My Pictures from The Relevant Conference

Left to Right: ComfyInTheKitchen, Me, Peak313, TheBetterMom

Thank you to everyone who joined me for the Blog Bash 2011!!! I had an amazing time at Relevant and am excited to share the pictures with you! I plan to write more tomorrow about all I learned but today I’m just going to post pictures – because I am deliriously tired!!! Being with all my virtual friends was TOO amazing for me to sleep through – but I’m paying for it now – I’m too old for over nighters lol!!!

So my “real life friend” Janelle from Comfy In The Kitchen drove.

And about 30 minutes into the drive, I asked her when we’d need to stop for gas.  That’s when we realized this…

So we all had a good laugh – filled her up and 6 1/2 hours later we were in Hershey, PA for the Relevant Conference!

There I roomed with…

Joy – the Gracefullmama – who flew half way around the world from Indonesia to be a keynote speaker – this girl spoke truth that challenged me to the core!  What an honor it was to enter into her life for just a few short days and peak at pictures of her friends and co-laborers over pizza, Diet Coke, tears and laughter.  I do think we spent half our weekend laughing and the other half crying!  It was an up and down sort of time we had together – and both the belly laughs and tears were soothing to the soul!  We had adjoining doors so these are the other roomies…

Darlene – the Time Warp Wife – who flew in from Canada!, Janelle from Comfy In The Kitchen

My real-life friend Clare from Peak 313 Fitness and Ruth – the editor of The Better Mom – a Moody Grad too!

There was one girl there who was not acting like herself at all! She was SOOOOO quiet all week long!

Flat Angela – she shared a bed with Darlene!

And then there were these that came unexpectedly…a hug from home…

The hubby sent them with a card that read “God gave me you.”  That’s a gold star for him right 🙂 !!!!!

Last year, Relevant was excellent…my expectations were high and it didn’t just meet them but far exceed them this year! Way to go!!!

And thank you Jesus for moving in the hearts of the women there.  I saw you in every smile, every kind word, every hug, and in unexpected ways.

I cannot wait to share more with you tomorrow!  But I can’t write another word…I’m obviously exhausted because I left HALF my clothes in the drawers at the Sheraton Hotel – turbo blond moment!  I called and the Sharaton is mailing them all to me – free of charge!  Way to go with great customer service Sheraton!!!  Thank you!

Walk with the King,

  1. We had a wonderful time while you were away as well. Thanks for opening up your home for us to party in all weekend long. I made some wonderful new friends. I’m sure we’ll be sharing our thoughts with you too. Blessings tonight as you rest.

  2. So fun that you were in Hershey… I live in Millersville (just outside of Lancaster, about 35 min from Hershey). Hope you enjoyed the snow we got up here 🙂 Can’t wait to hear about what you learned at the conference!!

  3. What an amazing gesture from your husband. You two are truly blessed with each other’s companionship! On top of that, what a group of smart, beautiful ladies. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Looks like a great time! Fun seeing pictures of ladies from all the blogs that I read. Oh, what a sweet husband! 🙂

  5. That looks awesome–I so wanted to go to Relevant this year because it is practically right in my neighborhood! 🙂 Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out schedule-wise, but I hope you had a blessed trip to Central PA. 🙂

  6. Super fun! I know we bumped into each other a couple of times, and I was blessed by your session with Amy and Ann, but I so wish we could have sat down together and talked for a few minutes! You are such a blessing of encouragement to me Courtney!

And thanks for my coffee love…you spoke my heart language! 🙂

  7. So glad you posted a few photos from the conference. How special to room with Joy. I’ve been reading her blog from Indonesia. I look forward to future posts on the conference. This is one I hope to go to in the future; maybe 2012?

    Blessings and love,

PS. I understand those blonde moments. Glad to see how cooperative and kind the hotel was.

  8. One of my most precious moments at Relevant was when I said, “I wish I could….” and you said “You can.”
Thanks for all you give, Courtney.

  9. Courtney, you are such an inspiration to me….I would love to have you do a guest post
on my blog about some of your holiday traditions. I think it would be so inspirational to my readers.

  10. Hi Courtney – I’ve lurked here on an off for a while 🙂 Loved seeing your pix and remembering my trip to Relevant last year! And, would love to meet Joy someday too!!!!! Blessings on your day! Monica

  11. I love your flowers – that sweet note made me teary. I attended last year and sold my ticket this year. I’m excited to be planning to attend again next year. I thought I would hate to read all of the updates because I’d be feeling left out but it was great to have been there and be able to visualize it all. Thanks for sharing pictures. 🙂

  12. I loved meeting you all! It makes the online seem more personal now that we have connected in real life. I feel sad we couldn’t talk more. but you still bless me, and I am honored to call you my friend. xoxo

  13. Beautiful photos!! I wish it would have all ended better for me, but the first half was amazing. I loved being there and being able to meet you all. P.S. Angela snores too much. LOL
