Have you ever read the book of 1 Kings from beginning to end?
God gave us 66 books of the Bible because he wants us to read…66 books of the Bible!

So come join us as we read the book of 1 Kings – one chapter a day.

We begin Monday, April 1st.

The 1 Kings Journal is available exclusively  on Amazon.

Order it now to receive it in time for the start of our study.

We also have a Good Morning Guys 1 Kings Journal for your sons ages 10 and up.

Both journals have an identical interior.

*An Introduction to the book of 1 Kings
*An explanation of how to use the signature S.O.A.K. method of Bible Study
*The GMG Coloring Chart
*The Verse of the Day each day
*A Reflection Question for each day
*Blank space for SOAKing each chapter of the book of 1 Kings.
This companion journal is not required to join us.

What Is 1 Kings all about?

1 Kings begins with one of David’s sons contending for the throne but instead Solomon is crowned as King.  Then we watch Solomon’s reign, as he is given the gift of wisdom and builds the magnificent temple for the Lord. Following this great project, Solomon falls into sin and does not end as well as he started.  After Solomon’s death, the kingdom is divided and we will read about the procession of the rise and fall of the Kings of Israel and Judah.   We will also see the faithful ministry of the prophet Elijah and the call of the prophet Elisha.

If you are new here, welcome to Good Morning Girls! We are so glad you are here!

This is a wonderful method that slows us down and helps us soak in every single word.

Here’s what it looks like in my Bible.

You can find more pictures like this out on my Instagram page.

Still not sure how this all works? Here is a video explaining it further.

Here are the highlighters, pens and pencils I mentioned in the video:

Highlighters – Bible Hi-Gliders

Fine Line Non-bleeding Pens – Multi-Colored Gel Pens

Colored Pencils – Crayola Twistables and Crayola Colored Pencils

I use the ESV Inductive Study Bible and the ESV Journaling Bible as my personal study Bible.

  1. Trying to purchase the in depth studies. Are you able to provide me with the books ???? that are in depth. Please and thank you ???? in advance.

      1. I just finished the Ecclesiastes study and it was wonderful! Thank you. I also purchased the Ruth study for later. Downloaded both to my Kindle

    1. Hi Sherri,

Yes- all of the blog posts and videos for all of the studies remain available here on the blog after the studies. So they’ll be here for you.

      Hope that helps!
      Courtney 🙂

  2. I currently have both of your in depth studies, I love them. I just recently started to search within your site and I would like to follow along with this study that is coming up on April 1st. I can not thank you enough for having a platform like this that we can come to and learn in our own time and place to build our relationship with God. Something I have been struggling with for years. Finding the time to dedicate, seems like always something gets in the way. I hope I am able to follow along.

    Again, thank you immensely.

  3. Hi Courtney, I’ve been leading GMG Detroit for 2+ years now and we’re up to 119 members. We keep going even when you’re on break, since I’m unsure when you will announce new studies, I make my own resources until you announce your new one. We weren’t able to join John in real time (as we did Leviticus and Hebrews after Christmas) but we are finishing up John this week in hopes to join 1Kings in real time (even reading 2 chapters Friday to be ready). I see you mentioned the resources aren’t going on the blog until Monday. I post the day’s reading (and scripture graphic) by 5am each morning. And try to have them all scheduled by Sunday night for the week. Is there ANY way you can post the resources Sunday night (like you used to) so my group can join this study in real time?

    1. Kelly – wow!!! Your group sounds amazing!!! Thank you for leading!

Good questions – Yes, I will have the Monday Resource post up every Sunday evening like usual. So it will be here for you.

So glad you are joining us again!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney 🙂

      1. thank you thank you thank you!
GMG got me thru my divorce in 2016. I don’t even remember how I stumbled on your studies. I was under so much stress at the time, I just needed something simple and daily. I eventually started a group in Michigan after clear prompting by the HS to invite a few friends to join me for James. 35 women signed up! It’s been all about obedience for me ever since. It’s HIS study. I just answer the call and obey. So thankful for this ministry and your testimony! I have been so blessed and met so many women as I sure you have, too. My Aunt Marie started Buenos Dias Chicas Uruguay y USA after being in the GMG Detroit group. She and her husband are missionaries there. 26 members strong. It’s hard for the women there to get together, so GMG in Uruguay has been a blessing there too!

So far, John has been my most favorite book.

I encourage everyone to check out these messages on the book of John – so so so good!
