From Genesis to Malachi, the Old Testament is not a random collection of stories, laws, kings, prophets, poetry, and history. It is ONE big story of God’s faithfulness, His covenant promises, His holiness, His mercy, and His redeeming love. 💙
WHAT’S INSIDE?
Both journals include the SAME 31-day devotional journey through the Old Testament with the same:
🙏 Verse of the Day for meditation
🔍 Devotional Overview of each book of the Bible
✍️ Devotional Reflection to help you live out God’s Word
The only difference is how you choose to “SOAK” it in.
📖 The 31-Day Devotional Journey includes reflection questions and space to write your answers and prayers.
🧩 The 31-Day Devotional Word Search Journey includes a word search each day to help you slow down and reflect on what you learned.
Same study…Two different ways to SOAK it in. Choose the one that fits you best!
What We’ll Study
Over 31 days, we will walk through the entire Old Testament in order.
What You’ll Experience
As we walk through the Old Testament together, you will begin to see:
- How the Old Testament books fit together
- God’s faithfulness woven throughout every page

- Why the Old Testament matters for us today
- How every book points forward to the coming Messiah

Is the intent to read an entire book of the Bible each day? Or is each day’s reading a small portion of a book? I absolutely know i cannot do an entire book each day. So not sure if this study is for me.
Hi Patti!
This is a good question. We will not be reading the entire Old Testament – that is an enormous task!
I have been blogging through the Bible here for 10 years and many of these books we have already studied and read the entirety of – so this is a pause to review some of the books we already covered along with looking at some of the ones we have not covered yet to gain a big picture of how it all fits together.
So there will be a verse of the day, along with a detailed overview of each book of the Old Testament, along with reflection questions. So we are stepping back and learning what each book is about, why it matters and where it fits into the bigger picture. So this is more of an overview than a book by book reading plan.
Hope that helps!
Courtney 😊 💙
Thanks. That helps a lot! I think I CAN do this.
Is there an evening option for those who work early mornings?
