The Verses of the Day:

This printable includes all 6 “Verses of the Day” — for the entire week.  Print and cut them out and put them in the bathroom, kitchen, beside your bed and computer and use them for meditation throughout the week.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

    1. You’re so welcome Regina! I am taking a break from speaking engagements right now so I don’t have any to share with you – but when I am going to be at the next one, I’ll be sure to post it here on the blog.

I would love to meet you!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  2. I would love to have an email accountability partner for Bible Study as i dont use social media other than youversion and youtube. Would someone please pray about this and get back to me. I’ve journaled about today’s reading. God bless you! Btw, today’s my first day with GMG!:)

    1. Hey Crystal, where are you based?
I am in Sydney, Australia. You are welcome to email me if you like 🙂

I don’t so much do the whole SOAK method but I do jot down some thoughts and make note of memorable verses. I have a newborn so I sometimes I don’t get to it until after lunch, but if you are in the US then that would be your morning time.

I’ve also just recently started with GMG, though I’ve been a reader of the site for a while.

  3. I really, really struggle with the Book of Job and the seemingly undeserved affliction of a man whom God refers to as blameless. I typically avoid Job completely, as if it doesn’t exist in my Bible. This study has me wrestling with God; questioning and seeking, trying to reconcile past and present trials. The Lord is using this time to break through suppressed resentments toward Him for old wounds, and to remove the earthly “flawed” father perspective I’ve placed upon Him. While I’ll admit it hasn’t been a pleasant journey, it’s a necessary one.

Thank you for your faithfulness to Him and His word.

    1. I also have trouble with Job as well. Killing his children & servants?! Ruining his livelihood?!

I pray that God opens my heart and mind to this text so I can understand it a bit more.

    1. Hi Kristina,

Next up is the book of Mark. It will be perfect to prepare our hearts for Easter. The journal will not be available for about 2 more weeks. I’ll post the link on the blog as soon as it is ready.

So glad you are joining us!
      Courtney 🙂

  4. Hi Courtney,
I’ve been a reader of yours for a few years now & I’ve recently jumped into reading Job with Good Morning Girls.
I have a small blog I’ve recently started where I am hoping to record my thoughts on the scripture.
I hope it is ok to mention you on my blog and include links to your website? It’s:
    https://theliterarysam.wordpress.com/quiet-times/
Let me know if this is not alright.
    All the best,
    Sam
