Cranberry Sauce
Last thanksgiving my Uncle was in town and he gave me a HUGE hand in the kitchen. We were expecting 22 guests from my side of the family. One of the recipes he made was this cranberry sauce.
It was my first time to ever see cranberry sauce made (who knew the cranberries actually pop!) And it was delicious, so I thought I’d share it with all of you!
Cranberry Sauce Ingredients:
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
12-oz bag fresh or frozen cranberries (3 cups)
freshly grated orange zest
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Preparation:
Bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add cranberries and simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries just pop, 10 to 12 minutes. Then cool. It will gel and get thick.

This looks great – I've never made it before. Thanks for the recipe.

so once the sugar is dissolved, you add the remaining ingredients? thanks for posting!
When do you add the OJ or cinnamon stick?
I made this last year and just added everything together before I started cooking it. It was seriously delicious… In fact I’m back on this page to make it again this year!
I made this recipe last year… DELISH! At one point I caught my brother just eating it by the spoonful. Thanks for sharing!
