recently come Unglued at a situation in my family. I did not handle it well and felt terrible. I know this book will be a blessing to whoever wins. I love Lysa’s books. I am so glad you are back from your break from blogging.

Oh wow, I can think of so many times I have come “unglued” – even if I didn’t say it out loud, I did it in my head, or worse, I vented to someone else instead of confronting and dealing with it. Thanks for sharing your story and being real with us!
Thank you for your transparency. Bless you for the lessons you so gracefully impart.
I’m in! 🙂
I shared it on my Facebook page.
GREAT story!!! GREAT giveaway! I’ve never been in a Starbucks!!!
I read this book last year, and it came at a time when I REALLY needed it. Such good perspective and guidance to Christ through human shepherding of emotions that are sometimes hard to navigate. In my case, someone had become “unglued” at me, and I needed to take grace toward her, and Lisa’s book helped me to process the situation. I was especially helped by the phrase. “We cannot control how someone treats us or chooses to act, but we can choose to control how we respond.” Anyway, I’d love another copy and the study and all those freebies! Yes please! Thank you Courtney for sharing this personal story. I was teaching at a Christian school before I had my babies, and I sometimes couln’t how “unglued” some Christian parents could become over a little misunderstand with THEIR CHILD! I learned a lot from it. It’s very normal to have that mama bear instinct when our children are involved…that’s why we need the Lord’s ballanced and proper humanity through His making His home in our heart through our failures when we take His blood. Praise Him!
Shared it on my Facebook page . Hope I win!
I also pinned it too.
I would love to win this give away! I shared your post on facebook, tweeted, and pinned it 🙂

What a wonderful post; thank you so much for sharing! We are going through the DVD series for Unglued on Wednesday nights at our church. It’s been such a blessing! Thank you for sharing your unglued moment. I was just telling a friend at church tonight after watching Lysa’s DVD that we grow and learn in moments when we are most transparent. There are so many times I have looked at women I admire and then look down on myself thinking I’ll never measure up. However, when you see the “real” them, you realize they have the same struggles you do and are being renewed each day as well.
Oh, how I need this! I came unglued at church myself and it wasn’t pretty!
I love her books! What a great giveaway!

I enjoy reading your blog…you sound like a REAL person with REAL struggles…just like the rest of us. I have a friend that is going through something almost like what you did and I would love to win this and then I would give it to her. (And no, the issue is not with me, but with a shared friend…I’m somewhat in the middle even though I am not taking sides, I love them both).
Oh, I come unglued more than I would like to admit. I’ve been wanting to read this book, it seems to be written just for me:/

LOVE YOUR BLOG…. and a good GIVEAWAY!
Oh, My! I can not begin to describe how much I need this book/devotional/giveaway. With 4 children ages 5,4,3, and 1, (yes, I had 4 in 4 years and 1 month… crazy… I know!) I come UNGLUED on a daily, no HOURLY bases it seems. I am trying do hard to rein it in, but I have know idea how to. I am trying to homeschool my little ones, and to top it all off I am disabled (Brain Bleeds) as well. (Noise really tends to bother me, and can set me off). Can’t wait to read this book! I, also, just received Desperate by Sarah Mae. Can’t wait to start reading that one as well.
BTW… I Pinned, Shared to FB, and Tweeted. 🙂
Thank you for your honesty and for pointing our hearts to Christ.

Courtney I just want you to know I love love love you! I know we don’t personally know each other, maybe one that will change, but I love your heart. I love that you are so honest and real with who you are and your shortcomings. Yes sister Praise God for his Grace and his loving convictions. It is because of his Grace and those convictions that we stay on track. Your heart is in a good place. Thank you for allowing Christ to use you and thank you for this giveaway.

Both, the unglued book and devotional sound like something I need to read, especially in my situation! I’m going through a not-so-pretty divorce and I’ve found myself with bitter thoughts and harsh words lately. If I don’t win, this will definitely be something I will have to save up to buy!
I have pinned this giveaway..

It is safe to say I have come unglued over things just as meaningless and stupid (looking back, it all seems important at the time!)
I would love to win : )
Thank you for sharing your church story about coming unglued. It is uplifting to know I’m not just crazy and other women do this as well. We are doing this study in church and it has been great so far. I am now kicking myself for not buying the devotional when it was on sale, because I’d really like to have it to go with the book I got. But now you have given me a chance to win it, so thank you for that chance. Plus I could pass the book itself onto a friend who would enjoy it as much as I am.
I have several friends reading this now. I would love to win.
I am sharing on FB
I have also shared on facebook! (not sure if we are supposed to leave separate comments for each share or just one so I hope this is ok)
Love your honestly!!! I think I could take a few lessons from her book also:) Praising Him and the way he transforms us because I know that I’m too weak to ever do it on my own. To Him belongs the glory!!
I would love a chance to win 😀

Amazing giveaway! Great post! Thank you for serving the women reading your blog as well as their families!
I have been struggling with changing my “unglued” moments to soul controlled moments – hoping that soon they will be changed to God controlled moments – where I can allow the spirit of God to reign in me! My ladies bible study at church just finished the Unglued book by Lysa. I was able to sit in on a few. Lots of encouragement and sound advice. Thanks for this post and for the chance to win the giveaway!!
*crying* I totally came unglued at my hubby tonight. I tell myself we all have those moments, and maybe we do, but that excuse has gone on too long at our house. Maybe I need this book! 🙂
I had an unglued moment in church as well 🙂 It ended with my crying in the nursing room! It was truly pitiful.
I am working on watching my temper and thinking before I speak. This would be wonderful to motivate me. Thank you for your inspirational blog. I love reading it!
Wow – I am running around so much that Krazy Glue couldn’t keep me together! Good for you for sharing this!
Aww, thanks for being so real with us.
As a mom of 3 kids (12,9, and 4), it’s very easy to come “unglued” in my house. Out in public is another story for me, if I’m not in control, I at least try to make it look like I am…at least until we get home. I think the most common place for me to come “unglued” is at the grocery store with all 3 kids. They all start asking for this that and the other thing. I’m usually trying to get done and get out…Anyway, I read a few of Lysa’s devotionals sent via email from Proverbs31.org and really enjoyed them. Would love to win, but will probably buy the book if I don’t.
Looks like you are going to have a ton of names to choose from. I would love this new book. Was able to read and do a study with one of her other ones. Loved it!
I think we all have those moments, I just pray that they get fewer and fewer…
I would LOVE to win this book!!! 🙂
I am looking forward to Lisa’s new book. Loved “Made to Crave”!
I SO need this! I just delivered my son, Isaac, at almost 24 weeks along in my pregnancy and shortly after he died in my arms. I have four children and a husband at home that I am trying not to become”unglued”with since. This is an area in my life that God is really calling me to work on in my life and I would love the opportunity to do so with “Unglued” Thank you for the opportunity. God bless.
My heart hurts for you Kristin. God knows and He understands your pain right now. It’s hard when you don’t have time to grieve. Father, wrap your loving arms around Kristin. Please give her Your perfect peace. Let your Holy Spirit comfort her. In Jesus Name, I pray.
I pray for you to be embraced right now and for HIS strength to get you through each day. So sorry for your heartbreak!
I would love to win 🙂 Sounds like a great book!

I Would love to win a copy of this book, I have been wanting to read it for a while now.
Boy do I need this book. I become unglued a lot, and unfortunately the people I become unglued at is usually my family. I’ve studied anger books and prayed, and it has gotten better, but I’d like to finally be able to control my emotions all the time, rather than my emotions controlling me. I’d love to have this book.
Please enter me for the giveaway. Thank you

Thank you for the giveaway 🙂
Thank you for keeping it real and giving a glimpse of the real you. Transparency and a lesson learned, a good thing. Thank you!
Hi Courtney, praise be to the Lord for grace 🙂 Thank you for sharing that. Have a blessed day. Tara (The Proverbs 31 Sanctuary)
Thank you! Would love to own this one. Guilty as charged!
Unglued is on my reading list for 2013. As I am trying to be more aware of my actions as a mother and wife I am finding that I come “unglued” at those around me, especially at my kids for things I don’t like in myself that they are learning from me. Would love to win this prize pack and love reading your blog. Thank you!
I’ve been wanting to read this book, and the accompanying devotional sounds fantastic! Thanks for the fun giveaway.
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s amazing how important things seem in the heat of the moment. I’m still learning the importance of pausing, so I may think rationally. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Thanks for sharing your story! I struggle with becoming unglued too and I always feel so bad afterwards until I apologize. Thank goodness for God’s amazing grace!
I so love your honesty. Yes, I have been in the same (similar) boat and the pain from hurting your loved ones is difficult to bear. So thankful for grace and friends that love us despite ourselves!
Would love to have these! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Thank you for sharing. I have a “hot button” and when pushed I can come unglued quickly. Although my kids are grown I get angry and will come unglued if anyone says anything against my kids, primarily my daughter (a wonderful Christian wife and mother.) I’ve said and acted pretty harshly with my husband over this. It doesn’t show Christ like love to anyone and know the conviction you were talking about. Thank you for being so open.
Love On Christ,
Beverly
PS I shared your giveaway on Pinterest, twitter and Facebook.
Here, here Sister! Thank you for sharing your story of grace. We all have “those” momma bear moments (especially when it comes to our little cubs!). It’s such a blessing when we get to see God’s beauty in our lives even in those moments of our own ugliness.
What a great giveaway you and Lysa have put together! <3

Thank you for sharing stories like that and being so open and honest!
I’m lying here awake at 3:30 a.m. and I’m reflecting over my day I think about how I came unglued today and also how I slipped and fell into the way of the world. What does God give me but a nudge to read your post and bring me scripture that I need to hear and a story of healing- exactly what my church is focusing on. Thank you for your words!
Your transparency is refreshing & many of us are encouraged by you. Lovely to have you back blogging.
I have so been wanting to read Unglued. Would love to win this give away. Thank you for sharing this. I love your blog. Your so inspiring!
It was good to hear your story especially the restoration. May the Lord teach me to do seek restoration with family, friends and especially strangers that I come unglued with at times 🙁 And may He teach me to show the Love of Christ when it is directed towards me. This book sounds like a good read & challenge!
I have scone unglued a lot more than usual lately. Everyone in my house has been sick and the hardship of staying off work has fallen on me. My hubby and two kids have felt the wrath due to my stress. I just started following your blog (doing the Valentine’s challenge) and already you’ve been a blessing! Thanks for taking your time to so this for your followers.
My friends and I just started reading Unglued together. Thank you for sharing your story.
I would love a copy of this book sounds like a good read. The devotional will be a great addition to it as well. i have liked and shared it on facebook as well.
I just heard about this book. I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday about this very subject and how I wish I had had more tools for dealing with this when my kids were younger (all of them are grown now). However, I still think it is a worthwhile subject for me even now. I did share this on facebook and also sent this link to my friend. Thanks for your honesty and transparency.
Thanks for sharing your story! I’d love to win this set. Thanks for the chance.
Wow, sounds like I need to win this giveaway.
I am currently doing this book with our bible study at church, and it has been life changing for all of us so far. Thanks for doing this giveaway! I hope I win so I can share this with someone else who would be blessed as well. 🙂
Confession, becoming unglued is my biggest fault, heck my nickname in my family was dramaqueen and crybaby. I’ve learned to take better control as an adult and morther but it is a daily struggle for me. I’m a very emotional person and fall apart easily. I’d really like to win this. Good luck to everyone.
This sounds great!

Great thoughts and I love the honesty. I’m reading The Cure and it talks about the different masks we put on. So often, we put on a great face, yet inside we are screaming a different story. Makes me think. I need to read Unglued!!
This sounds like something I need.
What it says about me that I am waiting for an apology from someone who came unglued at my daughter this week and went on from there. Thank you for encouraging me to seek God in this trouble.
I so need this study =/. Very convicting.
Love Lysa Terkeurst. Our ladies bible study did Made to Crave not too long ago, and I would love to include this as my next personal bible study. I know I much too easily become unglued so I am sure this would be very beneficial to me.
Oh I really need to read this book!
I so need this book. I work at a christian school and see people become “unglued” all the time. As much as I hateto admit it, I myself fall into this category. Thanks for your post today!
Sounds like a great book – I love Lysa’s Made to Crave book – fighting that battle myself right now. 🙂 hope this give away goes well!
FYI – shared on Facebook too! (Before I ever commented actually. )
I’ve been wanting/ needing to read Unglued since it was first released. Would love to win. Love your blog and love to see how God has blessed your ministry. I started reading back when you still had the lafy taking a bubble bath clip art, my how WLW has changed. 🙂
I am always blessed by your honest sharing. Thanks for being real and inviting all of us into your life.
Sometimes it is so hard to be transparent…. Most of my Christian Life i have lived”unglued”. I was never discipled, and we all know how important that is, so i would spend the next 15+ years floundering around trying to figure out what thus Christian walk was all about. I can still use all thehelp i can get.
Thanks for the chance to win! I pinned the giveaway, too.
I just finished leading a bible study of the book Unglued at it was fabulous! Can’t wait to read the devotional:)
Loved this blog today! Forgiveness, love, grace & mercy! So glad you’re back!
Courtney, I just love your heart! As I read your Church story all I could think was “oh, how I’ve been there”! You have a good friend & I love that she would come to you before communion & make it right. Then to experience God’s mercy & grace and the reminder we are indeed dependent on Him at all times and we’ll “never have it all together”! Hard sometimes but beautiful! Thanks for the opportunity to win this package!
In Christ, Amy
Pinned & facebook’d!
Thank you for sharing this! I came unglued during bible study a few weeks back. Those ladies showed me such grace. I did apologize the next week. I’m glad I’m not the only one with those kinds of moments. 🙂
I am on such a journey seeking out and finding God in my life and making Christ center. This book looks like a good supplement to the bible study I am doing with my pastor!
Heard Lysa speak in September – a godly woman who is a hoot. I am typically a stuffer, but I have had my moments …
Thank you for sharing your heart in this post. I’ve become unglued so many times and knowing that others who have walked a longer walk with Christ have also become unglued is just such a blessing to my heart – to know that I’m not alone. Praising God for His grace and love – and for sisters like you who let us know we are not alone in our struggles! God bless!!
Thank you for the great giveaway opportunity!
Oh how I appreciate your willingness to be humble and share. I can’t wait to read this book
Loves this book and am really excited about the devotional!

I would love to read these books. I have been trying to learn how to not become unglued and/or how to handle it and make it right when I do. Perfect timing for books like this. Couldn’t get the share to work on either Facebook or Pinterest 🙁
thanks for being a real example of how God works in our hearts, as sisters. When one falls down, the other reaches out a hand to help us up…even when we don’t know we’ve fallen. Blessings on you and yours, dear sister.
I would love to be entered in the giveway` we all need help with our unglued emotions~thanks!
Praise God for his Grace and Mercy. Were only human and we all come unglued at one time or another, but God in His wonderful way brings us back. God bless you Courtney!
Love and Prayers,
Jenny
This post was perfect timing for me!! God knew I needed to see this and I am so happy I did!! I am excited you are doing a give away- but even if I do not win I will be purchasing this book to read! I just love knowing I am not the only one, sometimes it may feel I am the alone in those feelings. Makes me feel better knowing its not just me!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks for being real. As believers in Christ, we all fail, but have the blood of Christ to cover our sins, failures and mistakes. When we come unglued! We don’t have to live in guilt.’
Oh I forgot to mention I shared this on a few sites to help out some fellow women who may need this as much as I had!!
Again,
Thank You!!
Loved this message. I have definitely been there and done that
Love your blog and consistent encouragement! I would LOVE to win the Unglued package. Thanks for all you do!
I wold love to have this devotional. There are so many times I feel like I’m living my life through emotion and coming “unglued”!
I too have done things I am not proud of. I learned from my past what I need to keep to myself and so forth. Life is better with calm attitudes than without.
When I first became a Christian I thought women in the church were perfect Christians, wives, and mothers. It didn’t take long to realize my faulty thinking. Appearances are deceiving. After 16 years as a child of God, I have come unglued many times myself. I am not proud of it but thankful for a God who forgives and gives us nuggets of help from His Word to overcome these times. I am always thankful for women who share the truth about living the Christian life. May we all seek to grow closer to God in 2013!
i would love a chance to win!
thanks for doing such a great giveaway!!
~ashley
Thank you for being so transparent. I’ve had to go to someone before and ask forgiveness.
Thanks for sharing your imperfections and giving a reminder of God’s amazing grace.
Can’t wait to study this beginning next week with my sisters in Christ.
We all have those days where we wish we could take back what we said
Love this blog and Lysa T.!! Thanks for the chance at this give-away!
I would love to win! This sounds like something I need!!!
I love your blog!!! It is an encouraging faith filled time for me in the morning when I get to read.
Wow, this may seem a wierd reply for a giveway but what came up for me as I read your post was how this situation could have a lesson for you. What if your friend was showing up to help, and in turn model for your son, what it is like when we have not met the standard set? Yes, it is about service, but if there were “rules” to follow and you were a “rules” follower than why would it upset you that she is upholding the rules? This could be a great learning experience to release you from the attachment that you always following the rules and make an “A.” You are loved even when you haven’t met a standard. We are always loved, it comes in many forms. Just my thoughts…I honor your honest sharing.
Sadly, I think this has happened in one way or another to all of us. Thank God for true Christian friends that help us in our walk with Jesus. You do inspire me Courtney. Thank you.
Thank you for this encouraging post and your witness for Christ.
I’ve had my own unglued moments lately…with the hubby. *gulp* would love a little help here.
Thank you so much for this post…have missed them so! I appreciate your honesty and could definitely identify with the UNGLUED moment!

What a wonderful giveaway. 🙂
Life offers many opportunities to come “unglued!” I think as we struggle with our fleshly nature it will be this way. I appreciate the giveaway to provide a tool to help combat the flesh and live more like Christ!! 🙂
I come “unglued” all the time! I love love love what you are doing for other women! You all keep me so encouraged as a mother and wife on a daily basis. I look forward to my time on your blog every morning. God bless you always!
Your words were an encouragement to me this morning. Thank you. This book sounds awesome.
I do love the wisdom that you express in your blogs. And this one posted to Facebook!. It’s refreshing when God takes something that we do and turns it into a reminder of his grace and forgiveness.
Courtney, A great story of redemption. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the give away. And thank God that he remembers we are all but dust…

I haven’t bought this book yet, but it is def on my list. It must be great for marriage as well, as often spouses come from complete different backgrounds, and issues are handled much differently.
I just came unglued last night at my husband because of his response to our kid’s toys 3 hours after we discussed him dealing w/PTSD. 🙁
Thank you for being honest and real. This would be a great way to get my bible study girls back together!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your honesty, sense of humor and grace. I love reading your posts! The giveaway is very generous!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!! This is definitely something I need to work on also. Thanks for sharing your story! 🙂

Thank you for the real words you share in your blog. I always look forward to receiving it and seeing what encouragement/words you have to share.
Thank you for being so transparent.
I can totally relate!
I too have come “unglued” at church, VBS to be specifically. Thank The Lord for His forgiveness, which shows us how to forgive others. Even when the other person is at fault and in the wrong, we must forget our pride and make things right.
Hope to win this. It would be very helpful.
THis is a great book, I have been wanting and praying to start a bible study with this book. Courtney your website is amazing and very encouraging. So thakful for your love for the Lord.
Would love to read this book! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
Thank you for being so transparent about your unglued moment! I believe we all can relate to your story because we can all come up with an unglued story and probably several of them. My recent unglued moment was after my car accident. After several days of not sleeping well due to the discomfort in my neck and back coupled with a nursing infant and several solicitors coming to the door in one day and when finally the house was quiet and both girls sleeping at the same time for the first time ever and I finally lay my head down for nap when I heard ANOTHER Knock at the door. I yelled from the couch and said “What is it? (In a loud and rude tone). I opened the door and saw our mailman and his daughter standing there with our Girl Scout order. I immediately felt embarrassed and such shame. Of course I apologized humbly and profusely and explained the background information in hopes they may understand my unglued moment. Of course, they forgave me, but every time I see our mailman I think of this incident, and I have to remind myself that I have been forgiven of that and many more unglued moments. I pray for more self control in the moments I feel like I am just going to lose it. I haven’t read the book Unglued, but would love to so I can apply what I learn in the hopes that I will be a better wife, mother, daughter, friend, neighbor, and witness for Christ. Thank you for the Giveaway opportunity!
This is the best giveaway I have seen in along time… Fingers crossed I win~~~
Thank you for your humble honesty!
Lysa is an inspiring author! I would love to read her new book! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity. I usually come unglued with my strong willed child. The Holy Spirit is working on that!
Unglued, Boy have I ever!!! I definitely need this read__
I pinned this too! Under “I Love This Blog”
Am on a personal journey right now. This book would be a great help. Best of luck to all
Courtney,
Thank you for your wonderful blog. You always say the right thing at the right time. I think we have all come “unglued” over simple things that mean a lot to us at the time. Thanks for sharing! God bless you and your service!!
I think we’ve all been there 🙁 Some of us more than once. I’d love to be entered in your giveaway! 🙂
Would love to read this!
I could use this giveaway since I find that I come ‘Unglued” all too often recently. Life has been a little crazy and I am working on getting my eyes and heart focused back on God and living for Him not others.
I appreciate your emails. I am enjoying sharing positive feedback from my husband!
I would love to win a copy of the new 60 day study. I am currently leading a study with 4 others on the Unglued Book. Love it!
This morning I read an email from a dear friend inviting me and some other ladies to do a Bible/book study. Our first book? You guessed it….unglued. Then I see this post. A nice little nudge maybe? As a career mama, squeezing in this activity will be tough but I’m praying that God will guide me and open doors.
I love your blog and would love to win this!
I posted this on my facebook page!
This is a great example to others, me included! Thank you for this post.
I am a recent follower to your blog. While laid up after hip surgery I found your blog on because someone pinned something on Pinterest. I absolutely the the idea of being a Proverbs 31 women and thank you for your emails and continued encouragement.
Love the honesty in your blog.
Whata wonderful book and a lovely author!
I have been looking at this book for my kindle. Sounds like I might need it more than I thought! 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway! Love Lysa!!
Our emotions are tricky. You can often feel that you are wrong while you are in the middle of coming unglued, but feel powerless to stop. So thankful for God’s grace and the grace of others when that happens to me!
I shared the giveaway on my facebook page.
saying I forgive can be an easy thing, but doing it, showing, and meaning it is the hardest. How we come unglued in front our Christian friends and worse those who are not saved is not a good example to our Father. I like the comment about glue and that is God’s GRACE.
Thank you for sharing your “unglued” moment! Boy, did it sound familiar…sigh. Thank you for this giveaway! I did a small group with her Made 2 Crave Book and it was phenomenal!
would love this for a friend of mine who is struggling right now!
I posted to twitter, Facebook and pinned it on Pinterest.

I started getting your emails just before you went on leave over Christmas, I am glad you are back. Your emails are so uplifting and helpful. I would love to read the book Unglued because I have also came unglued both at church and at home.
Thanks for sharing what God lays in your heart. I was blessed to read when you had to take a break, because its happens to me and I feel it’s God telling us to slow down. I would like to be considers for the devotional you will be giving away. I’m inNC just like Lysa….lol
I have really become unglued alot lately, losing our jobs, moving hundreds of miles away with nothing but clothes and restarting my life all over again. I thought I would deal with it alot better having my family around and more time with God. I just am not getting to that point maybe this could give me a better perspective on things and help me catch myself before I unglue on some poor unsuspecting soul again. I know I am not right with God or other doing this .
I have the book and I’m excited to read it. I would love to win this and share with a friend! 🙂 I tweeted, pinned, and shared this on Facebook. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great prize!
I pinned the giveaway!
This book sounds right up my alley for these days! Thanks for the giveaway!
I want to read this book!!
The verse comes to mind how we’ve all sinned & come short of the glory of God. But thank goodness for that mercy ,,, and grace,,,, and forgiveness. I’ve had to ask for them all!!! Are you sure that was you fighting for the sticker -could have been me!! LOL
Hi there, I have really been enjoying reading your blog. Thank you for being honest and writing from your heart. So many things we can relate to. I am doing the GMG Luke Study and Dig with my children. What a blessing that has been. Thank you, I would love to read one of the books.
We’ve all been there at times! In your honesty you draw people towards you and Christ, and give us hope that Christ loves us even when we lose it. Thanks for keeping us focused on Christ and the Word through your online ministry.
I have been coming “unglued” more and more since the birth of my 3rd child a year ago, and know I need to break this cycle before it gets worse. Would love to have this book/devotional:)

I read this blog and so need to read Lysa’s book. I’m a young stay at home mom of three girls 4 and under. Some days I come unglued WAY to easy. I’m hoping I can get this book soon so I can dive in for some insights. Thank you for all you open honestly Courtney!

Would LOVE to win!! Just found your blog a few weeks ago and started following you on FB! I am in a weekly study of Unglued at my church, but I do not have the book – so what a blessing to win and have it to go along with! 😉 Thank you for your amazing posts, keep shining his light!
This book is on my list to read this year!
I pinned the giveaway, but wanted to say thank you for sharing your story I am sure it was hard to do.
How fun Courtney. And what a blessing you can be to another sister in Christ. This sounds like a great read that I could apply more right here in my own household starting with my husband – boy you want to talk about raw emotions and then with 6 children, 3 of them being homeschooled. I would love to be able to share this with my two oldest girls 16 and 13 – (you want to talk about raw emotion – whew!). Not to mention the coffee. Maybe Hannah(16) and I could get a coffee and discuss these important things.
I am so glad I found you. This week has been very encouraging as I minister to my husband – God is so good!
In Christ alone,
Lisa
I tweeted it too!
I asked for this book for Christmas but didn’t get it. 🙁 Hoping I win this giveaway so I can finally read it! 😉
Thank you for this. It spoke to me because I too often let my emotions get the better of me. I think Lysa’s book sounds like a must-read for me.
I have come unglued more often than I would want to admit! Unfortunately I live my life unglued 🙁 thank you for your honesty! Thankful for people and friends who understand what forgiveness is!
I pinned this on my A Woman After God’s Own Heart board.

Thank you for your blog and the GMG bible study! I happened upon your blog on Pinterest and I am hooked! I am doing the Luke study and I love it. It is such a good way to start the day! Please consider me for the giveaway! I can never get enough of God’s word, it fuels my soul and lights a fire in my heart!
I love waking up to your messages!. I have come “unglued” on occasion! Would live the book and other gifts. Thank you!
Thank you for your ministry. I enjoy following you, and I would love to be entered for the giveaway!
Oh, this has happened to me! And it’s so humbling to realize that I’m not as spiritually mature as I *think* I am. I’m trying to be an example of Christ and his love, and then one day I’m sleep deprived or grumpy and my sister-in-law (whose salvation we are praying for) pushes me over that edge… the sad thing is, it’s never worth it. Worse, I feel guilty that I am setting her back in finding her place in the church, because she sees me, a Christian, acting this way.
Anyway… thanks for the giveaway!
The devotional sounds AWESOME!!
I came unglued with a sister in Christ after a stressful Sunday with too many responsibilities. This post was very timely for me! God is good!
Glad you’re back! Would love this giveaway!
Sounds like a great giveaway, I’m in!

Thank you for your blog. It is such a blessing! Yhank you for this giveaway, I just shared it with the massesmon facebook.
Thank you, and shared with the masses….sorry i did not proofread. In too much of a hurry as usual.
This post was at a “God Ordained” time in my life…My husband is a missionary pastor at a church plant, working with college students (we currently live 1 hour away to take care of my husbands elderly grandmother) there are days that the glue really does not seem to be holding, but it is encouraging to know that it is not just me…and a great reminder to take those steps to make things right when I come ungluded. Thank you so much for your post and you honsety.
So many people are looking for comfort and hope and fellowship, myself included. What is great about your blog is that you are always striving to do better and follow Him more closely, but you are also always humbling yourself and admitting imperfections. It is truly inspiring to read your thoughts and follow some of your experiences. It is so hard to admit but WE ALL COME UNGLUED. Thank you for all that you do!
I have seen Unglued at Family Christian, and never taken the time to pick it up and find out what it is truely about….seems like I’m always rushing in for music and back out. I can’t wait to add this devotional to my list. I am a Traveler’s wife, homeschooling Mom of one daughter who lives miles from civilization. I come unglued DAILY. Thank you.
Loved your blog post. This book sounds helpful!
I haven’t heard of Unglued before. I would love the chance to win this. I am pinning this on Pinterest.
Thank you so much for sharing your story of coming unglued. I have too often lately come unglued on my precious family. I believe reading Lysa’s book would really help me when my emotions go crazy.
I would LOVE to win this giveaway!!! I have only read some of her book as I had borrowed it from the library and then didn’t take time to finish it before I had to return it! I would love to actually own it because I definitely deal with coming unglued!
Tried to post to facebook, but got an error. I will keep trying.
I loved reading your story and your blog. So often it is easy to get caught up in the rush of the world and yet Christ states simply my yoke is light, my burden is easy for you to bear. We make living so difficult in this world. Praise God for His grace and mercy. Thank you for the give away.
I loved Unglued – as a woman who stuffs in public and explodes at home it was so nice to hear truth from another person owning her stuffing and exploding tendencies. What a great giveaway!
I have gotten so much encouragement from this site.I look forward to the email each time:)
Great giveaways. I am reading Unglued now and going to see about getti g a Bible Study going at my church. Look forward to reading the Devotional sometime. Thanks for the chance to win. Posted on facebook as well.

Ok I am rambling I love your blog and I will pin this and post on my fb and I have a fb page for stay at home mothers and wifes to connect to other women. https://www.facebook.com/Wife.Mommyismylife?ref=hl
It’s happened to all of us Courtney…we’re all a work in progress. God is faithful though, even when we regress. Be blessed! ~lyn
Great post – I’m going to share it with women at my church. Thanks!
It is encouraging to hear eachothers failures and successes in Christ thanks for sharing!
How funny! I just heard about this book from a friend. I was looking for our next women’s group study, and and she suggested that we do this book. I haven’t read it yet, but after hearing her tell me what it’s about and how wonderful it is…and now seeing it on this blog, I think is God’s way of telling me that this is our next study. Having spent a majority of my life letting my emotions be in control, and now trying to help others avoid my “crazy” mistakes.. I can totally see how this book would be a blessing to so many. And it seems like it will tie into our current study on the 4:8 Principle and help us to keep “renewing our minds”. Has anyone used this book in a group setting? (I have about 20 women) Any suggestions?
oh wow, this is a great giveaway! I’m a big fan of all 4 of you in the picture!! =)
kathy k
I have been wanting to read this book. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this!
Sounds like a great resource to have on hand!
Thank you for sharing this, as it kinda hit home for me. We all have those moments, no matter how hard we try to stay composed. Thank you again.
“Unglued” is my middle name!! I can become unglued over the most ridiculous things. Especially if I feel one of my family members has been wronged. You really convicted me today, Courtney!! I just had an “unglued” moment with a teacher. I feel I now need to apologize to her. Even if I felt I was right and she was wrong, my attitude and attack on her was very un-Christlike and very disrespecful to her as my daughter’s teacher. And the horrible example I set for my daughter!! I cringe even thinking about it. I am going to get ahold of this teacher this morning and make things right with her. Thank you for your blogs. They always speak to me where I am at at that very moment.

I have heard so many good things about this book. I would love to be able to read it:)
I came unglued last night. Here at home, but to the people that matter most to me. And why? Oh, it is so frustrating at times. Thank you for sharing so we don’t feel we are the only ones. It’s such a blessing to have women who are open and honest with each other.
Thank you for sharing. I learned from you today.
I became unglued at work. I’m a nurse and it gets very stressful at times. I was hurt, I cried. Now I understand that it was the stress of my work that led me to act that way. I’m looking into changing that type of nursing. Please pray that I make the right decision as it will involve me working on Sundays but it’s a job I’ve always wanted. It’s closer to home, it’s less stressful and it wil give me the opportunity to be off more days with my kids do that I can continue to homeschool them. I also have a passion for sewing and if I take this job, I can promote my business more. JennieSews.com
Check it out. Tell me what you think. There are times I just want to quit bring a nurse and just pursue my dream but I feel that the time will come, I just need to keep on.
I have seen this book and heard great things!! Would love to read it and possibly start a small group devotion!
Love your blog! You’re so honest and I can relate!!!

Even with this Valentine challenge I have felt for the first time how easy it is to become unglued many times a day and how difficult it is to praise to even think of one praise ! Why!!!!! I am striving to become a better wife for my husband and I think this devotional would be helpful to have and it complements our challenge these next few weeks as well. Thanks for all you do.
I really enjoyed your blog. It is amazing how easy we can come unglued over the smallest issues of life. Thank goodness we have a gracious, forgiving God that allows us to act the fool and then start over!
Kim
Glad you are back!! This book is on my wishlist!! Great giveaway.
Sounds like just the book for me! Thanks!
I feel like I am always coming “unglued” with my family. Would love to win this!
I appreciate your story and can relate – I have had instances similar – where I knew I was right, but completely mishandled the situation. Thank you for the reminder of how God’s grace saves us and our relationships.

Enjoyed this post, Courtney! It is so easy to come Unglued, at the smallest things. What a wonderful give-away. 🙂
I think Lysa wrote this book for me then realized I would need a devotional too!! Can’t wait to read them.
came “unglued” on my husband two nights ago….still cringing over my behavior.
thanks for your honesty and for allowing God to use you in this way.

I did the Unglued study with my woman’s group. I would love to have this devotional .Thanks!
I love your blog – you are so honest about your feelings and things you have done – where most of us would have hung our heads and not shared with anyone! I am desperately trying not to become “unglued”. My daughter has a huge exam coming up in May, which at the tender age of 11 is unfortunately too much of a huge deal where we live. We are all struggling to deal with it calmly and full of faith. Just this morning it got too much for me after I dropped the kids to school. And, I started to doubt her ability AND Gods’ ability to help her through! Opened up my bible and what did I see but Mark5:36 where it says “Don’t be afraid; just believe” What a wonderful calmness that soothes the soul. He’s always there for us – if only we just BELIEVE!
I’m currently reading Desperate – would love to be entered for the Unglued giveaway!
I’m in need of Lysa’s book because I come “unglued” more times than I’m proud of.
Thank you Courtney for being transparent with your readers. I think all of us have put ourselves in that spot before, where we come unglued over something so small, but yet at the time it seems so big! You are a blessing! Thank you for allowing God to use you to speak to the hearts of your sisters in Christ! I would love to read this book!
Thanks for offering this giveaway, Courtney! I got the book from our library and only made it half way through when I had to return it for being waaaay overdue! What I did read helped me tremendously… But a daily devotional would help me so much keep it in the forefront of my mind every day.
Just started this week reading your blog. I love it, and would love to be drawn for the unglued items. I will be sharing on facebook and pinterest.
Awesome giveaway and awesome gift to win. Thanks for the opportunity to win such an great gift. Thank you!
Boy did this hit home! I would love to win the giveaway!
Know what you mean.
Shame is a great and horrible teacher.
Thanks for sharing. And Jesus, thanks for saving.
I’ve been wanting this book so bad for next study!! Will be sharing on FB as well! 🙂
This devotional really touched my heart! Too many times in this life I find myself coming “unglued” about things that really don’t matter. Thank my heavenly Father that I can ALWAYS look to Him to glue me back together according to His plan. Just for today …. I will remember to “GAZE at The Master and GLANCE at my problem!” Be blessed today !
I had to scroll quite a bit to be able to comment. Your blog left me in tears today as I thought of my own broken and lost friendships at church. Those relationships are invaluable to me. Yet, I find when I become unglued the hardest person to forgive is myself. I know what I’ve done and said even if others don’t and I know God sees that. Coming to terms with the mere fact that I am going to come unglued from time to time can be tough as I want to do “it” perfectly. Yet, I know what I learn from those unglued moments; forgiveness is always available, humility, and God’s unending and amazing grace. I need those lessons but pray I hurt others less and less as I progress down this journey. Thankful for your share and inspiration to keep writing.
I’ve heard great things about this book! I would LOVE to win a copy!!
Love your honesty!
First of all, I love your blog. It comes along at just the right times and brings me back to my center. Thank you, and bless you for that. I would like to be entered for the give away. Reading this post I could not help but to think about my cousin. About 7 years ago I became unglued about some family things and really took it out on him and his wife. I hope that if I am blessed enough to win, I can start taking the correct steps, with God by my side, to start communicating with him again and rebuild that relationship. Thank you for considering me.
I would love to be the winner of the Unglued items! When I am done with a book like this, I always include it in our church library. As the librarian, I am always on the look out for nice items like this 😉
I tweeted. https://twitter.com/leeleeisblessed/status/294437394495717376
Refreshing to know that i am not alone with coming unglued, thanks for sharing this story and so many others to help us to understand that we all share the same struggles sometimes. This study would be nice to do with a group at church.
Can I just say that I totally did this yesterday? Thank you so much for your honesty. The Lord has definitely been showing me my selfishness that has led to anger (and ultimately coming unglued!) so much lately. Thank you for your reminder of Jesus’ overabundant sacrifice and grace for us through the taking of communion–Matthew 5:24 in real life. God is good!
This book sounds great I would love to win!
This really hit home. Would love to win!
Thank you for sharing your story about coming unglued. It opened my eyes to something that I know I need to do but am afraid of being rejected. I am sure everyone has came unglued at some point in time in their life.

I would love this book! I need help to stop becoming “unglued” with my kiddos. Thanks and I love your blog!!

Would love to have this. I can come unglued over some things so easily-then later I feel so “UGHHH!” Been trying to watch it and breathe more to avoid the unglued moments.
I am struggling with becoming unglued while doing school with my kids. I have reached my limit and am debating sending them to school for purely selfish reasons. (Sending them to school would not solve the heart issues involved here.) Thank you for this giveaway.
Nice giveaway!
Hello, my name is Christy and I come unglued WAY to often! I have wanted to start this series for so long!
What a humbling article you wrote. Who hasn’t come unglued at one time or another. The most important thing is to keep growing in the Word so we do not come unglued. But, the next most important thing is to make it right when we do come unglued. Blessings
I pinned this giveaway.
Wow- how inspirational! I’m a newcomer to your blog- but it has been such a blessing to me already! Please enter me in this drawing. I would LOVE to start a Women’s Bible Book Club using this book. Sometimes we as women get so busy that we forget to not only take time for ourselves, but we forget to take our time with God. Wonderful resources for women. Thank you!!

Dear Courtney,
Boy I had to fight back the tears on this one! Thanks for sharing a not so perfect moment with us. We are all on the same path towards grace, and I don’t know about you, but God’s grace has certainly gotten me through not so perfect moments.
God Bless You Dear!
In Christian Love,
Gerri
Thanks for sharing. If we are honest we have all been at that place at none time or another in our lives. I sure have; more than once! The most recent was with a friend of 14 yrs and recently with Gods help I just mended a 4 yr rift with a family member who I came unglued with. It crazy the effects it has on our lives and the ripple effect it causes in others. God bless the ministry you, Lysa, Renee and others have when your ministering to the heart and soul of women who strive to be Christ like.
I have heard so many good things about Unglued. Thanks for your blog!

You and your blog have been such an encouragement to me. I am a stay at home mother of an 8month old boy and a 3 year old boy. By God’s grace and your words of encouragement, i have been able to step into my role as a stay at home mom with more boldness. 🙂 Because of the season i am in with 2 youngens, i am not always able to have the quiet time i would like…the scriptures that you post on facebook along with the blogs have been so helpful and just enough to help me through my day. Thank you! A few of my girlfriends have read the unglued book and loved it! I have been wanting to read it as well!! So thanks for the giveaway and for all that you do! God is so AWESOME!!! Proverbs 31 & Women Living Well has been a tool God used to prepared me for a huge storm in the last few months in my marriage. It’s amazing how God is not only there for you daily, but he protects you and prepares you for future events. Allowing us to build more of a testimony to Glofiy HIM. So UNGLUED is a understatment of my life lately. 🙂
THANK YOU for following God’s directions, being real, and an example of a true Titus Woman. May your day be filled with many blessing and prayers to all on this blog.
I also shared on Facebook 🙂
Thank you so much for your honesty. It has really touched my heart. I had a similiar situation with my daughters music teacher at Christian School. So thank you for being filled with the Spirit and sharing with us so we can walk out of condemnation and walk in grace.

Hi Courtney! Thanks for sharing your story. So many times we fail miserably and hate to admit it to others. I have a tendency to run my mouth without thinking of the consequences or what they may cause others. I must must must read this book…and I feel that so many others are in the same shoes as we all are at times. I pinned it and facebooked it to share with all my friends. I think this may also be a great devotional to do with the my life group. After all, us sisters in christ need to stick together and help each other out! I want to thank you to for your blog! You have really inspired me to keep moving forward even when there are mountains on top of you!

Thank you so much for your blog! I pray daily in thanksgiving for finding this. It has made me really focusing on making the necessary changes in my marriage and family life. A true blessing. I would love to be entered into your giveaway. God Bless and thank you for your service.
I suffer terribly from “foot in mouth” syndrome. I pray asking for the words…I repeat in my mind over and over what I wish to say…AND THEN…nothing like I thought I would say. Emotions boil…I am awful about avoiding confrontation so back down…then in my mind really unravel. I SO could use this giveaway!! Thank you .. And God Bless
Please enter me for your drawing! I so need to clamp my mouth shut more often!! Thanks!
This is what we need more of in our sisterhood of believers, focus on using our words to encourage and uplift instead of break down. I have to admit, I struggle with it and have recently noticed my pre-teen daughter beginning to struggle with it, as well. I look forward to going through this study with her. I hope more and more Christians transform into encouragers who are not speaking through fleeting emotional flare-up, but with wisdom and love.
Would love to win! Thank you for considering me.
Have read and loved the book. Have been feeling a pull to organize a study…would love to win this giveaway ♥
With 7 kids sometimes it is hard to NOT come unglued, but to have tools to use when those moments hit would be a blessing. And to be able to share them with my children would be awesome also.
On a personal note, I have been following you for about a year and I absolutely love you. Your insight mixed with humor is a blessing. Thank you for all you do.
I would love to be entered into the drawing. Thanks for such an amazing website 🙂

I have a 15 year old son who has his driver’s permit and will be getting his driver’s license in August. I am constantly finding myself coming “unglued” as I deal with all the emotions attached to my son growing up. I am at a phase in my life where I need help with learning how to deal with my emotions in a positive way rather than coming “unglued” at the most inopportune times. I would love to receive this giveaway as I am sure it will give me the encouragement and tools I need to aid me in handling my emotions in a productive way for all who are in the line of fire. :o)
Thanks for being so honest. please enter me in drawing.

I am loving your blog and would love to win the Unglued basket
Thank you for sharing. I have a passion for justice, which can lead me into situations very similar to yous. I was cut to the heart as I read about your interaction. I realized that my passion, which I believe is God given, can be used in a much more godly fashion. I most certainly have been there, done that. Thankful for His grace and patience! Obviously, I’m sure I could benefit from the package. Praying God sends it to just the right person!
I feel blessed to have found you and your blog! Thank you!
Yes, I cried! I need this book and journal. Win it or not, it’s a must. I seem to come unglued too often.
What a wonderful giveaway. I would LOVE to win this. I feel like I come unglued every day. I love your post as well. Such truth and transparency in your words. Thank you for being real with all of us.
I think I need to read this book. 🙂
This is a book I have been meaning to read. I tend to let my emotions get the better of me quite often.
I agree, we need to change our thoughts, and it will be easier for our words to be godly. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you, oh Lord, My rock and my redeemer.” Amen!
I pinned this!
I love and enjoy every day`s encouragement!

Love your blog. Thank you for sharing your life with other ladies.
To win such a gift would be priceless in my life. Your story brought tears to my eyes and made me reminded me of the times I’ve come “Unglued” over little things and need to change my ways. Thank you for offering this giveaway. I look forward to your blogs daily.
I read Unglued and I felt Lysa was looking over my shoulder and writing everything down. I am a little better after reading this book. I still have my ugly days as I call them. But I know I need to ask God to forgive me and show me a better way. You hang in Courtney, you keep reaching for God each and every day. We’re all human and we all make mistakes this side of heaven. God sees your heart. Take a deep breath and see where God wants you to go from here.
I thank you for your honesty & humility to your blog readers. I realize that being in any leadership position can bring oposition, but I pray that the Lord give you the strength to do all he has called you to do! Continue Courtney, we are listening & learning!
I want to thank you for making everyday a little brighter! You and your blog are a blessing!
Keep up his good works!! :*)
Thank you for your honesty – it is so great to know I am not the only one who comes unglued. Being a homeschooler, people are always telling me that they could never homeschool because they don’t have the patience for it. I’m always telling them that I never saw that one on the list of requirements. I am thankful to have forgiving children. Thank you for your blog and for showing us it’s ok to be real.
I absolutely love your blog. Thank you for returning this year! You have been a real encouragement! Can’t wait to read this book. It sounds like it’s right up my alley…
Thank you for being real!! We all have struggles and come unglued but praise God for His mercy and grace! I love getting your e-mails! Thank you!!

Thanks for sharing. We all have times of coming unglued, don’t we? 🙂 Would love to win something like this 🙂
My small group is currently reading Lysa’s book Unglued and we all love it. That’s really saying something because usually, whatever bible study we do, at least one person in the group doesn’t like it.
I tell you this hits home with me!!!!! I am an emotional gal….who gets hurt easily. I have found myself coming unglued more times then I would like to count. Letting my emotions get the best of me and not handling difficult situations with the grace of God. Would love to read this book and go through the devotional. I love when the Lord uses other believers to show us that we are not alone in our short comings. And there is grace!!!! AMEN!!
I would love to be entered into the drawing for this giveaway! Thank-you so much for offering it!
Keep on writing, Courtney. The world is a better place because of the light you are not afraid to shine in your corner! You are an encouragement to many!
Courtney,
Thank you so much for blogging! You have been such an encouragement to me over the past year. Would love to win this giveaway! I am always looking for a good read and this seems right up my alley. I am guilty of becoming “unglued” many times and allowing my emotions to take over. Much love!
Just came across your blog today after a friend shared it on facebook. Thanks for your humility & honesty. We all have those moments and it’s so refreshing to read about your experience & how you experienced not only God’s grace & mercy, but also your friend’s grace & mercy. Wishing you many blessings in your ministry!
Thanks so much for sharing these resources! I have been thinking about getting Lysa’s book for quite a while. Thanks also for sharing in such an encouraging way. Love your blog !!
Thank you for sharing that.
I shared this on twitter. Hope I can win, this looks to good!!!
Wow…did I need to hear this today….you have encouraged me to overcome an issue I just had this morning. Thank you.
This would be a fabulous read!!

New subscriber to this blog and I have enjoyed everything I’ve read so far. Unglued is on my wishlist and can’t wait to read it!!
thanks for your encouraging blog…I find myself coming “unglued” more times than I would want which is never is my goal! I am working hard with God to change my Thoughts, then in response will change my Emotions and my actions. God’s Grace is Amazing and I’m so Glad we have it.
I come unglued whenever something is out of my control. Would love this package!
This book looks great enter me in the drawing! God bless
I would LOVE to be entered in the give away. I do not have a facebook or twitter account .
Would love to win this great set of resources!!
I would love to read this book. It seems that I come unglued every Sunday morning before church trying to get the four kids ready! I finally recognized what was happening and prayed for change in my attitude and for rest so that I would not send my kids into church pained by some thoughtless word I had just said! Thank God for women who listen to his leading and write what is needed!!
Please! I have heard so much about this book. I would be thrilled to win the set!
I’ve been wanting to read this book, would love to win a copy!
Thanks for your transparency in sharing this story. I could totally relate. I would love to learn more about my emotions in Lysa’s Unglued resources. It is an area I know I need to work on.
I have been hearing many great things about Unglued! I would love to win the giveaway and begin reading it and learning from it. Thank you for the post and for always sharing your stories that touch out hearts! God Bless!!
I have been living a bit unglued for awhile. I desperately want to add to my family, and time is slipping away–I am 44 years old, and my nearly 4 year old has even been praying every night for a baby sister. I have been doing everything I can–I do not have a huge pile of money to do intensive fertility treatments–and I had a miscarriage last year to show for it.
I know God hears my prayers, but this has been so discouraging. To top it all off, my sister in law–whose family went through the motions to get my brother and their son baptized in a Catholic church, but never go to church and have no relationship with Jesus–is having a baby, despite all her health issues and her very weak cervix. I gotta be honest–this really feels like a dagger that pierces my heart. It seems so unfair.
I am more than willing to adopt a baby–but, again, I don’t have a huge pile of money, so I am unable to even start the process of looking into adoption or even fostering (which I do not think we are emotionally able to do). The price I’ve found for the home study (required by every state to adopt or foster) by a social worker locally is $2000–and they have to come in my home, which is a terrifying prospect for someone who is as disorganized and has the terrible housekeeping habits I do. Adoptions cost between $4000-$25,000 depending on the circumstances. I MIGHT be able to find $4000 in a whole year’s time, but most adoptions cost much more.
So, I have been a LOT unglued. I am trying to keep my faith up, but it is difficult. I want to see my little boy’s prayers answered in a miraculous way. If any of my sisters want to pray for us–I know I need it.
Thanks so much, Courtney, for being so honest about yourself. At least I am not the only unglued girl running around!

Could use some “glue”
I am so thankful I took the time to read this. I had a seriously unglued day yesterday. Thankful God’s mercies are new today and ready to start again and see what God has in store for me and my family today. Thank you for sharing, your words were what I needed to hear.
Wow, your post really made me think about some of my actions. Please enter me in the drawing! Thank you!
Love your honesty!
Oh man I would love to win this prize pack!!!!
Thank you for sharing your “unglued” story about the sticker – we’ve all had a moment I’m sure but thank God ~ HE is a God of grace and mercy!
I shared this giveaway on Facebook and Pinterest! Hope I win!
Thank You for being REAL and sharing your unglued moment with us all. We all have unglued moments at times yet the one thing I try to remember is WHO I AM IN CHRIST and as I rise in the morning not to forget HOW I SHOULD REFLECT MYSELF through the day. I AM A CHILD OF THE KING. God Bless!!
It is so hard to apologize, especially when one gets heated in the moment and feels like it’s not their fault. I am learning to let go of my pride and apologize to make things right, even when it wasn’t just me in the wrong. Thank you for your honesty and story.
I would love to read Unglued. It is something I could definitely benefit from.
Thanks for your honesty; sadly, we all have these stories. I’d love to win.
Thank you for your transparency. I pray for superglue many times.

Blessings to you!
With triplet boys who just recently turned 5, I have plenty of opportunity to come unglued. Love your honesty because church is one of those places where the enemy loves us to come unglued. Just getting our families through the door without killing each other (lol) is a major accomplishment.
I would love to add the devotional to my collection. and gift the book to a friend
I giggled while I read the title “Unglued” thinking I’m gett’in “unglued” all the time ( : If I don’t win I’ll be purchasing this book.
Always appreciate you!
Lysa was the first of the AMAZING women I learned about ~ each of you have a special talent, ability and a Gift from God
yes I would love to study in Unglued and have the Devotional, tho I am older I still have trials and a past I am trying to put away but most of all simply life my life in a better way with Gog and to Glorify HIM
wow I rarely win but sure worth a try or two or three
Sonja
As a youth minister’s wife, I am ashamed to admit I can relate to your story in more situations than I can count. Please God for reconciliation and mercy! I would love to dig into this devotional with a delicious cup to coffee!!!
Thanks for being transparent! I am learning to humble myself before The Lord and cast my cares upon Him because He cares! He will fight those battles for us.. We just have to pray and ask. My son is in a cast and he’s 2. I thought for sure he’d get his cast off yesterday, even the nurse said so! So when doc came in and said two more weeks.. I was disappointed! I have a 6 year old, 4 year old, the two year old and 8 month old and my hubby is in Korea for a year with military! I definitely can have unglued moments but as I’m learning to trust God, it’s becoming easier to cast my cares on Him! I humbled myself to the doctor: smiled and said, yay, Ben! Just two more weeks!
Courtney, I have been reading your blog for about a year now and I can’t tell you how much it has helped me. I feel God calling me upward to be a better wife and Mom to my kids, and your blog has been a big part of His work with me! Its hard when you can’t always “make things right” with someone, and its especially hard when that other person is your Mom. I’ve been hearing over the past 2 years how I haven’t been “honoring her” as the Bible instructs. Last summer, I went to her and apologized for hurting her and asked her to please explain what I did, because I don’t understand what I did wrong, and I can’t change something that I can’t see. She told me that she didn’t want to talk about it, that she just wants to move forward. I know that since we cannot truly reconcile, that we can only move in a different direction. Its awkward when we see each other. Thats when I read “Unglued”, and I have learned that I need to repsond the right way, even when the other person doesn’t.
I would LOVE to have the unglued devotional after doing the study I think it would be a great addition.
Thank you for being honest and sharing your unglued moment. I like how Lysa puts it, these moments are just God’s way of bringing things to our attention that we did not know were there. Sometimes it takes happening at church or around friends for us to realize it. Oh how I have shared in those moments too many times! So thankful for His grace and the power of forgiveness!
This aging grandma is shamefully unglued because of errors in judgment and seeds sown in ignorance. This would be so helpful in my fight to be set free. Thanks so much for this blog. I so appreciate your honesty.
Thanks for sharing honestly! This book sounds awesome, I’d love to win!
I am thankful for your transparency today! Thank you for sharing from your heart and blessing your readers. I’m excited for this giveaway too. =)
Oh goodness sometimes it is so hard get a grip. I really need this book right now, I feel like my seems are on the verge of busting open in so many different relationships, and I can’t put my finger on why. It’s hard to keep my emotions in check most days. Calgon take me away!
Not coming unglued can be a real struggle. Kudos to you for your transparency and honesty!

Isn’t Satan so good at tripping us up causing us to let the littlest things unglue us!?? It just really makes me mad…… thank you for sharing your heart Courtney – you always inspire me!!
Grateful for your honestly. Love Lysa’s writings. Read her Made to Crave last year and was greatly inspired.

What a great reminder for humility. I’m guilty. Thanks for this blog. Hope to read the book, winning it would be even better. Thanks for “serving” us, your readers. I’d give you a sticker.
This is a book that I have been wanting to read for awhile. I definitely need it!
I would so love to have a copy of this devotional!! I’m the most emotional person sometimes Nd can definitely relate to coming unglued sometimes! Thank you, Courtney for being so honest about your struggles. It is so encouraging!!
So ironic about coming unglued at church. That was my experience this past Sunday. In fact, I blogged about it here: http://aheartofone.blogspot.com/. I’m trying to overcome child sexual abuse/incest that happened from about the age of 1 to 11 by my father. I remembered through therapy in October. My therapist abandoned me just 8 weeks after my abuse came to light. I know my God is faithful, no matter what. I would love to get the book, thank you!
I would love these unglued items. This is something I am learning to deal with and seems like a devotional that would really help.
What an awesome giveaway! I think we all, unfortunately, have those unglued moments. Thanks for being so honest!
Unglued. How many times has that happened in my life thank you for sharing your experience. It’s always encouraging to know we are not alone in our responses to life challenges.
I read this and realized I am already ‘coming unglued’ and worrying about my sister making a scene at my son’s upcoming wedding. I am stopping that conversation in my head now and thanking God for putting these words in front of me to read this morning. Timing …. oh, yes, perfect timing. God’s timing. Evan and Rachel’s wedding will be perfect – I have nothing to worry about. Thank you.
I sent the link in an email
I posted the contest link on Facebook
A coworker and I just finished the Unglued Bible Study — the devotional would be a great follow-up to it!
Would Love to win this ! Of course, I completely come unglued at times. Thanks for your blog!
This would be a great thing to win! Reading your post has made me want to read this book even more than I already did!
Thanks!
I pinned the Giveaway on Pinterest and posted on Facebook. EVERYONE can benefit from the “Unglued” wisdom!
Well, I tried to post to FB – but kept getting a “server error”?
What a perfect word for me today. I had my own “unglued” moment this morning in the kitchen with my husband. As I drove the kids to school, the Holy Spirit kept prompting me and I soon called my husband to apologize….so hard to swallow my pride!!! We had a sweet conversation and then I logged on to read this blog. God is so gracious and kind to not only show my my need for Him, but also to point out that I am not alone. We are all in this mess together and He can shine through our brokenness. Thank you so much for your authenticity!!
I’d love to win and get to read and apply Unglued to my daily walk; great giveaway!
I’d love to win! Thanks for sharing!
I too am very thankful for God’s grace in the gaps of friendships where we have become unglued. Thanks for sharing an unglued moment:)
I love the unglued book! I’m almost finished reading it! I keep telling my friends and family about it. I would love to win this and give it to someone!!
Thank you for being so transparent! It is real women like you that are honest enough to share what their lives are really like that are a true inspiration to all of God’s people.
I would love to win a copy of this book! It sounds exactly like something I need!
I needed to hear this message, Thank You! I shared this on twitter, and facebook. God Bless you for all the work you do to inspire people. You have helped me to know Christ better through your blogs, websites, youtube videos, etc. I feel blessed, I am a Christian but as time goes on sometimes we get stuck in a rut and don’t make the time for building an intimate relationship with God. IT takes alot of time and effort and I know I slack at times. I also, know when I make the time to pray daily, read the word and apply it to my life it changes my outlook on life and my day it makes it brighter. It also, helps those whom I come in contact with because I am a more pleasant person to be around.
Unglued, the story of my life right now!! Army wife, mom, small business owner, Kids worship leader: I have so many opportunities to come unglued! I would love to win this because I so desperately need to get a handle on it. I shared you on FB and I tweeted it!! Have a blessed day!!
i so want to learn how to deal with my “ungluding times”
Hi. Just subscribed to your blog a couple days back. Really looking forward to being inspired by your blog. Too many times I have become “Unglued”! As it stands I became unglued on Monday with my husband and wouldn’t you know it, God led me to your website! LOL He truly has a sense of humor. There is so much to catch up on and I am looking forward to it.
This Proverbs 31 Woman is quite unfamiliar to me. I am so unfamiliar with my femininity and who I am supposed to be according to God and who I think I should be! So confused !!!! Don’t want to give up, but sometimes…..
Thanks for sharing! I would love to win! 🙂
Blessings!
I have never left a comment before so I wanted to let you know how much of an encouragement you are to me. How real, open and honest you are about your struggles God uses so very much in my own life and I know in many others as well. I hope to continue leaving comments and getting to know you more personally. Thank you so much! Please enter me into the giveaway and I did post your email on Facebook to let others know :). Hope you have a blessed day!

Thanks for a wonderful giveaway offer!
Loved reading this post. So glad you attacked the spirit of religion head on….both with addressing the rules of what exactly qualifies as “service” for your kids and you and your friend forgiving one another. That religious spirit is very active in our churches but, you confronted it! When confronted with religion I come unglued at times too. I can alway do a better job of keeping my emotions in check!
Thank God for His grace on us. Thanks for sharing.
I would love it win this!
Awesome post, we have all been there. Thanks for your transparency. Your words are encouraging.
Would love to read this book! I tend to come unglued at the worse possible times! Thanks so much for your transparancy, Courtney. I enjoy your blog so much! I’ll share this on FB!
Beautifully written! I have felt very unglued over the past year. I have seen this book many times, but haven’t had the opportunity to pick it up, so please enter me in the drawing!!
Thanks for your transparency in sharing your unglued moments. I think most of us think we are the only ones who have those. But when we are real…it encourages others and makes us feel less alone at the same time. Thanks again…and hoping to win!!
I loved the book. It has helped me make imperfect progress. I would love to read the new study.
Thanks for sharing your testimony about coming unglued.
My favorite quote from the book is “feelings are indicators, not dictators”. I can’t wait to get my hands on the devotional!
I have had many moments where I’ve come unglued! I knew that this book was for me when I first got the email from Proverbs 31 Ministries when it was being released to order ahead of time. I have been unable to get one though so far. Now that I am pregnant with baby number 4 I have had more unglued moments at home and work than I’d care to admit. Whether I am drawn for this give away or not I am totally getting these books. I love getting your emails! 🙂
Shared on Pinterest and Facebook
Loved this story! I am ashamed to think of how often I come “unglued”! Thankful for Jesus who “glues” us back together!
If I don’t win this giveaway, I will be going to Mardel and buying it today! And Courtney, I am the queen of “if only I could turn back time and keep my mouth shut”! I pray everyday for the mind of Christ so that I will have the “mouth” of Christ!! 🙂
Boy do I do this! ha! unglued, that’s my middle name…it’s something I struggle with, and I know others do too. I always say “Oh, i have my dads attitude…” and I know that’s just an excuse…I apologize alot!
Shared with my GMG group!
Love the quote by Lysa.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this package – in need of a new devotion book 🙂
Thank God for grace when we become “Unglued”!!
Shared on facebook!
Sounds like an amazing devotional. I would love to win! Thank you Courtney!
I’m so happy you’re back and sharing once again! I’m looking forward to checking out Lysa’s book and devotional “Unglued”. I’m a very high spirited person and have a tendency to come “unglued” easily. I loved where you’re describing God’s amazing Grace. washing over you in that very moment of communion and forgiveness…a perfect reminder…especially in those moments of “ungluedness”! 🙂
Blessings on your day!
I am in need of this book! Just waiting for paycheck day to buy it from amazon…so I’m really excited to see that there is a drawing for it!!
I just got done reading this post, Amazing…Really touched home for me…I realized that this has been me too. I have come Unglued for small or ridiculous reasons. I would love to win this giveaway.. Thank U for always giving all your hearts.
God has really been dealing with me about coming unglued… on my kids and my husband… They don’t deserve it and I have had to come to all of them and apologize (even though my kids are under 6yrs old, they need to know that it is wrong). Thank you for the chance to win this!
I am planning to read this book and devotional, and it would make it even more awesome if it was a freebie win:) I look forward to reading both either way!
I would love to win this devotional set! Thanks for posting!
Hi, new to your page and would love to win the giveaway.
I can think of SO many occasions where my actions would qualify for this term – “unglued”!! The best and only option, is exactly what you did – “fall on the sword”, so to speak, humble yourself and apologize…..as a result, I end up doing a lot of apologizing!!
Courtney, thanks for the opportunity to win the awesome gift!!!
Sherri
I have this book on my nook and would love to have it in print! I have to write in it and mark it up! Would love to win this!
great giveaway!
WE ALL HAVE OUR UNGLUED MOMENTS. I tend to have a few extra each day/night. My hubby lost his job at 17 years with the same company in November. He has since found another job but is working 16 days away from home. (6 1/2 hours drive time away from me and our son.) We have a 7 year old son, I work full time as a librarian and now it seems every 16 days, I’m a single parent. We hardly get to talk to my hubby and our son has melt down moments when he is really tired and wants to Skype with daddy and can’t. I am myself personally learning how to as a mom, to try not to have those “unglued” mornings where it just ruins the whole day. This book and gift pack and bible study would really help me. Love Lysa Terkerst, I saw her at the Women of Faith Conference a few years back, then I saw her a Feminar about 2 years ago. Awesome and definately a true mom and a person I look up to live like. I pray one day I can be as strong as she shows her faith in adopting children and being momma. All us momma’s need a little break and sometimes we need an “unglued” moment, I’m just trying to learn how to do mine in private and get it over with. Much love and many prayers to you all, Candi (Texas)
Thank you for sharing this story! We all become unglued about such important-in-the-moment-but-silly things. I am so looking forward to reading Lysa’s new book and devotional! Thanks for the opportunity to win one 🙂
My ladies small group at church went through Unglued together the month it came out. Such a phenomenal book!! We were also blessed to be able to attend a conference and hear Lysa speak live. She has such a powerful ministry to women, as do you Courtney! You’ve also been a blessing to our group! I’ve been looking forward to getting the new devotional! Thank you for the opportunity to win!!
Hi Courtney…I just shared your awesome link on FB.
Blessings on your day!
Kim
You always have the best giveaways. Thank you! 🙂
A close friend has this book and said it is awesome. I have been starting a collection of books in the category and becoming a more Godly mother and wife and it would be so exciting to have this book to add to that collection. Thank you Courtney for the blessing you are to so many women.
Thanks for sharing. How many times have I become unglued over something so trivial! Would love to read this book!
Oh, Courtney, I am there with you. Thank you for this post, it’s amazing how God uses us to encourage others asking for His wisdom & encouragement as we struggle with life. Thank you, you are my blessing today! Oh & would love to have the book 🙂
It is always a comfort to find out that we are all human, having human moments, but it is even nicer to know there are others out there that are like me striving to be better, and go beyond our humanness…I am not alone 🙂
Blessings+
Her book sounds like just what I should be reading in my continuing journey towards being who God made me to be.
I love your honesty and humility that pours out into your writing. So glad I found women living well.!
I would love to win this book!! Lysa is such an inspiration, and I know here book will be too! Hoping I win!!! 🙂
I also pinned this and shared on Facebook! Hoping to increase my odds 😉
We are homeschooling for the first time this year. To say the least, there are lots of “unglued” moments going on around here. I would love to read this and apply it to my days. Here’s hoping I win! *wink
I so need to read this devotional! Since I found your website I have been reading a lot more. I finished my 1st Sally book 2 weeks ago and am now reading Desperate. What a joy this book has been to me 🙂 With 2 small children I finally feel like I am not a failure for not always having it together.
What a great reminder of how much we need grace! And how we need to walk in it daily – it is such a constant, constant work to try to not be “of this world.” Thank you for your honesty and for the giveaway. It looks like a fabulous book!
I have been Unglued more than I would like to remember! I would love to read the book! Excited about the contest. Thank you!
I would love to have this devotional and Bible study!! I have a group of girls that love, love, love Lisa and her words of wisdom from God’s Word.
I was encouraged by your words today. I’ve worked at a Christian school for 15 years and I’ve come unglued a time or two myself. I’m so glad our forgiving Lord has given us a way to make things right when we do wrong. Keep your eyes on Christ!!
Thank you so much for your transparency! I can totally relate to some of those embarrassing unglued moments, unfortunately!
Thank you so much for the chance to win this. This would be such a blessing in my life right now! : )
you ladies are such an inspiration….thanks for the ‘giveaway’, too 🙂
Does it only count if we’ve become unglued at church? I can’t remember ever doing that at church, but I sure have done it at home. I admit that I am neither a wife or a mother, but I’m a sister and a daughter and I’ve become unglued at the ones I love the most before 🙁
Wow! I would love to read these. A devotional is a great idea as a companion to the book.
Thanks for sharing your Unglued story. I would love to win this!
We are thinking of doing “Unglued” for our ladies bible study. This would be a wonderful package to have!
That’s such a great idea!!! I’ll have to look into this…
I shared on Facebook!!!

Thank you for sharing the “uglies” of life. Praise The Lord for grace & mercy. Would be fun to win this giveaway.
Pinned it!!
I would love to win this giveaway. I also LOVE your honesty!!
Wow! Your testimony really resonated with me. I am struggling with pride and time and finding God’s will for me and my family. I fight with the feeling of entitlement that says,”I’m super busy and stressed so others need to make allowances for me.” Trying to acknowledge the problem and fix it without beating myself to a pulp. Well, I guess I can’t fix it…but I am willing to see God transform me by His power. I am anxious/hopeful to see what the “me” would look like without all the messed up pride.
Thank you for sharing.
Transparency is so effective! (Posted on facebook too)
I would love the Unglued Devotional: 60 Days of Imperfect Progress. I have always wanted to read her book Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions.
I Pinned it and posted it to FB.
Thank you for your open honesty. All of us need to be open to the leading of the Lord for full comfessions of sine repentance so that we can be totally forgiven and freed. Your dear friend showed great humility and being open to the leading of the Holy Spirit is seeking you out and making things right.
posted to facebook!

Oh, dear, I needed to read this today. I have been struggling through the flu, while taking care of my nearly adult daughter, who has a stomach virus, and now my hubby has decided he has a head cold and needs to be home on bedrest as well. Guess who has to fix meals still, keep up with the constantly growing pile of dirty laundry, fetch tissues, drinks, crackers, meds, etc…? Oh, AND keep up with the 4 younger children in the house, and sterilizing everything several times a day so they don’t catch this as well! Not the first time in my journey as a mother, and surely, not the last, but this time, it is on my very last nerve. I have become unglued many times over the past week, and not only with my family.
I would love to win this giveaway! I can use all the help I can get when it comes to restoring and preserving my relationships with God, my family, and my friends. Thank you!

Your story about coming “unglued” touched, spoke to my heart in ways that I hadn’t expected! This is the first time I’ve read your blog and I immediately went to sign up to receive it all the time! I would love to receive the “Unglued” prize package! 🙂
Just added to Pinterest
What a wonderful give-a-way! Unglued is such a nice way to say ‘lose it’! Seems that when life is full, we are stressed, yet when we have time on our hands, we feel all alone…..Unglued is a factor in all aspects of our lives. To learn how to go to God first is a very good challenge. Thank you so much for taking the time to touch so many of us!
Wow… praying about an “unglued” moment with a friend that happened over five years ago. The “resolution” of that moment was to have her tell me she couldn’t be a close friend anymore… apologies were made and accepted, but a friendship was, for all intents and purposes, dissolved. I’ve always felt that all that could be done had been done… but it makes me sad to think about again. I blew it – confronting on something the Lord had been laying on my heart for months, but in anger and frustration.
Would love to win this treat of resources to help in this area that it seems we all struggle so much in!!
Wow another great giveaway. This could not have come at a better time in my life! Pinning and haring on FB too!
Sounds like a great book – would love to win.

I almost always become unglued when my boys decide they are each other’s worst enemies… which is all too often! It’s these moments when I struggle in my quest to bring Jesus to them. When all I want to do is cry out and yell as the tension builds in my throat, I need to just raise my hands and fall down on my knees!
Thank you for this opportunity… and for sharing your “unglued” moment. God always knows exactly what you need to hear 🙂
I want to enter into the drawing. Would love to win!!

Courtney: Thank you so much for your ministry and your transperancy on becoming unglued. I can so relate. Love your blog posts!!!
I came unglued at church just before Christmas. I am the pastor’s wife, children’s minister, and plan 98% of the events the church has, even when it was someone else job. Well, this was one of those Sunday’s where a group had planned lunch to celebrate Pastor Appreciation. They gave me the date and I put it and the information they gave me on the annoucements. The day comes and I am trying to teach Children’s Church. The third interuption comes about we dont have this, that and the other. I finally loose it! I came unglued on this lady, whose kid is a pain. I told them who planned this and that I had nothing to do with it they need to go bother them and what did they want me to do leave 30 kids unattended to to grocery store and cook a full meal for 150 people? This of course was not said nicely and in front of children that I am trying to teach to be Christ like. I am thankful I did not tell her what a brat her kid was while I was venting. Well, they have not been back to church, since and I cant get in touch with her. She even deleted me from FaceBook.
This sounds amazing and something we all need to work on!
You’re honesty is so refreshing. We all make mistakes. Learning to fix them is what heals. May we all learn to walk with the King!
I could definitely use help in this area! Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to read the book!
Wow. I love your story about coming unglued. I come unglued more often than I even want to admit. This book would help me so much, especially with the 60 Day Devotional to go with it. Thank you so much for this giveaway!

I am taking A holiday from homeschooling tomorrow (Friday) so that I don’t come unglued when my husband travels next week and returns home with two guests. Yes I feel grouchy when I am tired.
LOOKING FOWARD TO RELAXING TOMORROW AND TAKING CARE OF ME! I am was very impressed to see you take a break from blogging. You are a great example!
Thanks for sharing your story!
I love your honestly and willingness to share your Unglued moment. I need this book! I’m happy to have found your blog!
Great giveaway!
I LOVE Lysa’s book Unglued! I think I could stand to read it every day of my life, over and over and over again… Her devotional would be awesome to supplement the book!
I think the last time I came “unglued” was when my fiance told me his mother asked us to change our wedding date because she didn’t feel like requesting time off of work! We have since talked about it and are working through the issue. Wedding planning is never easy, from what I’ve heard! I would love to be entered into the drawing 🙂
P.S. Love this blog!
would love to win this giveaway. I feel that I am at a point in my life I am going through serious post partum depression, my husband said it seems to get worse with each baby, we have 3 great children, After my second daughter was born 1 month later my mom was sick and diagnosed with brain cancer. She was so close to Sophia (baby #1) who was 17 months at the time and was so excited that Alexis (baby #2) was born on her birthday. My mom passed away february 7, 2010 at 4:33 am in my arms. I thank God that I was able to be there with her and hold her it was something that I really wanted to be there wth her when she passed. I miss her terribly and miss her guidance. My mother in law is great but she is not a mentor to me that I am looking for. I have been praying to God that I find someone that could help me be a mentor . Thank you for giving us the chance to win this book. God Bless You and your family
I so enjoyed the Unglued study and would love to have a devotional.. as a mom of three ( 2 here on earth .. and one who lost her battle with cancer but is enjoying her heavenly home) and learning the ropes of empty nest as my other kids are at college.. so enjoying the blogs and website .. blessings to you
For the last several years of my life I have been drawn to strengthen my relationship with God. The way that He finally grasped my attention was not the most painless or simple: I was in an abusive, dishonest, adulterous relationship and had just had my, now 3 year old, daughter. I have always been quite strong willed and believed I could go it alone. WRONG! Considering the fact that I was feeling defeated and knocked to the ground so often, I decided to stay there; just to get up onto my knees and pray… I prayed and sought Him and guess what! He delivered me, from that horrible situation that I had shimmied myself into and from my own hard headed thinking!
I have since been blessed with a wonderful God fearing man who would give me the world if he could, a gorgeous little girl, a wonderful job, and beautiful home! I also was led to start as a full time student at Colorado Christian University, and will be starting the BSN Nursing program this May! As I have said, I have been beyond blessed in my young life (I’m 27), but at times feel so overwhelmed, maybe even stressed! I have recently found myself short with my spouse, my daughter, our almost adult dog, extended family, my responsibilities, and even myself! My temper often gets the best of me, I find myself raising my voice and using a condescending tone often, and I know that I am treating those around me poorly…. I just do not know exactly how to change…. I do not want to go on in my relationships like this!
I am in acknowledgment of my faults and have been seeking Him even harder, knowing from past experiences that He is the only way to completely heal. I am especially interested in this devotional as I am a VERY busy lady, with school, work, mom, wife, etc…, and have been yearning to find a way to make His word a regular part of my day. Also, with the next 29 months of my Nursing school career guaranteed to be more chaotic than thus far, I feel that I could use every tool possible! Thank you for hearing my story, or at least my life in short!Thank you also for the prayers I’m sure will follow <3 God bless!
Thank you for this honest story. I absolutely love reading your blog, and this story really touched me personally. It’s nice to know that everyone has their Unglued moments. Thank you for the giveaway – I’m sure whoever wins will benefit tremendously from this book!

Can’t wait to read Unglued!
I have bcome unglued many times, too many to recount. But you know, sometimes you just don’t want to be the good one anymore. Sometimes turning the other cheek just doesn’t seem to be an option that day so we become “ungluded” Thanks for sharing, would love to win the giveaway, but okay if I don’t.
Oh my, I can so relate to this post. Would love to win this giveaway!
Me = Unglued in so many ways……………
I loved your post today! I can sure relate . I would love to read Unglued and would really enjoy the devotional!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Nicole
It is so comforting to hear I’m not the only one who becomes unglued over “silly” things! Looking forward to the giveaway!
It takes a lot of courage and humility to put your “ungluing” out there for all to see. Thank you for sharing this. It went straight to my heart and I cried. I appreciate your transparency and ministry.
Shared on Facebook as well! 🙂
This is such an issue for me! I have been wanting to read the book for a while now and the devotional would be a great addition.
I’m not a big reader but after reading this post, I think my heart would benefit from reading this book! Thank you for all you share.
Courtney,
I’m glad you shared this honest post. I’ve came unglued a time or two (actually many more times). This sounds like a book I could benefit from.
I would love a copy of this book! Thanks for sharing such personal stories!
I erased everything I just wrote. Thank you for sharing this story. I pray whoever needs it the most, wins. 🙂
I am guilty of becoming unglued for some really silly things and not doing it when I should. My emotions get the better of me. I would love to win this prize.
Pick me, pick me, pick me! 🙂
I would LOVE to win this giveaway and thank you for sharing your unglued moment!
It’s really got me stopping and thinking about some situations in my own relationships that have come up lately and whether I need to apologize…leaning more towards yes! OUCH! That’s a hard pill to swallow! Anyways, can’t wait to see who wins! THANK YOU!
This was one of the most helpful studies that I would like to share with so many people.
I feel I am at the verge of becoming unglued in a situation and was thankful for the reminder of what it feels like on the other end of becoming unglued! Would love to read the book!

Love this story! We all have come unglued at one point or another. Sometimes it’s nice to hear others do it too. Love your blog you are real encouraging to me. Thank you so much for sharing a part of you and what God does in your life.
Would love to read these books– could really use it in our family’s “season” of life.

Being transparent with your readers is a blessing ;-). Thank you for the opportunity to enter your contest.
Your blog and site are such an encouragement and inspiration. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. You will never know how many people are blessed through your service!
I think we all come “unglued” at some point in our lives and it always seems to be in public. Thank you for being so honest and real. We need more of that.
I can so relate to this “unglued” moment. I’ve lost it at church with a sister in Christ myself. Not my shining moment. Thanks so much for your vulnerable sharing.
Wow, Courtney! This post about coming unglued at church plus your post about the30-day Valentine challenge really hit me between the eyes and convicted me! I have come unglued with my husband, my Valentine, of all people!! Sometimes, I think we believe that those closest to us will be able “to take it” because of that relationship. Such heartwrenching taking for granted of that person as well as deeply hurting them that is! I don’t even have the words for how my Saviour covers, drenches, bathes me in grace every day – – yet, I have the nerve to treat my most precious relationship in such an unforgiving way. Your latest 2 devotionals have not only hit home but spurred me to look at myself & my actions in a clear light and DO something about it. Oh, and “welcome back”!
Such an amazing book! I’ve been encouraging other ladies I know to read it. Not just the unglued ones!!!;) I would love to read the devotional as well.
thanks for sharing your story, nice to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t always behave well!
Thank you so very much for your blog. I look forward to reading it. It is refreshing to know that I am not the only one coming “unglued” and just “tired” of everything and discouraged. I’m a single mother of two and one of my children has special needs. Thank you for the reality check that just because you are married doesn’t mean that things come easy and being married doesn’t mean it’s easier to “keep it together”. I have been divorced for 10 years and it hasn’t gotten any easier. Sometimes I think that if I would ever remarry then things would be easier, but since reading your blog and site over the past few months, I have realized that although being married would be different, life would still throw barricades in my way and I would still have to fight to move them. My life would still be pulled in many directions. So thank you for doing what you do! Thank you for encouraging and giving others the tools to live a more balanced and fulfilled life.
I tweeted the giveaway for a second entry! 🙂
I so loved reading your blog about Lysa’s new book and I see so much how I could benefit from reading this. I am searching my heart and asking God to show me the “ugly” in me so I will not come unglued…..
I, too, have come unglued with a DEAR friend AT CHURCH and in front of others. We since made our peace as I did have the heart to realize I was wrong and I told her so and I apologized. Thank you so much for how you help all of us. I am also thankful for Proverbs 31 series as I see to be a woman like that.
This book sounds very interesting. I don’t normally enjoy reading self-help books, but this one sounds like something I can relate to!
I have borrowed this book before from the library, but would love an opportunity to own it! That has been a pitfall of mine for the past few months…
Thank you for being such an inspiration and for being “real”. Hope to win this book!
Would love to win this book. I am 21 years old and want to be an awesome mother and wife someday. I think this book would help 🙂
Thanks for sharing!!!! i love reading your posts!!!!! God Bless!!!
I would love to win this book!
Unglued!! That is me on so many occasions!! Praise the Lord for HIS forgiveness and for you sharing your unglued moment. There are times when I come unglued that I think I am the only one who slips. I love the blog posts and your facebook posts. they are an inspiring light in a sometimes dark world.
I have totally become unglued many times in my life, and I think of one particular instance which was just awful. I hurt a friend very badly in the way I expressed my opinion – I think I could’ve possibly done it in love, but instead I did it selfishly & in hate. Thankful that friend forgave me, but I always remember with shame the way I acted.
I was blessed by your unglued in church testimony. Unfortunately, I can relate. The grace given in our time of shame is a perfect example of how we fall short, but God never does. He loves us, not our behavior!
thank you!
Between caring for my kids and my elderly grandfather, and my job, I’m beginning to think my middle name is unglued! There are days that I feel like Hurricane Jennifer is destroying everything in her path because I am so unglued! I would appreciate and desperatley need the “Unglued” bundle.

This was exactly what I needed to hear (read) today! Thanks for your openness and honesty about your own failings. It helps us all be more open and honest.
Great blog! Emotions definitely can get in the way!
I SOOO needed the Unglued book! Realized so many things that never made sense, finally did. Change, change, change! Wonderful and awsome!

We all get “unglued” once in a while. But, thank God, we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus. I have nt read ths book but I would love to. Thank you for being honest and presenting this book to all f us.
#Guilty Thank you for sharing this. I’ve definitely had to tweet this one. I have a similar situation that’s been ongoing but it’s with my son’s football coach who is also a member of our church. I do not participate in communions because of this either and have tried to talk to him but he refuses to speak to me and I’m sure it’s because of the woman/man thing but my husband is deployed so I’m in that “he better figure something out” phase before I become #unglued ! *sighs*
Wonderful example of the power of grace. Thank you for your vulnerability.
Yep, tweeted!
I am a SAHM for a 3 and 6 year old and find myself coming unglued in our everyday routines. Dealing with strong-willed, independent children (who just want to be all grown up) is so draining when I’m trying to keep MY agenda. What I have to remember is that they are still my babies trying to figure out this world and have their own wants/needs. Praying for patience and gentle, loving guidance. I hope to win this giveaway and share it with my small group.
forgot to say I shared on fb 🙂
I really need this!!! I have always struggled with coming unglued but with having my fifth child i am struggling with it even more!! Thanks.
I had been harboring feelings against some one for 3 years….a few weeks ago @ church this person started back to joining our services….It bothered me….finally I felt so convicted that I had to pull them aside also & get it right! Thanks for sharing!
This sounds like a wonderful book! I am pinning it now 🙂
Grace is my new favorite word!! Thank you, Courtney, for being an inspiration in my home!!
Thanks for the opportunity. 🙂

I’ve come unglued with my children and have had to go to them and apologize. Praise God for the humility to recognize your faults and be broken over them. Many don’t experience the more excellent way because pride has so blinded their eyes. I’m glad your friendship wasn’t ruined and your children get to witness forgiveness in action. Love your blog!

I posted to Facebook! 🙂
Thank you for your honesty in your posts. We have all had moments like this, but I must say not all have ended the way they should have. I am so thankful our Lord is so forgiving of our stupidity. I would love to win the Unglued giveaway.
Thank you for sharing… I am basking in HIS GRACE today because I came unglued last night.
My flesh was fighting for its life…. and through GOD’s word and a chapter of LET.IT.GO. I was battle weary and still am today. But thankful His grace is sufficient!
Unglued – those words seem to keep coming up in my life right now: homework takes 3 hours, laundry never gets put away, a gym routine eludes me…. and there I am unglued and yelling or crying.
Hi I wanted to say that I found you through youtube and so glad I did!! your blog was exactly what I was looking for and I Love it ! Thanks so much for your passion of the Lord sharing your life with us in a positive way ! Have a beautiful day !!! 🙂 I am walking with the king !
Oh the irony… I just left school and the car parked next to me had 2 of these books in her front seat and all I could think of is why does she have 2 books? – is it that good she needs 2 of them?!
Crossing fingers I will get, if not, I may just have to go pick up a copy on my own!
Glad to have you back blogging 🙂
posted on fb! YIPPY! lets spread the word!
I love you post for today 🙂 I love how you were honest that sometimes you get upset to. It reminds me that you are a normal person just like I am! Thank you so much. I posted to FB Twitter and Pinned it!!!!!!!!
I think “unglued” has a become more of a habit than a reaction for me these days. I have three step-children and a 6-year-old son and all are homeschooled. My step-children are teenagers: 17, 16, & 13; boy, girl, boy. I have been a full-time mom to them for over ten years. In their world mama does not know best, in fact, she doesn’t know anything, lol! I downloaded a sample of Lisa’s book and it sure is encouraging to know that I am not alone. Who knew bath towels had so much power, lol!
Pinned and Tweeted! Awesome giveaway!
OH MY!! I am a pastor’s wife who needs this devotion! Ashamed to admit I have come unglued too many times!

Would love to win the Unglued package! I unfortunately find myself coming unglued too many times these days dealing with a teenager, pre-schooler and toddler! God must have know that we couldn’t handle another right now as we would have been adding a newborn to the mix next week had we not miscarried this past summer.
I tweeted about the giveaway.

Thank you for taking the time to share. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who comes unglued over something small, but it’s even more heartening to hear of women freely forgiving! 🙂
Oh, I had a moment at church when I was unglued this past week. I even said to myself to calm down.
I find my unglued moments remind me more than anything of my need for grace. Thank you for your transparency in sharing your unglued moment.
Thanks so much for sharing your heart. It is so wonderful when we are transparent with each other! I would love to have this since I become “Unglued” so often! LOL!
Welcome back!!! Oh the story you shared how it hits home here. I also shared your give a way on facebook.
I’ve been wanting to read this!
This books sounds so great! Love your website, btw!!
I think those unglued moments that we look back on and think “Really?! I lost it over that?”, are the most humbling. I have had quite a few recently and each time I am so thankful for grace, both from God and those around me.
I would love to win this book! I find Lisa to be very inspiring 🙂 I also appreciate your realness Courtney, as you are so open to share your struggles, which I can usually relate oh too well! I have found great encouragement and motivation to become a better person and stronger follower of Christ.

I have heard wonderful things about this book and can definitely relate to becoming “unglued.” I am excited ot read it – and even more excited at the chance of winning a free copy!
I have been wanting to read this book since I first heard about it. Would love to win this give away. Thanks for your encouraging words! This blog has been a blessing to me as a wife and mommy to little ones, and as I am serving on the mission field in Brazil. Currently we are in the USA. 🙂
I really enjoy your blog and this books sounds great…Great giveaway.
Are you including some glue in that gift? I could sure use some! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win.
Courtney, thank you for being so real and honest. As a reader I tend to think all the Proverbs 31 women and Good Morning Girls have absolutely got it all together and are being the most admired perfect Christian woman imaginable. It’s humbling to know I’m not alone in the world of unglued reactions. Just wish I could get my shameful, guiltridden unglued personality under control.
Sending to FB and pinterest.
I love you website! Please enter me into the unglued drawing! 🙂

We read through this book in our ladies’ book club at church…loved it! I think I need to go back and reread some of it, though. Had a rough morning with my nephew today.
So thankful for God’s love, mercy, and grace. Especially during those times when I come unglued.
Hoping to do this book study in a moms’ group!
I’m in the middle of one of those days where I feel like I’m about to come unglued. I want to lock my office door and not deal with people. I think I could use this book for encouragement.
I would love to win this drawing. Please enter me in the Unglued Giveaway. I’m tweeting this too-I’m new at Twitter!
Such an encouraging blog and the giveaway would be a blessing.
I would love to have the opportunity to read this book. I’ve heard many positive reviews. It will definitely be a source of encouragement!
We all struggle with our stress in the flesh. It’s how we respond afterward that shows our willingness to mature. This process and the willingness to admit our weaknesses gives hope to us all and glorifies the strength of Christ in us.
I would love to win this drawing! I have been on the wait list for Unglued at my local library forever! Thank you so much for this giveaway 🙂
Courtney, thank you so much for your ministry! I would be excited to win this giveaway!

Thanks for sharing!!!! I would love to enter this drawing. I’m going to try to put this on my face book….
Oh how easy is it with all those female hormones to become unglued!?! Have mercy on our husbands! I would love to learn more from Lysa’s book – its currently in my queue of books to buy – I just finished Made to Crave on Tuesday 🙂
Thank you for your transparency…we all struggle with our flesh! Thanks too for the great giveaway!!
This book is on my reading list. I’d love to win!
Thank you so much for your post of forgiveness. Forgiveness & grace is essential for being a good wife, mama, sister in the LORD. Thank you for your honesty.
This would be awesome to win. Thanks for the opportunity!

unglued so many times in so many ways. need help
Thanks for the giveaway! I would LOVE to win this pack! I haven’t had a chance to purchase that book yet… =) Thanks for your honesty as well!
Wow, talk about coming unglued. I completely came unglued at work today. The last few weeks I have been having mood swings, anger rages, and crying spells but I have been trying to keep control of it. The last two mornings I have not felt well at all and just tried to keep to myself but today my supervisor said something to me and I completely came unraveled. Before I knew I was yelling, crying and knocking over things. I had to take a long walk to pull it together but when ever I came back inside and saw him those feeling resurfaced, so I ask could I be excused for the rest of the day and came home. I have Lysa’s book but would love to have the devotional. Thanks for sharing your unglued moment.
Would love to win the book Unglued as I have had several moments recently of becoming “unglued” myself and it might just give me some encouragement in those week moments!
I shared on facebook! {Joy Burmania Cox}
This book is exactly what I need to read at this time. Thank you!
WHOO HOO! Count me in.
Shared on FB!
I would give the books away as a gift. I have already done the study and it is excellent.
Hello! Thanks for offering such a nice giveaway!!!
Please enter me to win!
Thanks!
P.S. If I had any of those other things, I would totally do them, but I don’t, so sorry…
Thank you for telling your story and exposing areas of struggle. I too struggle with becoming unglued, epescially when things do not go according to plan. And it helps to know I am not alone, and that help is available!
I am so excited to find your blog. Very inspirational. I LOVE Lysa’s books and would love this one.
I would like to enter the giveaway!
I would love to be entered to win! Thanks for the chance!
I’m reading that book right now in my small group and we love it!
This sounds like a book I would love to read. Even if I don’t win I think I will buy this book. Thanks for blogging about it!
I started reading this book (which I am borrowing from a friend) and I think she wrote it just for me! I became unglued (towards my husband 🙁 in a very ugly way two days after starting the book…then I kept reading while feeling like a failure and God so spoke to me through her writings! So I would LOVE to have my own copy of the book and all the fun extras! And if I don’t win, I’ll be buying my own copy that’s for sure!!
This would be AWESOME!!!
I shared on my Facebook (SlowlyNatural).
Such an honest writing of coming “unglued” so human and so easy to do when defending our child. I have been in the same situation but my experience led us to leaving our church. My life was turned upside down with pain and hurt. Now many years later the friendship has been healed and all is forgiven. It took a long time and a lot of pain to get where I am today. I am looking forward to reading this book and doing the devotional. I would be blessed to win the giveaway.
I’d love to win! I think we’ve all been there! This morning after enjoying a lovely morning at church with my husband (a youth pastor), I made a TOTAL fool of myself by being very crabby right before we left and snapping at my husband to hurry up in front of everyone. I’m so ashamed!
Thank you very much for sharing your story about the sticker. It really hit home for me because there is someone I need to make things right with.
I struggle constantly with coming ‘unglued’, only to lay in bed and stew over the the many failings of the day. Such regret and guilt can consume me if I just would have responded differently. I want to be one who shows love and kindness, not anger. This book and devotional looks amazing and just what I need. May God bless you, Courtney for the amazing ministry you have!!
It looks like a lot of us struggle with becoming unglued…myself included. 🙂
oh MY did I need to hear this Courtney! I recently have moved which means purchasing a lot of big ticket items like furniture. I have had several issues with pieces being delivered broken, getting lost by the shipping company, etc. that I became totally unglued! I’m talking about yelling at undeserving customer service representatives kind of unglued. Definitely needed to be put in my place by this. Thank you!
Coming “unglued” seems to be my method of rationalization these days. I come unglued, yell, scream, shout and then it all comes together by the grace of God, under His hand, He wipes away my angry tears and shows me the righteous response. Why can’t I get to that place where the righteous response, the response made in love, comes FIRST . . . .day by day, breath by breath, I keep on truckin’ – God will grow me under His precious guidance. I just have to remember: Breath by breath. Ahhhh, feeling better already. Would love this set – I am sure it will help me but it will also help my 3 daughters who, for some odd reason, come unglued quite often, as well . . . . .hmmmm . . . . .reckon they learn by what they see? Yep, gotta keep taking it breath by breath . . . . . in . . . . . .. out . . . . . . ahhhhhh.
I posted the giveaway on facebook as well 🙂
I would love to win this!!
Wow! Moved by your willingness to share this story! It happens to too many of us. I would love to get a copy of this book and devotional!!!
The beauty of your story is in the fact that though you came unglued, grace was present. That is oneo f the main things that I am thankful for… the fact taht when we fall short, we don’t have to wallow in guilt, but we can walk freely and boldly due to God’s grace and forgiving nature. I don’t typically enter giveaways, but I sooo would love to win the Unglued giveaway because I totally need it! My downfall has always been my response/reactions. I know that getting help in this area would bless all my relationships, as well as my soon-to-be husband (getting married on 6/28/2013)
I would love this pack! thank you for sharing your heart, Courtney!
I would love to win this book!
I sometimes feel like coming unglued at church; however, as a staff wife I have learned to stuff it. I have just started reading the book and am looking forward to learning the tools to handle my emotions more appropriately.
Oh how The mighty Lord knows what we need. I came unglued last night and it carried into this morning. I’d never heard of this book/ study and I’ve had two friends mention it in a post and then this giveaway. I think I need to read this! Thank you for your blog and GMG! It has been such an encouragement to me for the past three years! I’d love to win this giveaway!!
I would love this book and devotional. I have had it on my wishlist since it came out. But alas funds are too low to afford it (new things are luxuries around here).
I’ve been really wanting to read this book. The study looks amazing. I really feel as though God is calling me to work on this par of myself especially with one certain person so knows how to push my buttons. I think this could really help me:)
Oh me. Is all I can say. I have been in so many of those situations,, however, PRAISE GOD He has brought me to the Bait of Satan Bible Study, the Let. It. Go. bible Sudy and I am thinking I might need to do this one too. Our precious Lord and Savior has done a wonderful work in me,but He is not done yet. Thank you for letting us know we are not alone.
hey sister! i was just popping in to check on you – wouldn’t that be fun if i won!? 🙂 great prize package. and yes, i’ve had UNGLUED moments very recently that i’m not quite ready to share LOL love you!
I would love to win!
I would love this book:)
I tweeted.
@delaney523
I cannot remember the last time I didn’t come unglued towards a situation! I feel that is all I’m doing lately. Business is slow, finances are tough, the little one seems out of control and the teenager wants the world without doing the work! Its hard to look at everything without falling to me knees and pleading “Why me?” But I know that God won’t give me more than I can handle and while I don’t feel like I handle it very well most of the time, I am trying. Thank you so much for your inspirational blogs I look forward to reading them everyday!! God bless you!
Posted on twitter:)
Yay! I would love to win this!!
Just pinned on Pinterest!! 🙂
What a great give-away! I hope I win! =)
This is an awesome giveaway.
Courtney, I just adore you and your honesty!! And, love that while reading your posts I can go from “laughing out loud”, to tear-jerking it, ALL in the same paragraph!! It’s so relatable-thank you!!
Annette 🙂
Thanks for sharing…I can so relate to the situation…what a nice prize package!
It happens to the best of us Courtney. Thanks for your ministry.
I have had a really hard several weeks and unglued has been part of the process. Loved your story, sounds like you are a fierce mama tiger and you have an amazing friend and accountablity partner. Thanks for the chance in this giveway.
Thank you for being so open & vulnerable with us ~ and helping me to work towards being a better person every day!
Please enter me in this giveaway, and have a great day!
Lysa came and spoke at a Woman’s Event at our church a few years ago. We were all truly blessed! Looking forward to hopefully reading her new book. Thanks for posting!
I heard Lysa speak Sun night in Kernersville. She was fantastic. She so funny, genuine, and has much to offer. Would love the devotional!
Gotta love those moments where we are faced with ourselves! What to do in that moment? Each of those are our opportunities to let Christ be formed in us. Cause we just can’t do it within our own hearts. Love letting go.
I shared your post today. Thank you for it. Hope to win the devotional, but if not, I will order it.
My entire life is unglued! Huge LT fan 🙂
The funny thing a out this is Lisa is speaking in a conference in two weeks. I was debating on going.. This is the book she is speaking on!! God is so good like that! Please enter me in 🙂
I think we all come unglued sometimes. Sounds like a great book.
Thanks for your honest and sincere post…inspiration for us all to be more open about our own “unglued” moments. Winning this would be a blessing and I would love to get a women’s group together to study this devotional.
The last 2 years have been incredibly tough…I lost my 13 year old nephew in a baseball accident, lost my brother-in-law because of heart failure, and just this past Sunday lost a friend of mine in a car accident. Talk about coming unglued…I have been brought to God because of needing to lean on him for comfort. But there are times when I don’t feel good enough and I break!! My poor husband and 2 sons, they feel the blunt of it most of the time. I feel that the book and devotional may just help me because it will help me to see that I am not alone in the area of coming “Unglued.” Thank you and I do love your blog, your posts really help get me through my days…:)
Oh goodness…so many times! Unglued in church–yep–so many times! Wish I could rewind the clock and quick ZIP my mouth closed. But God is so good, He forgets when I’ve SAID things I shouldn’t say, when I ask for His forgiveness. I won’t try to remember the past, I will only look to the future and the SURE HOPE of His return!
our church just did 21 days of fasting and prayer. someone asked me at the end of the fast, what did God speak to you? to be honest ,it was hard to respond, i was always so worried about fixing everyone else ,God showed me i had alot of things to fix within myself. our ladies group is starting a bible study this month “what happens when woman say yes to God” by Lisa Terkeurst. its funny that as a wife and mom sister and friend we usually find it hard to say no to everyone around us but ,it can come so easy to say no to God. im excited and looking forward to this. please enter me in your drawing i would love to read this book and a gift card doesnt hurt either! 🙂
Wow, I am amshamed at how many times I too have come UNGLUED…each has been in essence a leaarning experience….sometimes a very “painful” learning experience….would so be encouraged by this set….I am blessed greatly by Women Living Well, your videos and blog Thank You for all you do to bless each of us greatly
Love your post …would love to be entered into the drawing for the unplugged give away!
I think we all have done this, but too often without ever realizing what just happened. Also, we often “share” with another person and use our own personal bias in the situation. ,In Bible study we just talked about how you react when frustrated reveals so much of your heart, so I have been thinking about this the last few days anyway. Thanks for being so honest about your “warts”
This sounds like a great book and thank you for your post.
I’ve just found your blog and started following. Thanks for being real!
I am reading this post just an hour after becoming unglued with my son. Again. I think I could really use this prize!
Thank you! I would love to win this and am so glad you are back!
Welcome back! Would love to read this Unglued, will share on Facebook !
Thank you for your honesty. Isn’t grace wonderful? My struggle usually happens at home when I’m tired from a long day, hungry, trying to get a million things done and one of the kids does (or doesn’t) do something I need. I just lost my father in law and through all the emotions that have come along with that, I have realized that those things that seem so important and I think warrant a reaction, aren’t really that important. I am trying to focus on all the things I am thankful for and remember that nothing is guaranteed so every minute I spend being patient and kind really does count;0)
Thank you so much for sharing! I appreciate when other women are real with their struggles. Its helps to know that everyone does make mistakes. And thank goodness for Gods grace 🙂 Thank You!!
This book is on my to read list.
We all have our moments of being “unglued”, for sure, so thanks for sharing your story!
I am reading Lysa’s book now in my small group, but would love to check out the devotional also.
I loved “Made to Crave.” Am sure I’ll love this even more.
I feel pretty unglued my self these days… But mine is more of the overwhelmed working mom with severe anxiety kind. I make it day by day by leaning on God’s promises and strength. But I would love to win this prize. Your blog always encourages me, Courtney! Thanks & blessings-
Excited about the contest and always learn so much from you awesome women of God.
I also shared on fb. 🙂
Hope to win!
Your blog is so encouraging! Looking forward to winning this prize…
Blessings!
P. S. Shared on my Facebook page.
I have been really wanting this book! And now there is a devotional too! So now I really want it! I think it will speak to me and help me through some of my situations in life at the moment!
I recently started reading your blog and really enjoy it!
This book would be such a blessing to me and my girls. Thank you so much for your work in the Kingdom!!
Yes, please 🙂
Your blog is such an inspiration. Would love to win this drawing.
Great blog, love the free ebook! Hey everyone you should download the Unglued author’s app, it’s free!!!
Love your blog. It always touches my heart and encourages me in my walk with Christ. Thank you for being obedient and letting God use you in all our lives.
Hi This sounds like a great book! I am reading Made to Crave and Love it!! God is using it tochange me and encourage me in my journey to eat healthier!
Lord show me those I have wronged.
I am sure out of +1,000 plus entries you might just randomly pick a number and then associate that number with the comments. I’m not sure what our post should be on, but I keep seeing this book. I feel at moments like the woman on the cover. In general, with life. Being a mother, who has two beautiful toddlers- that draw on my walls and destroy rooms Just as son as I clean them. Lol(I love my kids) being a wife to a military reservist and a man who is constantly traveling to provide for our little family. Living in a town where I have come to feel like God is my only friend…(sounds sad, but I enjoy God)
But sometimes I just want to scream! Why!
I can count my blessings yes. I know that I am blessed. But that doesn’t mean I don’t Fly off the handle and get frustrated. I would love to win this book. If I don’t that is fine. But if I do It would be great. I may even go get it if I don’t win. But who doesn’t enjoy feeling special and actually winning something. Thank you for this giveaway. Bless you. I love this blog. 🙂
Rae
Courtney, thanks for sharing your story. As always I find what you have to say encouraging, convicting and uplifting. Thanks for the giveaway also.
I have heard such wonderful things about this book. Thank you for the give away!
Thanks for sharing this story! It brought tears to my eyes, thinking about tough times in friendships. I would love to win the devotional.
Your honesty is refreshing…we all fall short of Jesus’ perfection but it’s comforting to know others have downfalls too. Thanks for being real Courtney! 🙂
What a nice giveaway! I would love to win. I am sharing this on Pinterest, Twitter, & Facebook.
I have struggeled to forgive my husband for his behavior during my Fathers death 6 years ago. My husband is a bipolar manic depressive, but when my Father died I really thought he would buck up and be there for me, and some intamacy problems lead to him not even speaking to me, let a lone being a support for me. He did not even stand with me and my family.
Then last may I had to have a major surgery at the last minute. I had been sick for weeks, and I was afraid, and he would not come to the hospital that first night. I guess he came later, I don’t remember much of that week and a half, but I still cy thinking about it. The one person in the world I should be able to depend on, and he was nowhere. I will never count on him again.
I know that I have to forgive him, and it is only hurting me. Please pray for me and help me. I am going to try to find that unplugged book, and I am trying to find a group for the study. I can ise all the help I can get.
I have 3 grown daughters who now have children of their own. I was a single mom raising these 3 daughters for 8 years before meeting my (now husband of 18 years who had 3 sons). You better believe there were many moments of ungluedness which left me feeling hopeless. I love your book and your honesty and I have bought it for each one of my daughters so far and plan to get them for my daughter-in-laws as well. I would love to win this set. Thank you for the opportunity.
Yes, I’ve come unglued, and I’ve had to apologize – finally, at 50+ years old I’ve gotten some control over my responses (but only some!). May God give us what we need to speak with grace.
What an AWESOME blog! Thanks for sharing how to live well! : )
I would love a chance to win. Love reading some of these many many comments.
Also sharing this on FB
Love your blog. Thanks for the chance to win this book. I come unglued some too.
I would love to win a copy of Lysa’s new book. I just finished a study of hers called “Made to Crave” and really enjoyed it. I’m so glad you are back to blogging again. I enjoy reading your posts.
I appreciate your openness and love your honesty. Thank you for this giveaway!
I would love a giveaway! I’ve been meaning to comment on this blog for awhile though so here are some thoughts on other posts too, while I’m here…
a) I saw that you were feeling burnt out and I totally understand that feeling! Last year I was working on my MA and teacher’s college at the same time and neglecting my prayer life and it was a pretty difficult season of my life! But I want to encourage you to keep blogging and keep walking with Christ – He IS making a difference through you!
b) I love your challenge posts for Valentine’s Day! I am not yet married but have been making an effort to praise my boyfriend, both privately and publicly, and it’s been a lot of fun!
Thank you for your ministry Courtney. 🙂
I live Lysa’s books. I would love to have this!
What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you 🙂
We’ve all had those moments where we knew we’ve come unglued. Too often I com unglued with my husband and son. You’d think that I wouldn’t come unglued around the one’s I love the most but unfortunately my sinful nature is to do so.
Thank you for the post. It was very encouraging! I hope I get a chance to read this book.
I posted on Facebook.
I also tweeted. Gotta get the news out to my friends 🙂
Hi Courtney~This morning my 11 year old asked if she could read your post when I was done reading—of course I said. When she was done, I asked her what she thought and if she understood it. She said, yeah, she sinned and stuff mom but then repented. I said, yes, and that is why I (and all of your other readers) love this blog and you because you do have the ability to create an all perfect impression but you show me on a daily basis your struggles (as well as success) and the conviction of what the Lord has taught you which in turn encourages me. God bless you and I pray for you.
Oh my goodness! I need this book so badly! LOL! I can’t count the number of times I have come unglued over something, and felt like a fool later!
I would love this book!
Great testamony, we all get to the end of our rope from time to time! We are human.

I am in a bible study right now and we are studying “Unglued”. I wish I had this book years ago and it might have saved me a whole lot of unglued moments. The worst one a few years ago was me neon so angry at my husband and children that I KICKED a hole in our bedroom wall. I have never felt so out of control! I was scared. I felt reality slipping away in those frail moments of my anger. I have searched my heart for years to try and find my triggers, but I truly have NO reason to be so angry.
I hope that this bible study will help me with my stress triggers as well as continue to help me with my relationship with God.
Unglued, hah, I had come unraveled. I have been coming unglued daily on my job as a teacher of 1st graders. My tolerance is thin as a strand of hair. By the time I get home to my 3 girls I snap crackle and pop. I had to apologize to my girls so many times over the last few weeks. I felt as though if i dont get better I am going to lose it or fail everyone. I just daily pray and as often as I realize I have come unglued then I pray and ask for redirection and calm thinking. I am so grateful for the blood of Christ that washes away my failures and gives me a pure start. Thank you for sharing.
I love the name of the book and I would love to have a copy for myself AND my daughter who is a Pastor’s wife!
Would absolutely love, love, love to win this!!! thanks! 🙂
This would be a wonderful devotional!
Thank you for being such an inspiration, Courtney. Love your blog!
Great blog! Would love to win!
I am a little on edge right now waiting to have a biopsy to see if I have cancer. I am not afraid of the cancer because God is with me but the wait is terrible, I just want to know. So I am a bit cranky right now!
Thanks for sharing your unglued moment and being a blessing to me and so many others!
I have just started to read Unglued and can’t believe how it speaks to my inner heart that I want no one to see. Thanks for offering such a great package!
Thank you for this opportunity to win. I would love to read this book and the devotional as well! 🙂
And as always, you have shared your heart with us and been used to bless me. Thank you for your openness in order to bless and help others.
I LOVE your blog. It’s what inspired me to start my own! This book was life-changing for me. Absolutely loved it. Thanks for doing a giveaway! You Rick 🙂
I would love to read this!
I would love to win this! I need this to help me “walk with the King” in a more gracious manner. Thank you for sharing your unglued moment and speaking into the lives of so many the grace of Jesus.

Pinned it! Thanks!
Great and very wise advice. Thanks.
Wow, I recently discovered your blog through Pinterest. It is so wonderful to have such an encouraging word at your fingertips. Though I am not a young mother, I have two adult daughters and 4 grandchildren. I just watched a preview of Lysa and her book “Unglued”. I so could relate. So I thought it would be great to even win…..the book giveaway. Thanks so much for all you do.
I cannot wait to read Lysa’s book! Thank you for all you do for women, your encouragement through your devotionals!
You are such an inspiration! And I would love to win this…need all the help I can get!!
Thank you for all your encouragement! I discovered you on good morning girls! I did your Advent study and currently going through the book of Luke. I feel so blessed that I found your site.
Would love to win this.
Love what you shared. Becoming unglued is unfortunately not uncommon for me either. Love this offer and will plan on picking these reads up no matter what!
As moms, we live with emotion just under the surface continually. I would love to read this book and the devotional! Thanks for having a give away:)
I would love to enter, thanks.
I daily struggle with allowing myself to get “unplugged”.
I have always had a short fuse and haven’t always lived a life most would find “acceptable”. I am blunt, struggle to keep my mouth shut, and typically lack a filter.
I believe with the help and guidance of Lysa’s book and (of course) the amazing God I proudly know today, I can slowly climb the mountain to reach the outlet where I can finally plug myself back in.
Also, my birthday is January 29th and this would be an amazing gift to give myself (:
God bless,

What a great giveaway! I’d love to win 🙂
I needed this today!! There are many times I feel like I’m going to become “unglued” and today was one of those days. I saw your update in my inbox in perfect timing today. The Lord always has perfect timing, doesn’t he? I recently found your blog and I have enjoyed it so much already.
I just finished reading Unglued and would love to have the devotional, and other fun stuff, too!
Thanks for your ministry!
Pinned this and shared on Facebook!
Love your honesty Courtney!
Wow, did this ever speak to me today!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Courtney for just being you and speaking to my heart =) And thank you Lord for using Courtney to reach so many women and for always being on time! I tried to post on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest but there is some sort of server error I keep getting. I ALWAYS gladly share your stuff though =)
I loved hearing about your story. I love hearing about your honesty. I would love to read this book it sounds like something i need just about right now. I am going through something where raw emotions are so high that if I am not careful I could hurt more than just me and frankly that is scary thought. When you think of all the people you can impact with just the raw emotions you express and do not stop and think who you might hurt can make you think about things a little differently. I shared this on facebook too:)
Thanks for your honesty. It is greatly appreciated!
We’ve all had our unglued moments over some of the silliest things. So glad for forgiveness!!!
I feel like I come unglued daily. And every time I do, I think, “why am I acting likea crazy person?”
I would love to win a copy of this book. I will share on facebook, too!
What a wonderful giveaway. I need to read this book.
I come Unglued with my kids. Then I get so mad at myself for not being the mom I envisioned myself being. I could so use this book!

Thank you for your honesty.
Sometimes I feel like I can come unglued around those who love me most.
It is never pretty.
I always regret it.
I would love to read this book!
We all need this, don’t we? Sigh.
I’d love to read and share this book!
I’d love to win this. I am reading her book and love it! I’m excited to read the devotional!
I would LOVE to have this resource. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this giveaway! I would LOVE to go through these books.
Thank you so very very much for your honesty and for being completely real to your readers.
I came pretty unglued myself yesterday and sadly my husband and kids ended up getting the worst of it all.
Love your story! I think I should read that book…many unglued moments in my house recently. God is revealing my idols and breaking me for good, I hope!

Thank you for your openness and honesty in sharing your story. The book sounds wonderful!
I am so glad I found your blog recently. I am in my first year as a home schooling mom and I feel completely unglued at times. I am trying to purge my unhealthy Internet reading and replacing the news/depressing junk with uplifting blogs. I have been blessed by your words and honesty! Thank you.
Thank you, Courtney for sharing your story. How embarrassing. I’ve been in those situations more times than I want to remember.
I would appreciate if you’d enter me in your drawing. I love what I have seen and heard of your book. It would be a great tool to have access to! God Bless You!
I’d love to win this giveaway. I come unglued more often in a typical day than I’d like to admit.
If we didn’t come unglued once in a while, we wouldn’t appreciate God’s grace. Thanks for all you do!
Love this post!! Thank you for sharing! I soooo need this book! I hope I win!
Unglued….definitely my next read. As a public school teacher, parent, wife, I sometimes come unglued. Lord, Help me to let YOU be my role model.
I can definitely relate to being Unglued. I’m there right now. I’m a mom of six with one-on-the-way and trying to give God the glory in it all, but feeling inadequate in this time. Needing Jesus. Thanks for your honesty. I’m new here, but I’m excited to share in the daily walk.
With 6 little boys ranging in age from 1 to 9, I unfortunately have my fair share of unglued moments. I’ve just started this study and have enjoyed it greatly!! I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it if I were chosen for this drawing. You have an amazing ministry and thank you for sharing with us.
Pinned it!
And now I’ve shared it on fb. 🙂
This is an amazing giveaway and I would love to be entered into the drawing. As a mom of 4 boys I have definitely had my share of unglued moments and with God’s mercy and grace, I have come far in my spiritual growth but nevertheless there is always much room for improvement. By the way, I have been continuously challenged by your emails/blogs and want to encourage you and thank you for your faithfulness to God and this ministry. So, a BIG THANK YOU to you and for your honesty!
fHaven”t we all had some ‘unglued” moments!! 🙂 I shared on

Courtney, Thank you for sharing your heart. I struggle with coming unglued with my family the most. I would love to win this giveaway! Thanks for having it.
I’d love a chance to win this great set!
I’m writing this with tears in my eyes, because I desperately need this book. I’m a mom to a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I’m currently potty training my 2 year old, and she is.doing pretty good but when she has accidents …I come Unglued. One time she looked at me and said,.”I’m sorry.” I just broke down in tears and thought,”Lord, what’s wrong with me?”. Then my husband comes home from work and I get Unglued as soon as he walks through the door, it seems. Afterwards I think,”Why on Earth am I doing this? Lord, what is wrong with me?”. I apologize to my sweet husband, for the millionth time over the same. thing..becoming Unglued. I desperately need these books, not only for my marriage and kids, but
e me as well. I’m tired of being like this and we can’t afford them right now. So I’m thankful I came across this giveaway. I’m going to share this on Facebook, in hopes that it will help someone else who needs these books.
What a great giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!

I tried a few times to post to fb but it said systems error?? W
Love your honesty and reminder that, even though we’re human and we’re gonna mess up, God wants us to make amends to those we’ve hurt or had conflict with. Wow, is that hard sometimes – but so worth the effort! Excited about the “Unglued” book and would love to win – thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
I posted your giveaway on facebook! Thanks.
I have just recently realized (not that I haven’t always known coming unglued wasn’t a good thing) just how damaging & hurtful coming unglued can be for everyone involved, not only for me, the attacker, but for the attacked as well. In my futile attempt to keep peace a couple of weeks ago, I lost it not only with my fiance, but the next day as well with my daughter. Didn’t do anyone any good…just a bunch of hurt feelings and words we can never take back. A horrible feeling. I would love to read her book and share what I learn with others! God bless you all & your ministries!!
I would be blessed to win this because next week I will be a new teacher. new fears, new emotions, new heartaches, and new emotions. Emotions to adhere to the heart of a parentless child, or to the one that is just “unlovable”. I never wanted to be a teacher, until God called me to it. I was the child in the classroom that never had a father or mother by my side. Never did I have someone telling me to not give up, except my emotion-controlled teachers. I want to be that teacher, to serve and give back and the book would be a wonderful tool. I have been financially independent since adolescence, enduring multiple jobs and loans to reach my goal of becoming a teacher. As of today, I have also learned that financial stresses and circumstances will not stop my passion for the greater good in education. I want to be a teacher not only make a different in a child’s life but to show children, like I was shown, that regardless of dark moments light can be seen. I hope with this book I can have the emotions to display the same!
Would love a chance to win this awesome gift pack! I have come unglued more times than I’d like to count, and I know this book is chocked full of godly advice on how to stay glued when uncomfortable circumstances are swirling around me.

Thanks!
i love your honesty. always have for the past few years ive been following you. id love to win. you have truly helped me to become a better person with your ministry i thank the father for you and your gifts he has instilled in you
Awesome testimony. So reminds me of a time I became unglued in front of colleagues, just after praying for someone, I find myself yelling and screaming on the phone about a matter that now doesn’t matter and that I was going to handle anyway. Thank you. Would love to win, but was blessed by the sharing either way.
I loved your blog post for it’s honesty. I’m sorry you got unglued but it is good to hear that even the best of us lose it sometimes. Why would I like to win? I have 3 wonderful kids, really I do. But, for about 9 years now I’ve been in a hamster wheel cycle of unglued yelling and then asking forgiveness from my kids. It’s crazy and I need God’s help in a huge way. If you could pray for me, I’d appreciate it too. It’s been very slow progress.
What a generous giveaway!
It has been awesome to have you back in my email. Your emails really inspire me. I share them with my 3 daughters. We all love them. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway. Her book is on my list of reads but I’ve yet to be able to purchase it. I have so many moments where I come unglued. Most is at my children. Sad. But true. I’m learning. We’re adjusting. We are a combined family and it wasn’t always easy but God made it possible. He has 3 kids I have 4. The Love of God surrounds us each day. What more could I ask for? Thanks again. 🙂
I have been so inspired by your blog. Thank You for taking the time to invest in other women’s lives. 🙂
Love to win! Thank you for your daily inspiration!
Loved your story of becoming unglued in church…because I can relate and because we both serve the same Savior who made forgiveness possible for our unglued moments. All praise belongs to Him!!! I’d love to win because sometimes I feel like the queen of unglued. My most recent episode involved me becoming unglued over a 6th grade science study guide. My poor daughter inherited some of her mama’s unglued tendencies, and we were just an unglued mess that night. I know I need to learn to keep my emotions in check.
Sounds great! Love Lysa’s writing and would love to have this set.
I just found your FB page and your website and I already love it. A friend of mine recommended this book a few months ago, but I’ve yet to read it. We all come “unglued” sometimes, thanks for sharing your story!!
I have become unglued so many times that I should carry a bottle of glue with me to put myself back together!
Love your site!
Thank you so much Court for your honesty!!! I am actually reading Unglued now, and I absolutely love it! I would love to win this giveaway! And do you have any advice for doing a small group study on this book? I lead a women’s group and would love to do a study of this book! I also tried to post on fb but there is some kind of error. Just letting you know.

Been wanting to read this for awhile 🙂
I’d love to win this! Thanks for the opportunity! 🙂
Oh Courtney, I hear ya. I become unglued far too often. I have read the first two chapters of the book that Lysa left for free and loved it. Could totally relate. Thank God for his mercy, grace and extreme patience. Many blessings to you and keep up the good work. You’re an encouragement.

I just had lunch with my girlfriend on thursday and she said she was reading this book!! Thank you for the opportunity, the books sounds amazing. Bless you and have a wonderful weekend.
I would love to win this book. With 3 kids I come unglued way too often!
I often become unglued. I would love to read this book.
I would live to win this set! Love your website! Thank you for your ministry to women!
I love reading Women Living Well. Your blog came at the best time for me. For years I have struggled with routine and being the woman I know God created me to be. This month, I started simple but strong. I am reading your ebook Proverbs 31 Woman. I read one verse (chapter) and sometimes two each day and spend pray time with God. I am a nurse helping use my talents for my family by working minimum part time nights (3- 12 hour nights every 2 weeks. This has helped my husband build his business to where it is no longer struggling but is viable, YEAH. In the process though, I mourned staying at home and having to go back to 12 hour shifts, stress of the job, and sleeping issues that come with nights. Through your ebook, I am now seeing a difference in my thought process, attitude, and willingness to serve despite some of the negatives. Thank you for making a difference in my life! My next endeavor will be to read Unglued and after that Desperate. Routine and planning are now my friend and I am beginning to love it, LOL!
I pinned your post and would like to be entered into your drawing :).
I would love to read this book. Its seems so easy to come unglugged sometimes. What a great idea for a book, so many times people think because you are a Christian you can’t ever make mistakes…boy are they wrong.
I would love to win this! Thanks for the encouragement that your blog is to those who read it!!!
I don’t want to be entered in the giveaway, already have the book and want someone else to have the chance for all the goodies. I just wanted to add my thanks to you and Lysa for helping the rest of us realize that we don’t have to be perfect, just forgiven. I’m not an exploder by nature but when I do, it’s very ugly and what’s really ugly is how I feel afterward. Knowing there is forgiveness and grace for even the ugliest times makes it easier to keep on going. Best of all, knowing there’s a chance for progress, no matter how imperfect, makes me love my Jesus all the more. God less you and your ministry!
I am a young mom and a public school teacher (second grade) and I just LOVE your blog. You inspire me to live well at home for my family AND within my classroom with my 23 “kids” ! You wouldn’t believe how often I come unglued within the classroom and have to apologize to seven year olds daily! I would love to be entered for this drawing!
This would be such a blessing to win. I truly think it is such a VALUABLE giveaway, one that will have a LASTING effect on the winner! I just want you to know how much your blog posts speak to my heart. Thank you for the opportunity to win this awesome giveaway!
Been there! I am a worship leader and last year the overseer and I had a discussion where I came unglued and caused a bit of a scene in the hallway. As a leader in the church I am not perfect but if my emotions are left up to me- things like that are bound to happen! I would love the devotion. I am sure I have friends I could share it with too 😉
Hi, I recently found your blog through a friend and you have already changed my life. I am a busy mom of 5 and a Pastors wife for the past 10 years. I have been reading God’s Word “on the run” either on my phone or listening to it in the “mom-mobile” and can say that I haven’t been gleaning what I needed from the Word. I watched your video on your Bible study habits and my heart was convicted that I needed to get out my Bible, the good ole’ fashioned kind (not electronic) and study with colored pencil and pen in hand. I’ve been doing this for a while now and have already been blessed beyond measure. God has revealed Himself to me over and over.
Thank you for your service and your transparency.
Please include me in the drawing for the Unglued prize package. Thank You.
Looks like a great set of literature. Can’t wait to read my free copy (LOL)!
I am also enjoying your marriage challenge. My husband took really good care of me two nights ago when I was horribly sick. He got tons of verbal praise! Thank God for the strong men in our lives!
pinned it! Can’t wait to read it!
I just pinned this post to Pintrest 🙂
I would love to read these books! Thank you for the chance at winning. My husband lost his job, so the the starbucks gift card would be “icing on the cake,” if I won. 🙂 We could go on a date for coffee and quite time. 🙂
I would love to read these books. We are on a tight budget right now so I haven’t been able to purchase. Thanks for doing the giveaway.
Thank you for your honesty, coming Unplugged is something that happens to all of us at one time or another ~ were human. I love reading your blog entries as they always challenge, uplift or inspire me in my marriage and personally. Hosting this giveaway is a sweet gesture in many ways. I would love to win, but am aware that God will provide it to the one who needs it according to HIS will.
I’ve shared the giveaway on Facebook.
Guess I should be LOL at my Oops typo in my first post ~ Unplugged! When you stop to think about it, it’s easy to recognize that being Unplugged to the Spirit is the first step in coming Unglued. (The correct title of the book & devotional) My apologies!
I just pinned ~ 553 “Unglued” best seller & devotional book on my pinterest page.
What a great giveaway, thank you!!!
Thanks, I’d love to be entered into your giveaway.
I too, have become “unglued”…and believe me it’s not a pretty site.
Praise the Lord for the Holy Spirit and the gentle nudging He gives us to help keep us in line, or at least the gentle reminder to get back in line, lol!
Blessing and favor to you and your family!
Heather

Thank you for your honesty. It touches me so much and so thought provoking. Blessings
Dawn
I love your blog, and would love to win this book!! Thanks 🙂
I would love to win!!
This book has been on my reading list since it came out!! would love to win it!! Thanks for sharing your experiences as it helps me to see that I am not alone when it comes to motherhood. We sometimes compare ourselves to others around us and it seems we come up short. It is good to know that others are there just like us. In the fact that no mother is perfect – no one is- however, the love of God perfects us all in Him. My children are teenagers now and I am just learning this!!
I would love to win the giveaway and I have to say thank you for your honesty. It was an ouchy reminder to me of times when I too became unglued. I am glad you are back.
We’ve all been there, but not many of us would admit it. Thanks for sharing your story.
Oh, how I am so thankful you wrote this post. As I was reading, I was reminded of a situation I had yesterday that I acted like a fool too. I got my way, but not without coming “unglued” first. The Lord used your post to really speak to my heart, and lead me to ask Him and other person for forgiveness.
Thank you for being so transparent and honest. Your obedience has been a blessing.
-KD
Wow Courtney, thanks for your honesty as always! So many bloggers only tell the good about themselves, and it is such a blessing that you tell it ALL so that we are able to learn from your experiences, and realize that we’re all imperfect and that we need God’s help! Blessings to you and your beautiful family. 🙂 Lauren, lholmes79.wordpress.com
I am so grateful for the sharing of information gleamed from your site. Thank you for being open.
Thanks for sharing from the heart. Your honesty is a blessing!

I would love to win this!
I enjoy reading about things you experience. I go through all kinds of emotions reading your blogs. Joy, shame, guilt, lower than low, laughter, love but will it all I feel challenged to work on myself. Thank you for being open and honest! It is you making it real and making me feel like I been there, done that that makes easy to relate to. Please keep following what God is showing you. You are reaching people and helping them. Thank you again! God bless…hugss 🙂
Thank you for the post. It is Sunday morning here on Guam and I just became unglued at church over serving in the nursery — I wanted to serve but my Pastor’s wife relieved me because I filled in for someone last week. I left the nursery found a quiet spot and read this post–boy did it bring conviction! God’s timing is always perfect! Oh, and did I mention that the Pastor’s wife is my best friend and heart sister! Thank you so much for sharing, you really do make a difference,
Just saw this post. Is it bad that I felt releaved about your ‘unglued’ moment? :/ It made me realize we all do from time to time, BUT the redemption is there and is so sweet!!
Is it too late to enter for the giveaway? Here in TN it’s 8:30 PM on Saturday, don’t know if you’re our time ahead or behind.
Thanks for the chance anyway, and for you constant transparency, always find motivation, encouragement and/or both : )
Wow, I could really use this book. Came on here today looking for encouragement (I always find something that brings me back to focus!) My poor children have been dealing with an “unglued” mother for too many months now.
sounds like a book I need to read – thanks for the opportunity!
Oh MY! So many comments! See how loved you are?
Oh wow, this recovering perfectionist could so do with reading that book! It sounds like something I should buy if I don’t win it.
May your heart echo His,
Rachael
This book is one of the books on my list to read this year! What a blessing it would be to win it! I shared it on my facebook wall 🙂
Sounds like a wonderful read. Excited!
I’ve been interested in this book and would love to win.
This giveaway will benefit so many people, especially wives/mothers! I know from personal experience, I come “unglued” when I least expect it sometimes. I vow that I will not stress out, that I will not allow life’s obstacles to make me react in such a negative way, that I will not come unglued when the kids are not doing as they should, etc. and I will do well for a few days. I sometimes do well for a couple of weeks, but then it happens! I know God will help me with controlling these situations, if I keep seeking His guidance. I think this book will be a good resource for dealing with those situations too! Thank you for all of the time you put into helping your sisters in Christ and for these fabulous giveaways!
I’ve been in an awkward kind of “friendship” with someone a considered a friend. I remember writing her a special note on her birthday telling her how much I felt God put us in each others lives for a great purpose. Yet, it seems our friendship is consumed by jealousy at this point. Anyway, I would love to read this devotional. My heart is in need of some clarity.
I would love to win this set. I feel like I have come unglued a lot here lately.
Please enter me to win! I need a new book to read! The times I can become easily unglued are like your expereince that you shared — when I feel injustice is being done to my kids. The “mommy bear’ in me awakes! I need to purpose to control myself when I see red on my chidren’s behalf — there is opportunity to share the gospel in those situations!
Would love to win this book! Thank you for the opportunity!
Please enter me to win. Our women’s group is currently reading/studying Lysa’s book “Unglued”. Gosh, it is such an eye opener to know you are not the only one that comes unglued occasionally. This book has blessed our group, what once used to be 10 women meeting on Wednesday nights has grown to 20-25 women. We’re a small church so to find this many women when you walk in the door ready to take this book on it is truely warming to your heart. Truely, I think it’s because we can all relate to this women and feel like she is telling our story.
I would love a chance to win “Unglued”! Thank you for the opportunity. I also “pin’d it”!
