Introducing the New Fall 2019 Bible Study

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here is the information you need for the Fall 2019 Bible Study. #Biblestudy #fall #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Welcome to Good Morning Girls! I’m so glad you are here.

Cue the confetti!!!

It’s time to announce the NEW Fall 2019 Bible Study!

 Drum roll please…

It’s the book of 1 Corinthians!

I really hope you will join us!   This will not be an easy read but it will be so good for us. Paul wrote 1 Corinthians to deal with the issues that were coming up inside the church such as immorality, lawsuits, marriage, divorce, the Lord’s Supper, spiritual gifts, Christian love and the resurrection.  Some of the scriptures we will cover have been interpreted differently by scholars and have caused denominational divisions.  So, as we dig deep into God’s Word together, may we seek to keep unity and love at the forefront of our study together.

This study begins on
Monday, September 9th.

The optional 1 Corinthians Journal is available
NOW exclusively
on Amazon!

Inside the journal you will find:

*An Introduction to the book of 1 Corinthians
*An explanation of how to use the signature S.O.A.K. method of Bible Study
*The GMG Coloring Chart
*The Verse of the Day each day
*A Reflection Question for each day
*Blank space for SOAKing each chapter of the book of 1 Corinthians.
This companion journal is not required to join us.

What’s 1 Corinthians all about?

The book of 1 Corinthians is a letter from Paul to the church at Corinth. Paul established the church in Corinth, but soon after his departure there were divisions, disorder, immorality, confusion and a lack of love inside the church.  These internal divisions were tearing the church apart and so Paul wrote to clarify, instruct and encourage the Corinthian church.

How do I enroll for this fall study?

There is no enrollment.  No requirement to subscribe.  Just come and join in anytime!

What is Good Morning Girls?

“Good Morning Girls” is a title for a group of women who use email, Facebook, Twitter or text messaging to keep each other accountable for their quiet times.

Do I have to have a Good Morning Girls Group to join the Bible Study?

No.  You can do this study without a group on your own.

How Do I Start a Good Morning Girls accountability group?

Invite some of your friends to join you.  Pray about who from your church, Bible study group, family, neighborhood or workplace would be a good fit.  Groups that are smaller generally work better – 5-12 is a good number especially for email and text messaging groups. Facebook groups can go quite a bit larger and still work.

Once I have a group, what do I do?

Either create a Facebook Group where you can all discuss your daily reading and reflection questions or create an email group and email the group daily.  My group uses Voxer – a voice messaging app -to share about our quiet times.  You could also use text messaging or meet in person weekly in your home or at a coffee shop.

I want to be a leader of a group but I’m not sure how to lead?

To access the FREE Leader’s Training Video Series go —–> HERE.

The Good Morning Girls Leaders Manual is available as a digital download for free –> HERE.

Or you can find it out on Amazon in Paperback –> Here.

The manual includes: The leader’s responsibilities.  How to set up a Good Morning Girls Group. What to do once your group is set up. Tips to help your GMG Group thrive. How to Encourage Participation. How to fostering an atmosphere of community. The importance of prayer. A sample welcome letter. 9 ways to get more out of your Bible Study. Answers to frequently asked questions. Icebreaker Questions. And What to do if your GMG Group is struggling.

Can I Join a Group On-Line?

Yes, on Monday, August 26th, I will invite women with open groups to leave links to their facebook groups or email groups, in the comment section here on the blog. So please stop back on that day to look for a group!

That’s all for now. If you have never seen the video that explains how the SOAK Method and Bible Coloring Chart works – I am posting it below. Here are the highlighters, pens and pencils I mentioned in the video:

    1. Hi Kathlene – we are reading one chapter a day – Monday through Friday – and there are 16 chapters. So it will be 3 weeks + 1 day.

      Hope that helps!
      Courtney 🙂

  1. Ordered my book. Yay! Will be ready to go. Thanks for doing these studies, Courtney. It keeps me in the Word and I really enjoy the format.

    1. Hi Pamela,

Ruth and Ecclesiastes are both verse by verse in-depth Bible Studies. We’ll be reading every verse of 1 Corinthians but at a faster pace, taking it one chapter a day. So this study will not be like Ruth and Ecclesiastes but more like the Psalms study we just completed.

      Hope that helps!
      Courtney 🙂

  2. Yay! We have been studying 1 & 2 Corinthians this summer, so your study will be a chance to go further in-depth and learn even more this fall! I always enjoy your posts and encouragement so much.

  3. I’m super excited for this new Bible study this Fall. We have been touching on some of these points at church lately. This is going to be an awesome way to get new inside and knowledge as we continue to study and meditate on God’s Word. Thank you, Courtney! ????????????❤️

  4. I really want to do this study with you (I’ve done a couple in the past and loved them!) but I’m expecting my first baby at the end of August which means I’ll have my hands full and might not be able to keep up with you guys. ???? I know I can go at my own pace but I prefer studying at the same time as everyone else ???? I hope that at one point I’ll be able to catch up on all your previous studies ❤️ Thanks for all you do!

      1. Hi Alex,

Congratulations on your new little one that is about to arrive!

Yes – this is going to be like our study through Romans. And all of the resources will remain available on the blog after we finish.

        Much Love,
        Courtney 🙂

  5. Just found your blog and can’t wait to start this wonderful book in the Bible. I’m sorry I missed the one on Acts. I love Pauls teachings as well and how we live by grace.

    1. Hi Denita,

I’m sorry about that. You should find it along the right hand sidebar at the top – or if it is not there – scroll to right below the last comment of this post and you should find a place to enter your email address.

Hope that helps and so glad you are joining us!
      Much Love,
      Courtney 🙂

  6. Hi! can’t wait for this new study!.. I have a question, do you have them in Spanish? Would love to share them with my mom, but she only speak Spanish.

  7. LOVE this and am currently in a bible study at the moment. Can you kindly tell me when the next book of bible in which you will study will start? Anxious to join in on your next one!

Prayers to you and keep the inspiration flowing!! 🙂
