THERE ARE TRAPS EVERYWHERE – How to Stay On Track (Jeremiah 17:9)
βοΈ π€ Good Morning Girls!
π π₯ If you have not been reading along with us – that’s okay! Today’s video will still be relevant to you too!
For those reading along, I am so excited to be finishing week 2 of Jeremiah with you!
We see in the book of Jeremiah, God’s people falling into trap after trap after trap – leading them into spiritual decline and eventual judgement. It is troubling to watch God’s anger simmer and next week’s video – I’ll address how we reconcile the anger of God with the love of God.
But in today’s video we will be looking at the biggest trap there is and how to NOT fall into it!
So Join me on todayβs video as we review our reading in Jeremiah and we take a look at How to Stay on Track.

β€οΈ The world says follow your heart.
God says your heart is deceitful.
The heart is deceitful above all things
and desperately sick
who can understand it?
(Jeremiah 17:9)
So if we follow the world –> we will follow our heart and if we follow our heart –> we will be deceived.
But if we are saved –> THEN can we follow our heart?
I answered that question in today’s video (so you’ll have to watch to hear my answer π .)
But today I want to remind you of this:
There are traps everywhere.
- The enemy is real.
- Temptation is real.
- Your feelings do not ALWAYS reflect reality and truth.
- The situation might not be hopeless – though it feels that way.
- Your sins have been forgiven – even if it doesn’t feel like it.
- You are not alone – even when you feel alone.
- You can practice self control – even when you feel like you can’t – it is a fruit of the Spirit – seek God for it!
Proverbs 4:23 says: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
We must train our hearts to stay in alignment with God’s word. This is why I get so excited to do Bible Study together! We can help each other stay on track!
π So I hope you will continue on with us next week as we begin week 3 in Jeremiah. Until then – Keep walking with the King!
