Proverbs

Welcome to our study in the book of Proverbs! We are going to learn so much wisdom from our study in Proverbs.

Solomon, the son of David and King of Israel, is the author.  In 1 Kings 3, God went to Solomon and said, “ask for anything you want and I will give it to you.”  Then Solomon asked for wisdom, so he could be a good king.  The Lord responded, “I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.”  This wise man wrote the book of Proverbs!

It is going to instruct you in your marriage, friendships, your work ethic, speech, and finances. It deals with anger and lust and evil and righteousness and so much more!  We are going to grow so much as we read one chapter a day.  Remember: the book of Proverbs is full of principles – they are not promises.  Let’s get started!
