Have you ever read Jeremiah from beginning to end before?
Now’s the time!

This is an interesting Old Testament book to study in the midst of cold, winter months!

This is a 5 week study.

Jeremiah is 52 chapters long (that is long!). I have broken it down to make it a little easier for you so we will read key passages from every chapter and cover around 2 chapters a day.

For those who have been following the Good Morning Girls Bible Studies  โ€“ you know that we studied Colossians (from the New Testament) last fall. So Iโ€™m excited to get back to the Old Testament and complete another book!

๐Ÿง What is Jeremiah all about?

I have to admit, this book is not an easy book to read and understand.  That is why it’s better to do it together! โค๏ธ

The Book of Jeremiah is the longest book in the Bible (even though it has less chapters than Psalms) in which we read God repeatedly calling the land of Judah back to repentance, offering them hope and restoration if theyโ€™d only turn to him, all the while knowing they would continue in their stubbornness and sin. Even still, God promised to restore them and punish their enemies.

The deep and endless mercy and grace of God is portrayed so beautifully in this book of the Bible.

Jeremiah is called the “weeping prophet” because of his grief over the sins of the people. As we read this together, we will see that often we are like them.

We think we will be happier doing our own will rather than the Lords and then we wonder why we are suffering or facing problem after problem.  As Godโ€™s dearly loved children, may we let go of all our sin, fear God and obey him.

You donโ€™t want to miss this!  We are going to learn so much!

If you are new, welcome to Good Morning Girls! We are so glad you are here!

We are Reading Through the Bibleโ€“ one chapter a day โ€“ five days a week.

There are no sign-ups or enrollments.

We are reading through the Bible, switching back and forth between the New Testament and the Old Testament.

So far we have completed 37 books of the Bible:

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and James!  You can find ALL of the links to past studies on the GMG Resources Page.

FAQ

How do I enroll for this study?

There is no enrollment.  No requirement to subscribe.  Just come and join in anytime!

What is Good Morning Girls?

โ€œGood Morning Girlsโ€ is a title for a group of women who use email, Facebook, Twitter or text messaging to keep each other accountable for their quiet times.

Do I have to have a Good Morning Girls Group to join the Bible Study?

No.  You can do this study without a group on your own.

How Do I Start a Good Morning Girls accountability group?

Invite some of your friends to join you.  Pray about who from your church, Bible study group, family, neighborhood or workplace would be a good fit.  Groups that are smaller generally work better โ€“ 5-12 is a good number especially for email and text messaging groups. Facebook groups can go quite a bit larger and still work.

Once I have a group, what do I do?

Either create a Facebook Group where you can all discuss your daily reading and reflection questions or create an email group and email the group daily.  My group uses the Voxer App โ€“ a voice messaging app -to share about our quiet times.  You could also use text messaging or meet in person weekly in your home or at a coffee shop.

I want to be a leader of a group but Iโ€™m not sure how to lead?

To access the FREE Leaderโ€™s Training Video Series go โ€”โ€“> HERE.

The Good Morning Girls Leaders Manual is available as a digital download for free โ€“> HERE.

Or you can find it out on Amazon in Paperback โ€“> Here.

The manual includes: The leaderโ€™s responsibilities.  How to set up a Good Morning Girls Group. What to do once your group is set up. Tips to help your GMG Group thrive. How to Encourage Participation. How to fostering an atmosphere of community. The importance of prayer. A sample welcome letter. 9 ways to get more out of your Bible Study. Answers to frequently asked questions. Icebreaker Questions. And What to do if your GMG Group is struggling.

Can I Join a Group On-Line?

Yes, around one week before we begin, I will invite women with open groups to leave links to their facebook groups or email groups, in the comment section here on the blog. So please stop back on that day to look for a group!

  1. Do you have these Bible lessons with journal like this one on Jeremiah available for all the books of the Bible? I host a small ladies Bible study group and if so these would be excellent

    1. Hi Michelle,

All you need to join us is your Bible! And I will post free resources every Monday and Friday here on the blog to assist your study. The Study Guide provides a summary and commentary for each chapter along with a reflection question for each day that supplements your study but you do not have to have it to join us. It is just a tool to help you go deeper and understand and reflect on the each days reading.

To see pictures of the interior of the study guide go here: https://womenlivingwell.etsy.com/listing/1828664960/jeremiah-a-5-week-bible-study

I hope this helps! I’m looking forward to starting Jeremiah with you!! โค๏ธ
      Much Love,
      Courtney ๐Ÿ™‚
