Do Not Be Discouraged When You Feel Judged

I am still on my blogging break but I am in Dallas, Texas this morning at a Women in Ministry Summit with Kay Arthur (author of over 100 Bible Studies!) and Logos Bible Software.

I had the opportunity to sit next to Kay Arthur and ask her many questions during breakfast yesterday.

My mother has led her Precept Bible Studies for over 35 years. I am a product of Kay discipling my mother and my mother discipling me. So this was truly a joy to meet Kay, at the age of 80, in real life.

I was also trained on the amazing Logos Bible Software that includes so many Bible study tools and helps including commentaries, Bible dictionaries, lexicons and concordances all quickly at the touch of a fingertip in one place.  It’s amazing!

There were 50 of us like-minded women in ministry there including:

Janelle – Comfy In the Kitchen, Darlene – Time Warp Wife, and Jennifer – the Unveiled Wife

Rachael Wojo and Jennie Allen

Heidi St. John – The Busy Mom

And others like Liz Curtis Higgs, Elisa Morgan – CEO of MOPS, Sally Clarkson, Chrystal Hurst, Rachael Myers & Amanda Smith of She Reads Truth, Pam Ferrell who I really enjoyed – she’s the author of Men are Like Waffles, Women are Like Spaghetti and 40 more books, Margaret Feinberg, Lisa Harper, Patsy Clairmont, Susie Larson,  Cindy Bultema, Lore Ferguson, Jessica Thompson, Elyse Fitzpatrick and many more I’m forgetting. (I’m a little delirious from lack of sleep. Lol!)

So I am filled up, inspired and so very blessed and can’t wait to get back home to my family!

But I will remain on a blogging break a wee bit longer.

Until then, visit me today over at the Better Mom where we are discussing when you feel judged by other Christians.

Man, how do you get into that Conference???- so many women there I would just love to sit at the feet of! Especially in my season of a grass roots Mom’s Ministry and writing a book, oh and the 4 babies under the age of 7! I can’t wait to hear about this when your ready to get back!

  2. Sounds like a great conference with a wonderful group of godly women! Thanks for sharing in the midst of all that is going on, the pics are great.

Sorry it is so hot here in Dallas, but it is August! 100ish temps are our norm, keep cool!

I have recently been elected to fill the place of a Trustee on the Keller ISD, TX School Board. It is “brutal” with being a Christian Conservative. I am “trying” so hard to ignore those who are mean activitists who terribly judge me when I don’t make decisions “their” way. I have had many friends who are turning against me. I can’t please everyone. I am trusting the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct me in all of the decisions I have to make. I pray for strength to stay strong and covering to protect my heart and emotions as I endure these horrible, hateful words spewed at me.

I love hearing what is on your heart.
