February is the month of love!  While some of our holidays like Christmas and Easter lead us to thoughts about Jesus, Valentine’s Day usually centers around our love for each other.

God is the creator of love and it is because He first loved us that we love others.

It’s good to take a moment and be reminded of just how deeply we are loved.

Here’s 10 Verses About God’s Love For You-

1.) God IS Love!

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:7-8

2.)  NO ONE has a greater love for you than Jesus!

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

3.)  Nothing can ever separate you from God’s love.

In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39

4.) God is with you.  He quiets our restless hearts with His love.

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

5.)  God loves you so much he gave his only Son, so you could have eternal life!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

6.)  God’s calls you his child.

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
1 John 3:1

7.) God is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast – constant – steady love and faithfulness.

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
Psalm 86:15

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

  1. How precious are those words! For those of us who are blessed to be sharing our lives with a spouse, this day is exciting and comes with anticipation! But for many, they can’t wait until the 15th! What a great reminder that we all have that “special someone” and we are that “special someone” to our God!

  2. Sometimes we need to be reminded of His great and constant love for us. He loves us even when we disappoint Him in things we say and do. These verses are reinforcement of His love and encouraging when we feel we haven’t lived up to our potential. HE STILL LOVES US! No one loves us as He does.

  3. I am so grateful for God’s love for each of us. Nothing can separate us from His Love. What an awesome reminder. I am also grateful for my husband that God gave me. 26 years ago, today, we committed our love for one another in marriage. God has blessed us so much! He has given us 2 beautiful children that love God and have the desire to serve Him as well. Thank you, Courtney, for the reminder.

  4. I’ve been learning about God’s abundant grace and love and how that colors every interaction we have with others. It helps us to relate from a position of abundance (needs always met) rather than a place of scarcity (hoarding for ourselves). These verses are such a great reminder. Thanks for your faithfulness online, Courtney.
