Good Morning Girls will provide the accountability you need to soak in God’s word daily, grow in your walk with God and live well!

We have a lot of free printable tools here at Good Morning Girls including the free Bible Bookmark, Coloring Chart, verse of the day, discussion questions and more.

There is no enrollment.  No requirement to subscribe. All are welcome. Come and join in anytime!

What is Good Morning Girls?

“Good Morning Girls” is a title for a group of women who use email, Facebook, Twitter or text messaging to keep each other accountable for their quiet times.

How Do I Start a Good Morning Girls accountability group?

Invite some of your friends to join you.  Pray about who from your church, Bible study group, family, neighborhood or workplace would be a good fit.  Groups that are smaller generally work better – 2-12 is a good number especially for email and text messaging groups. Facebook groups can go quite a bit larger and still work.

Can I Join a Group On-Line?

Yes, we will open groups for you to join on Monday, August 31st. Stop back on that day for more details!

Is there support for GMG Leaders?

Yes, we have a private Facebook Group just for you.  I’ll post that link soon – so watch for more details.

Join us for 6 weeks in the Book of Acts
starting Monday, September 7th.

Mark your calendars!

Spread the Word!

Share this post with your friends!

      1. lol Thanks! I’ve been following since 2009 when I was looking for resources to homeschool. May God continue to bless you and this ministry 🙂

  2. Can husbands use the journal or is it just for sons?? I think my husband might enjoy something like this… So excited for Acts!

    1. Hi Jennifer,

The journals are identical – with only a cover and interior style change. So yes, a husband could definitely use this! 😉

  3. Hey Courtney,
That was an excellent video. I can see the passion you have for the Word is pouring out of you when you talk about training the next generation.
I’ve been a leader since we started reading through the bible and I had only been a Christian for about a year and a half. I was in no way qualified to be a leader. But God has given me the qualifications as I felt so called to this ministry.

    1. Thank you SO much for taking the challenge of leading Chantelle. I’m so glad to hear how God is working in your life and using you!!! Keep on going! We are in it together!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  4. Exciting news! I love it! I have really enjoyed studying the Bible with GMG….spreading the word to my friends! Our family also enjoyed going through Proverbs together. I have 2 boys , 10 and 12. They are going to enjoy these journals just for them! Thank you for all the time you put into this. Many Blessings!

  5. Hi Courtney!! I can’t wait to start and I will be including my 9 yr old and 17 yr old daughters. I always do, but haven’t in the summer, our schedules are off. I am going to be starting, to get them going with soak method Next week, I will be getting them up early and getting into our routine early. We are so in!!
I do have a GMG group, 3 of us has been that for past several years. I love it so much it helps keep me so accountable, with gleaning from one another, to praying for one another and also being able to be transparent, keep it a safe place to share and keep that in the group.
Can’t wait for September 7th to get here too!!!
    Thanks again for everything!!
    Much Lobe and many Blessings!!

  6. I see that someone else had the same thought as me, that God Morning Guys could be for Husbands! My daughter (almost 15) did the Proverbs study with me. She had read Song of Solomon recently, so she just went on with her regular Bible reading the past couple of weeks. I enjoyed discussing what verses we picked, and such, just as you were saying with your kids. Maybe I can get my whole family on board in the near future. 🙂 Thanks for you heart, Courtney! And thank you to all the other ladies that contribute to GMG!

  7. YAY!! Looking forward to purchasing the Acts journal! The Proverbs journal was great! I LOVE fall but hate what comes after…winter 🙁 At least we have your make your home a haven challenge to look forward too! That and Ohio State Football!! GO Buckeyes!!!

  8. Thank you so much for sharing what you did with your kids when they were user 10!!! I have a son that is 7 and I gave struggled so much with how to do quiet times with him. I don’t want him to get frustrated or to feel overwhelmed. The workbooks are perfect!! I’m excited to get mine and start the first day of school. Thank you so much for your heart Courtney, you have blessed me so much over the years and I am so thankful for you!!!

  9. After talking with my husband and sons the decided rather than doing the book of Proverbs (which both boys had just studied in school right before summer break) they wanted to dig into the book of John as a family. Oh how precious that time has been! My heart is overflowing as I watch my boys learn and grow! We are in a new season of life as my husband has just graduated from school and has a new job that he is training with long hours for so what we do is: my husband gets up at 5:00am and reads the chapter for the day. Then, when the boys and I get up we each read the chapter of the day. So then after dinner we pray together as a family, read the chapter together and then sit and SOAK together. After we are done SOAKing we share. Have I mentioned how much I love this time with my family?! Last Friday my husband was out of town for the night so we did bible study via FaceTime with him! It was perfect. He still led his family and we still had our time in the Word as a family. Every one of us is loving this time together which is such a blessing. Oh! And my boys are actually teenagers, 15 and 13.

  10. Is there any way that you can go backwards and make a guys and girls journal for the books that you’ve already done….like the Peters?

It would also be really great to be able to go through the whole book of Psalm. 😉

  11. I am so thankful for the GMG’s! I have always struggled with reading my bible every day and I still do once in a while but the accountability here has helped so much. I love that I am excited to read my bible now. I’ve tried several different bible study methods but the color coding and SOAK method are the only ones that work very well for my style of learning and the amount of time I have for my quiet time. So thank you for sharing those. I definitely see a change in myself as I read and grow more in my walk with Jesus. It has also helped my marriage so much! My husband has been reading Proverbs and Song of Solomon with me so I am sure he will do Acts with me too. It is fun to talk about what we learn together. I have two daughters under 2 so they won’t be able to join us but when they’re older I would love to do something like this where we can do it as a family.

  12. My husband and I have been doing the Soak method and color coding through the Bible so I can’t wait to buy him one of these Journals!! I want to thank you Courtney for for all your work and for being a blessing in my life!! May God bless you richly!! -Anna

  13. I am SO excited!! I am a little behind and also reading your book, so I’m happy to have something to “hold me over” until it begins 🙂 Thank you!!

  14. Hi Courtney,
Thanks for sharing your studies and books with so many women! This summer, we offered an independent study for women. It’s so hard to get together due to vacations and such, so we offered the Proverbs study as a way to stay in the Word. I’ve had good feedback so far!

Also, we used your Women Living Well book and questions for a women’s retreat. Good stuff! Will you be publishing another book along with questions soon?
Praying blessings over you and your ministry. Keep focusing on your walk with the King!
    Julie

  15. Hi, Courtney!

Song of Solomon was amazing! I’m going to continue to study it while we’re on break and hope to write some blog posts this time around. I needed a break after blogging through Proverbs Monday-Friday for 7 weeks…lol! 😉

I’m looking forward to studying Acts and Numbers! I’ll be leading my group for Pastor’s Wives again as well as a group for my blog followers for Blogging Through the Bible.

Love the new journal and can’t wait to get mine! I’m going to get the guys journal too and use it in our homeschool with my 14 year old son, Caleb.

Thanks for all you do to lead us and encourage us!

    Sweet blessings,
    Laurie

  16. You are such a blessing, Courtney! Thank you for your commitment, your time, and your encouragement!

    – Joanna

  17. I’m so glad that the groups will be opening up soon and I can join, I’m really looking forward to it. I found your GMG group when you began the Proverbs 31 woman study and it was amazing. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into these studies and for your leadership team, I am excited to spend time in the Word which such a wonderful group of women. Can’t wait to purchase the journal for Acts!

    1. Hi Annelie,

There will be a printable eJournal available in about a week here on the blog. It will not include the verse of the day or reflection questions (so it is a little different) but you will find those right here on the blog each Monday with our resources post.

Hope that helps and SO glad you are joining us! 🙂
      Courtney

  24. Hi Courtney,
I love all you provide to help us in our Walk with Our Lord. Thank you!!
I wanted to know if is possible to get a glimpse at what the journal pages look like, for both the girl and guy versions. I am thinking to have my son (11) do it but he needs lines to keep it all straight. So if there are not lines in the journal pages then we will opt to use the free journal that is provided.
    Thanks!
    -Stephanie

    1. Hi Stephanie – yes! You can look inside the Guys Journal out on Amazon – click the “look inside” feature on the cover of the book there and it will open! But I’ll let you known in advance – there are no lines ;).

      Hope that helps,
      Courtney

  25. Hi, I am wondering if your program is only for young married people with children, or can single lonely grandmas join in too? I would just like to find a place to fit in…a place where truth in all things is of utmost importance. I do like your method of study and everyone seems so sweet! Thank you! Cathi

    1. Hi Cathi,

All are welcome here! Tomorrow I’ll be posting a blog post with links to open GMG groups. We have groups for singles, empty nesters and over 10 groups open to women from all walks of life! So the answer to your question is yes! You are welcome and belong here!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

    1. Welcome Elda!

We had the groups open from August 31st – September 7th and now they are closed. I want to encourage you to invite a few of your own friends and create a group or just follow along on your own and join us out on Facebook here for discussions: http://www.facebook.com/goodmorninggirlswlw

The groups will reopen for one week in the new year.

      So glad you are here!
      Courtney

  26. Just discovered this and think it’s great! Did I miss the opportunity to get the free resources for the Acts study? Can’t seem to find any printables for it. I would love to have access to the discussion and reflection questions.

    Thanks!
