Tasty Tuesday: Simple Pilgrim Hat Cookies

I love something that is a delight to the children – yet simple to do! These No-Bake Pilgrim Hat Cookies fit that description!

Pilgrim Hat Cookies Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla frosting
7 drops yellow food coloring
32 miniature peanut butter cups
1 package fudge-striped cookie
32 mini orange Chiclets gum

Combine frosting and food coloring. Dip the top of the peanut butter cup in yellow frosting and position over center hole of cookie, forming the hatband and crown. Add gum as “buckle.” Repeat with remaining cookies. Makes 32 cookies. (Recipe taken from Taste of Home)

These are also so cute just like the turkey ones. I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year and thinking about making the turkey ones and putting it by everybody's plate. Thanks for posting the great ideas.

  18. Thank yooooooo Courtney! I was looking for something cute and super simple for my daughter to make for Thanksgiving (or EeepsGibbon as she says it;-}) She’s 18yo and has Down syndrome, and loves to feel like one of the grown-up girls… it’s so hard to find things that she really can do “all by myself.” We’re excited:-D
