The SOAP method of study is explained in the workbooks.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO ASSIGNED PASSAGES TO SOAP – PLEASE FOLLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT’S LEADING AND DO WHAT TIME ALLOWS.

Some may NOT want to SOAP at all – simply work on the daily discipline of being in God’s word.

Some may want to SOAP 1 or 2 verses, others may want to do 5-10, still others may want to write out the entire chapter.  Do whatever time allows you in this season of life.

Grace. 😉

The short eWorkbook has one worksheet a day for journaling your thoughts.

The long eWorkbook has 4 worksheets a day for those who like to write more or do extra research.

You do not have to use a workbook at all though. You can simply follow along just reading one chapter a day.

Below is the free printable of every book and chapter of the Bible to mark off as you complete your reading. You will want to print this and save it somewhere near your Bible (or in it). We will be flipping back and forth between the Old and New Testament, so you will want to keep track of what you have completed in case you need to take a break and return.

  1. Thank you for posting this! I am part of a weekly Women’s Bible Study, but have really been slacking on actual scripture study. I am dedicating my mornings before my kids wake up to study and enjoy my coffee in peace. That means I’ll actually have to wake up before my kids, which is an area where I really struggle. I know, though, that doing so will set me up for success throughout the day!

  2. Thank you so much. I love printing the weekly and monthly readings and marking them off as I complete them. God is so good. Have a blessed week! 🙂

  3. Just printed off the Reading Plan for the week and the Short Workbooks as I’m off for a weeklong trip to the Training Academy for my new job! A 6 hour drive by myself! Don’t wanna get behind (I already am..lol)

    Have a great week!

  4. It was a wake up call to read about submission and humility, I have been a bit stressed and let my emotions take over my self control and my husband suffered for it. It was hard to ask forgiveness from both he and God (feeling very self righteous), but after yesterday’s reading, I was reminded to be an example to those around me. Thank you for this study. I have received God’s voice in my heart more than once in just these two books. God is great!

  5. Thanks, Courtney. I enjoy both the freedom and accountability of this study. I am still reading Esther and thoroughly enjoying it. Also reading it with my 10 year old daughter and when we finish a chapter she is asking to go on! I will be following the schedule, just at my own pace. 🙂 Thanks for all you do. God bless you.

  6. I am such a mess. I saigned up for the study. and I can’t even remember which one. I started the Ester, but ended up with a basement full of water, and Now my tremors aare back. Please pray for me. I want to be normal. I just want to cook, clean, read my Bible, and be a ggod wife, and I can’t do any of that right now.

I wonder where He is at times like this, and why he lets me set here for so long. I have begged, prayed, Where does he go when my life it in a whirlwind?

    1. Hi Dee, I just want to let you know that I am praying for you tonight. I pray that your whirlwind can slow down enough for you to see that you are not a mess, but a beloved child of God! When you can’t do anything else, maybe God is calling on you to pray; sometimes that’s all we can manage, and at those times it is more than enough. I hope you will feel God’s peace tonight. –Andria.

  7. Hi Dee,
Many are times we are too rough on ourselves, and think we are a mess. Its good to think that way, when you feel that way, you will be drawn even closer to the fact that we are mud in the hands of the potter. Jer 18: 6. I just had a look at the hands of the potter in the many pictures on the verse. Good news, if you are a mess in his hands, watch out for the vessel that in been crafted. Just remain in the Potter’s hand.

    Stay blessed
    Selebo

  8. Thank you so much for this study, and the printables to check off each week. I am still on track with my reading the Bible through in a year, but I love focusing on one chapter at a time in addition to that. I think having to choose my own verse to SOAP each day is making me have to think more as I decide which verse(s) to select, and is making it more personal. Again, thanks, and I am loving being a part of this!

  9. I have always wanted to read through the Bible and am ashamed to say that I haven’t done it completely in my thirty three years. We are trying to get pregnant with our 2nd child and having a bit of trouble so having this nightly to distract and allow me to focus on what’s important has been good for me.

I appreciate the blogs and the reiterating of all that I am learning while going through these chapters. I appreciate all the work that went into the preparation of this study. God Bless.

  10. Thank you for doing this blog I’m really enjoying my daily reading. My husband and I suffered a miscarriage last year and are struggling to get pregnant again. My faith has been weak lately but reading daily is getting me close to God again.
