10 Verses About Heaven
Have you ever wondered what heaven will be like?
Even though we don’t know exactly what heaven will be like, we can look forward to it with hope and joy.
Heaven won’t be anything like what we can imagine- it will be so much greater!
God’s Word gives us glimpses of what eternity will be like with Him! Heaven is going to be amazing!!!
Let’s take a look together at what His Word says.
Here’s 10 Verses About Heaven-
1. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. You cannot obtain salvation through anyone or anything else.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. ~Acts 4:12
2. God has already prepared a place for you in heaven!
In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. ~John 14:2-3
3. We will get a new, glorious body in heaven!
Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. ~Philippians 3:20-21
4. Every nation and tribe will stand before God. We will all worship our Creator together.
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” ~Revelation 7:9-10
5. God is going to create a new heaven and a new earth. He will live with us forever!
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.” ~Revelation 21:1-3
6. In heaven there will be no more pain, no more tears and no more death!!
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. ~Revelation 21:4
7. There will be no need for day or night because God will be our light. We will always see his face!
They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever. ~Revelation 22:4-5
8. Jesus will return one day- we will be with him forever!
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. ~1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
9. God has given us eternal life- no one can take you away from him!
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. ~John 10:28
10. Our minds can’t even begin to imagine the awe and beauty that God has prepared for us in heaven!
What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. ~1 Corinthians 2:9
Everything we put before God from this world, ends at the grave.
We can’t take our money, success, clothes, house, degree or anything else from this world, with us into eternity.
Every good and enjoyable thing we have in life has come as a gift from God and these good things are not the point of life! God has a greater purpose for you, than to just live life craving after the things of this world.
Is what you are living for eternal?
One day, after death, you will wake up in either heaven or hell – and if you wake up separated from God, you will realize you have wasted your life on things that were empty, when you could have lived your life for eternity.
We were made to worship God and to live with him for all of eternity. And so that relationship starts now – here on earth.
Don’t waste your life on things that will end at your grave, instead put all of your trust in God. He loves you!
