If You Have Little Ones – You Will Love This!
Earlier this week, I announced our new spring Bible Study, through the Gospel of Luke.
Our Luke Bible Study will begin on Monday, March 13th and run for 5 weeks.
It is perfectly timed to focus on the life and love of Jesus and lead us right up to His death and Resurrection, at the same time that we will be celebrating Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday in our own lives.
We have an optional Luke Journal available for those who would like to have the Introduction and Background, Coloring Chart, Reflection Questions, Verses of the Day, and SOAK Journaling Pages, all in one place! It’s just $8.99.
We also have the same journal, with a different cover,
available on Amazon for guys as well
and the guys can join Johnathan over at GoodMorningGuys.org
If you are joining us for the Luke Bible Study
and you have little ones –
then you will love this!
Pat Schwenk, from ForTheFamily.org, has created an easy and meaningful way to teach your kids the book of Luke.
The Dig for Kids is a great resource for families because it makes teaching children the Bible simple, fun, and interactive!
Each lesson is just one page that contains four main parts:
The Map – The Map is the overview of each lesson. It will tell you as a parent and your child what you will be studying.
The Dig – The Dig is the main passage of the Bible you will be reading. There are typically three or four review questions that will help with discussion and review.
The Treasure – The Treasure is the big idea of the passage you have just studied. Simply put, it is what you want your child to remember in one sentence.
The Display – Archaeologists go on a dig, find a treasure, and then put it on display for all to see. This is the basic idea behind the Display. It helps your child live out what he or she has just learned.
Early on in The Dig you will meet a character named Doc. He will be your expert and experienced tour guide. Through each Dig, Doc will help guide a child systematically through books of the Bible.
Throughout this study of Luke, parents and children will discover who Jesus is, how He lived, what He taught and why it matters for us today!
The Dig is perfect for moms (and dads) to use with your little ones, alongside your own personal study, through the book of Luke!
Take your little ones on this journey with you. You will be blessed!

I hope you will join us as we prepare our hearts for Resurrection Sunday. There is no greater use of your time than being in God’s Word and in His presence.
I am here to encourage you each step of the way and the community here will inspire you and hold you accountable.
We serve a worthy Savior.

Hi Courtney thanks for always giving us amazing resources, your ministry is a blessing.
Quick question, do you think the Dig for kids would be appropriate for a 5 year old?
Thanks and blessings!
Hi Valentina! The Dig for Kids is for ages 5-11 years old (or around Kindergarten-5th grade). Hope this helps! Blessings, Ruth Schwenk
Thanks Ruth ????
Do I need both volumes of The Dig for this study? Or just book 1?
I think both volumes is ideal but you don’t have to get them both.
So glad you are joining us!
I have a question about The Dig – is it formatted the same as the journal for adults…one passage a day for five days? I couldn’t tell from looking at it on amazon. I was thinking this might be good for my kids’ church on Wednesday nights.
Hi I am Lucy Chang I am 11 years old and I live in Bradenton, FL. I found your blog when I was reading on the Bible app and I love your story of your life. I love baking and I want to have a cafe. Well I was reading I got an idea for it’s name “Christ Befor Cakes” or “Cakes by Christ”. Well hope you and your family are doing good. And I will be praying for you.
