The Best Yes by Lysa Terkeurst – 5 Book Giveaway

The Best Yes

This came in the mail last month!  Hooray!

I am so excited to be a part of Lysa Terkeurst’s launch team!

She has written a new book titled:

The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in the Midst of Endless Demands.*

Are you living with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule and aching with the sadness of an underwhelmed soul?

Lysa TerKeurst is learning that there is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God. In The Best Yes she will help you:

  • Cure the disease to please with a biblical understanding of the command to love.
  • Escape the guilt of disappointing others by learning the secret of the small no.
  • Overcome the agony of hard choices by embracing a wisdom based decision-making process.
  • Rise above the rush of endless demands and discover your Best Yes today.

Lysa TerKeurst is the New York Times bestselling author of Made to Crave and Unglued. She isn’t shy about admitting what a mess she can be. But in the midst of everyday “growth opportunities,” she’s been learning God’s lessons and sharing them on her blog (www.LysaTerKeurst.com) and in her books. Lysa is president of Proverbs 31 Ministries and writes from her sticky farm table in North Carolina where she lives with her husband, Art, five kids, three dogs, and mouse that refuses to leave her kitchen.

  1. There are many wonderful opportunities to say “Yes” to, but the absolute best “Yes” is when we accept God’s invitation to guide us through our earthly journey keeping our eyes on him. This is the ultimate “Yes”. 🙂

  2. Love her!! SO excited to enter this! She seems like a real sweetheart!! Hope to get a chance to meet her in person someday!

  3. I have been wanting to start a ladies bible study in my home and this book is one I have been waiting to come out. I am a mom of two young children and find it hard to find time to enjoy God’s word. Let alone have any quite time! I’m hoping to be able to host a bible study to help other Christian moms have an opportunity to study God’s word. I feel mothers these days feel like they have to accomplish so much. There are so many distractions in society. I’m hoping this study will help to encourage us to search our hearts for what God desires for us!

  4. Sounds like this is a book I truly need. I have such a hard time saying no. Sometimes we “do” so much for the church, etc. that we lose what is most important, time alone with our Savior. Thank you for hosting this giveaway!

  5. thanks for the chance to win this. This is the new study coming up on Proverbs31.org. It would be a dream if I would win. Hubby’s been laid off for 5 months and just went back last week. PTL!

  6. Really enjoy reading her books……it’s like she’s sitting right there in the room talking to you 🙂

  7. I really could use this book, as I just returned to work from being in short term disability. The reason why I was on disability is because of stress which created panic attacks. I felt stretched but never stress; however, I’m glad my body informed (panic attacks) me I was long overdue for a break.

Ladies, please make sure you take time for your self.,don’t want to end up like me with panic attacks or much worse. I couldn’t even drive due until the doctor figured out why I was fainting. Come to find out all this was stress related.

Tonight I plan to sit down and make sure I schedule me time!

  8. I have been one of those people who can’t say no for my whole life and I would love to have this book. Right now as I’m writing this there is a need in my neighborhood, which has a lot of elderly people, for someone to just visit them sometimes. I have been taking care of my aunt for the past few years and she finally went home to be with the Lord and I know where God wants me and I love helping the elderly. I just need to say some no’s at church and go out and help these ladies. God bless, this book is so useful because of the number of women who are in the same boat.

  9. Watched the webcast earlier this evening, and it was fantastic. Great message by Lysa followed up with a great panel discussion by some wonderful ladies. Thanks for the chance to win the book, but win it or buy it myself, I can’t wait to read it.

  10. It is amazing how some days the posts meet my need exactly. Goes to show how much God guides our lives even in our reading.

  11. Oh!! I hope to win…..our small group, yes even the men and teenage kids (boys AND girls) just went through Unglued! That was so, so good! She is a great author!!
