12 Ways to Change the Atmosphere of Your Home
In case you missed the first announcement, we are about to begin the ALL NEW Making Your Home a Haven Bible Study on Monday, October 20th.
π Every year I get emails asking me if this is the same study from years before,
and the answer is –> NO. Every year I write an ALL NEW STUDY. π
π―οΈ π The challenges are always the same (lighting a candle daily in your home, keeping a gratitude list βοΈ etc.) BUT the daily Bible reading, devotionals, and videos are ALL NEW.
π This year’s theme is
Strengthened in the Secret Place
We will be learning how to create our own secret place to be Hidden with Him, Rooted and Unshaken, Standing Guard over our heart, mind, peace, gratitude and words, and Bringing Secrets into the Light – our secret thoughts, secret wounds, and secret sins so that we can live a life that shines out of the overflow of our secret place with God.
π Seasons are changing outside our homes.
It’s time for a CHANGE INSIDE our homes. π‘ π―οΈ
Lighting a candle changes the atmosphere of your home.
During this study, you will be challenged to light a candle everyday in your home!
I will be starting my candle in the morning but you can start yours at dinnertime or whenever is convenient for you. I will be placing mine in the kitchen – the main hub of my home.
Each time the glimmer of the candle catches your eye, slow down, pray, remember God is with you and rest in his presence.
Do you want to change the atmosphere of your home?
Here’s a list of ways to take your home from cold to cozy!
12 Ways to Change the Atmosphere of Your Home
- π―οΈ Light a candle.
- πΆ Turn on soft music, or if you need an energy booster, turn on music with a fast beat.
- π§Ί β²οΈ Set a timer and go through the house de-cluttering for fifteen minutes straight. Itβs amazing how much we can accomplish in just fifteen minutes!
- πͺ Bake some brownies β the aroma is a sure crowd-pleaser.
- π Put flowers in a vase in the kitchen.
- π Choose to smile at your family. Use gentle and encouraging words.
- π§Ά Add soft blankets and pillows to make the room feel softer and more inviting.
- π€ Give a back rub, tickle, or a hug.
- π Read a book out loud or pull out a board game to play as a family.
- π₯ Change the lighting in your home in the evening. Turn on lamps rather than overhead lights. If you have a fireplace, light a fire.
- βοΈ Put on a pot of hot tea, hot cocoa, or hot soup.
- π Pray.
I can’t wait to begin this study with you! π€
I hope you will join us on Monday, October 20th for the start of this study!
π Every Monday, I will be here on the blog to kick off the week with a new video, the challenge for the week and the Bible Reading Plan for the week.
π Every weekday, Monday through Friday, Iβll be posting on the Good Morning Girls Facebook Page the assigned reading of the day at 7:00amEST. Once I post, an open discussion takes place there. Check out our community and come join in! Itβs wonderful!
π This is my favorite time of the year! I can’t wait to take this journey with you! π
