Exchanging Fear for Faith

When night falls and all is silent and our heart begins to fill with fear, here is what we need to know to begin exchanging fear for faith. #Biblestudy #Mark #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Are you facing something scary?

When you are quiet at the end of the day – do fears creep into your mind?

In Mark 4 & 5, we see 4 different situations where people’s lives were touched by the power of Jesus through their fears being transformed into faith.

If you are struggling with fear – you don’t want to miss this video.  Join me as I take an in-depth look at Mark chapters 4 and 5 and how they apply to our lives today.

  1. Courtney, Thank You for the reminder that “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world”. This week in Mark has been such a blessing — walking with Jesus. Knowing that He loves, cares, hears and is “God with us” through life’s challenges has been so encouraging. I was impressed in these Chapters you reviewed that “faith” pleases God and I want to please Him. Faith enables God’s touch in our lives and I definitely want that. Certainly, keeping my eyes on Jesus and trusting Him brings peace & rest. It’s been a GREAT week “walking with the King”.

  2. Thanks for doing a new video Courtney…I’ve missed them! It’s always so encouraging to hear you talk, because you always point out some tidbit that I missed while doing my reading.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. My go to verse for fear is Isaiah 41:10 , it is very strong and was put in my path before my son was diagnosed with schizophrenia and I am e ER thankful and humbled that the Lord prepared me before hand so that I could help him on his journey to recovery – thanks be to a loving living Lord.

    1. Wow !!! One of my favorite verses during this hard times of my life !! Yet God keep reminding me that no matter how big those waves are he is with me !! N that verse let’s me know that he has a grip on my hand n won’t let go of it !!!!

  4. Thank you for your video today, Courtney! It was just what I needed to hear. It always amazes me how God has a message for me right when I need to hear it. I’ve been dealing with a chronic illness and woke up this morning with a lot of anxiety over it. I was praying a lot this morning about my fears and proclaiming the truth in its place. I didn’t know until after praying that today’s reading was one of my favorite healing stories – the woman who had touched Jesus’s cloak and was healed, and then I heard your message. Anyway, I don’t think I can really fully express how much I needed to hear your message this morning. Thank you so much for the encouragement!

  5. This is great. I just heard the other day that 80% of all prayer requests are rooted in fear. I am now looking at each request I receive from others and covering any fear that they may be experiencing as well as what they actually requested I pray for. I am also examining my own heart regarding each of the things I pray about for my self and family.

  6. Wow, exactly what I needed to hear this morning!! I have some challenges coming up today and tomorrow that were causing fear and anxiety in me. Thank you for this reminder that with Jesus Christ all things are possible!

  7. I love this video n love how God reminded me that no matter how big the storm is he is with us !!! The biggest most important thing about facing any trail or storm is being able to trust God n know that he will be with us though it all !!!

  8. To help me through every life situation, especially the storms, I am taking Joyce Meyer’s advice – Trust God and Do Good! God will speak peace to our storm in due season if we learn to relinquish control. I am learning that fear is a manifestation of our desire to control. When we can’t control the situation or outcome, we fear the possible outcomes. So day by day and step by step, I am letting go and letting God. All power is in his hands and he loves me, therefore I will make it to the other side!

  9. I am in the midst of a basically 4 year internal conflict rooted in fear. I need to take action one way or another in faith that He is in control and has good plans for me. Please pray for this as you are reading.

  10. I stopped following along for the last couple of books that was read. This site came to mind tonight. I see that I missed the first week of Mark, but I want to read along. Yesterday, I had fear come a few times–earlier in the day and late at night. My tonsils have felt swollen and they seemed to worsen at bedtime. When I tried to take a deep breath in, it seemed like I could never breath deeply enough. I felt afraid. Some thoughts came to mind about God and the future that took me captive. My mind and thoughts have been more at rest and peaceful today. I am glad to see the video tonight after the night I had last night. You ministered grace to me. I need to sharpen my Bible sword on the topics of worry, faith, and love so that I can stand firm next time and not give space to illegitimate fear.

  11. Dear Courtney,

Thank you so much for that video and that message! It is amazing and give thanks to the Lord because it is exactly what i needed to hear. I am in the midst of a storm right now, my husband and i are on the brink of separation and are planning to tell the kids today and it is so hard. Especially as i have tried everything in my power to save this marriage but it is like waking up to someone who you dont know anymore! He has changed so much! There has been physical abuse, verbal abuse, alcoholism, non provision, theft the list is endless and i just cant take it anymore. I am very worried about my children because my husband can be very malicious. I am not scared that they wont be with me, i just dont want any more drama and hurt where there has already been so much. And i realised that i was going crazy with worry about what am i going to do, how will i get him to leave, how will i stop him from telling the children hurtful things etc and the worry was just making things worse and really there is nothing i can do to control him, his actions or his words! So this morning i put all my trust in Jesus- that is the only thing i can do. I trust him to soften my husbands heart, to heal my broken heart, to comfort my children and so much more.

    Thank you for that message.

  12. Hello everyone, this is my first time joining a bible study group online and I am enjoying it this far. I am finding myself ready to get home so I can read the bible and I just started with the book of Mark. I even found myself reading over the weekend so I can stay up with everyone else. I am surprised at myself on how much I can remember from chapter to chapter. I even go back over and review my notes when I am finish with the days lesson. Thank you for have such and easy way to learn more about what this says the Lord.

  13. Thanks so much Courtney! I always enjoy your videos. I would like to encourage others who may not be in a GMG group. My Mom and I FaceTime on Tuesday mornings and review the prior week.
